Over 200 000 people have participated in This War of Mine fundraiser to support the victims of Russian aggression in Ukraine, raising over $850 000 that have been donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
Over $690 000 raised from the War Child Charity DLC have been donated to focus on helping children who suffer from conflicts and wars around the world.
This War of Mine has earned a place in various prestigious exhibitions such as those at the Imperial War Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Recently, the game received a Special Recognition Award by Amnesty International for its continued relevance in portraying the harsh realities faced by civilians in conflict zones.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of This War of Mine. A decade since its release, the game’s mission to shed light on the civilian cost of war is far from over.
That’s why, very soon, the game will receive a new charity DLC, Forget Celebrations. In this new story, you’ll return to war-torn Pogoren to follow the story of Katia, a seasoned war correspondent. While struggling to write a book on the brutal realities of war, a missile attack devastates her home, forcing her into an even harsher fight for survival and the recovery of her gathered material.
All studio proceeds from #ForgetCelebrations will be donated to support our charity partners in this anniversary initiative: War Child, Amnesty International, Liberty Ukraine, and Indie Games Poland. Stay tuned to learn how you can make a difference.

As 11 bit studios we're known mostly as the developers of This War of Mine and Frostpunk but there are more games we're working on! The Alters is a title developed by a team that consists of many former This War of Mine creators and as such is in many ways a spiritual successor to this cult game. While the setting is totally different, taking you to a distant planet instead of a war-torn city, the game aims to ask as many important questions. Just like in This War of Mine, The Alters’ main protagonist faces impossible odds and must discover how far he is willing to go in order to save his life.

Jan’s only hope for survival is to employ additional helping hands on board his mobile base… but how? Stranded on an inhospitable planet, Jan must create alternative versions of himself to survive on board a mobile base. These “Alters” are more than just new sets of skills. Each one of them is a human being, a genetic alteration of Jan Dolski with emotions, fears, and memories. Getting along with them is a struggle in itself for our hero, a struggle he cannot avoid as impending doom is approaching with each second. It’s this form of emotional management, combined with the management of the base space itself that fans of This War of Mine will find both familiar and satisfying.
