Hi everyone,

The time has finally come where I can say Three Days is finished or to a point so close that only small fixes will rarely be needed. My plan is to continue updating all the small things people find but this is the full release.

Here is the Full release fix list:


  • Fixed achievements steam API now constant
  • Got a valid wiki setup ready for editing
  • Fixed difficulty listings switching from Boolean eg. Godmode = False,No
  • Finish gorepixelgames site ready for full release.
  • Fixed change log issues
  • Added twitter icon on start screen
  • Balanced level up system a bit. reduced rock values to 70XP
  • Scaling issues fixed
  • Fixed text on difficulty centring to side of box.
  • Added version number to start screen
  • Fixed god mode difficulty reading easy on difficulty screen
  • Fixed death animation being to small for water death
  • Fixed options menu to be more neat. GUI + organisation
  • Centred pause menu
  • Fixed clouds /birds overlaying on options menus
  • Fixed Start screen guy overlaying
  • Fixed easy mode health going above 120
  • Various misc Fixes


Note: There may be one patch in the next 24 hours as I cant fully test achievements until it is uploaded.

Progress

Hey Everyone,

So over the past few weeks i have compiled a list of what is going to be fixed for this last update.
Thanks to everyone who helped iron out the final touches by playing the game and letting me know whats needed for this final push.

Note: Nothing from here is going to be majorly game changing as all the machanics and gameplay elements are already set in stone, this is bugfixes and balences.


1).Fix changelog issues.
2).Fix for button increasing in size on startscreen
3).Fix the link for the wikia page.
4).Finish gorepixelgames.co.uk ready for full release
5).Fix difficulty listings switching from boolean eg. Godmode = False, No
6).Fix text on difficulty centering to side of box.
7).Fix Intro cutscene conversations moving too fast
8).Fix Main Menu song replaying every time you enter main menu from any other menu.
9).Fix scaling issues when resizing windows (in tutorial page)
10).Balence level up system a bit.

+ Any other fixes needed along the way.

So this is the final list of fixes for ThreeDays which i have put a deadline of June 2nd which is the date of the norwich game festival in which i will be attending with threeDays and hopefully some of my new project "The Lights Descent"

Its Been A While... Thankyou.

Hi everyone,

Its been a while...

A massive thankyou if your still following me and checking my games out, its come to my attention that ive not done anything on three days for quite some time and thats not great :L.

Its been a weird start to the year and all, ive really been lost with game design recently and have just layed back and relaxed along with working towards other things outside of Game design such as certifications for my day job.

So here is my proposal to get out of this rutt i will be developing ThreeDays solid for the next month hopefully ironing out most of the minor issues and finally fully releasing the game.

I hope from then to start a new bigger project and get Back on track,

Thankyou to everyone for your patience with this, and cheers for understanding that i just do this as a hobby.

The Silence and the Future.

Hey All,

Just wanted to post this announcement to let everyone know what's been going on.

pretty much been working on the sequel for the last few weeks to get my foot in the ground with that, however there is a good reason why i have done this.

As some of you may know the steam user reviews system has changed weather you think this is for the good or bad, i personally feel that it was a bad move as it did remove 20 out of my 23 reviews, pulling Three Days down to a mixed. I was quite cross with the changes because of all the work i had put into promoting and making the game and the way it has been implemented is in my opinion pretty shoddy. The reason i say this is because a lot of the reviews i had came from various sources, Beta testers, who i value there opinions greatly and are critically honest to me, People who i dont even know have posted reviews and had them removed just because they where not bought directly from steam. Why is this bad you ask?

Well here is a breakdown of where my game is distributed:

Steam (Obviously)
Indiegala
Groupees
Donations to charity livestreams
Keys to meetup groups as a generous donation
a few giveaways (Youtubers, reviewers)
and other distribution points.

The system that steam claims people are abusing is affecting honest developers who dont cheat the system, all my reviews i have received have either been from reviewers who i dont know, kind friends who decided to support me and wrote what they thought (Including a negative review) and others who have bought the game on a third party website.

And before anyone comments about "Oh well you going to get a fair reviews on your game now" not really because 2 of the 3 negative reviews where removed from the overall score and 18 of the positives.

Dont get me wrong im not after the score for Three Days , im just after the feedback for other players which makes it hard to sift through with the new system and doesnt give an overall perspective on my game.

So overall i will be getting back to making Three Days however i feel like this will be the last update in Early access as i can feel the game coming to a point where im getting very little feedback. And feedback i am getting is just not possible to implement and will weigh the game down. I will continue to update after we are out of early access it's just i want to move on to the sequel.

On a side note you will be able to get Three Days for a reduced price 66% off for 5 days on October 6th.

Its that time again! , It's update day!

So what's been added this time? :
<*>Added flames and ash to the game
<*>Trees + bushes can now be set alight by fires and spread to others.
<*>Trees & bushes create new Wood Ash item
<*>Player will heat up from flames
<*>You can destroy objects using the delete key when mouse is over them
<*>Fixed the music on the cutscenes and credits
<*>Surfaces can now be disabled on lower end pc's
<*>Fixed /messed with code for scps to run away from fire/players
<*>Fixed sharks from being able to spawn in land
<*>Fixed fish from being able to spawn in land
<*>Reinstated options menu for surface option
<*>Walls/spike walls can now be uncrafted
<*>Walls now mesh together

Its that time again where i let you know we have an update out!

So what's been added? :

<*>Fixed Text over difficulty on difficulty screen
<*>Fixed player name not displaying on one of the cutscene text's.
<*>On the island the game pauses on the start text , (time pauses)
<*>Shortened start tutorial from 12 slides to 8
<*>Fixed Spiked wall bug crashing the game
<*>Fixed crafting page and normal page having the same writing
<*>1/7 chance of getting a redacted page
<*>Added mute/sound button ingame
<*>Fixed audio glitch in game over screen and added a death sound effect.
<*>Added Game Over text ,9 different texts will display at random
<*>Added and implemented godmode
<*>Fixed time of day to say time under it and not remain
<*>Player UI removed from map
<*>Added new map icon
<*>Player displayed as you are here on map
<*>Added map background 1536 x1152 and reduced zoom of map

So this is quite a big update and has been long awaited , i've tried to get as much as possible done after my holiday and hopefully this suffices your hunger for Three Days once more.

Just a quick message to see if anyone would be willing to write a review on the storepage (Positive or negative). The reason for this is so that i can get a gauge of what is good about the game and what can be improve or removed also the overall reaction of the game to everyone, so far we have mainly positive reviews which is great ! However if you havent posted a review yet it would be much appreciated weather that review be negative or positive. All feedback helps me see exactly what i need to work on as a developer and what people enjoyed.
