Patch v1.0.3 (Dialogue Choices, Game Speed Option, Bug Fixes)
Hello everyone, hope you're all staying safe and having a good start to the New Year! I've been sick through most of the holidays, but finally cut a new patch!
The gameplay is very similar, but I've made progress on some requested features from beta feedback. The two main ones being dialogue options, and increasing game speed. You will now be able to set movement/combat animations to "fast speed" (2x), which should make the game feel a lot snappier. Would love to hear if it feels responsive.
Changes: - Game speed option in the game menu. - Dialogue option at the end of prologue chapter (won't spoil any more than that). - (fixed) Bug where AI change wasn't getting saved on reinforcements. - (fixed) Bug where skipping dialogue while fade was happening caused black screen. - Small changes to dialogue as I continue to try and improve my writing style.
Patch v1.0.2 (0 Health bug fix, dynamic footstep sounds
Thank you everyone who reported any bugs and gave feedback, or even just gave the game a try/wishlisted!
This weeks patch comes with a fix for one of the more common bugs people were having, where on "chapter restart" characters would come back with 0 health. They weren't getting wiped correctly from cache on save reload, but now they are so this bug should be completely gone!
Changes: - Fix for 0 health bug. - Dynamic sound for footsteps (different sounds on forest terrain, rocky, etc). - Framework implemented for dialogue choices. - Shortened tutorial verbiage so player isn't presented with wall of text. - Cut-scene units will no longer show outlines when hidden.
V1.0.1 Out - Bug Fixes
Hello everyone and thank you for trying out the open beta for Those Who Rule. I've already received some fantastic feedback and bug reports, the most severe of which I hope to fix with this release.
Patch notes: - Bug fixed where unit would continue running animation, causing the player to have to terminate the game. - Bug fixed where exp bar wouldn't disappear, causing the player to have to terminate the game. - Footsteps added during battle. - Reduced tutorial verbiage to only what is necessary for the prologue.
