Throttle Powah VR

SuperPipe Update.

Hey guys, just released a new version for Throttle Powah.
Most of them based on inputs of our beloved players.

[previewyoutube="rZmNkolSIok;full"]

CENTER OF GRAVITY FIX!
First of all, for everyone that loves freestyle, it has been fixed! Took me a while but I found out what the problem was, mainly it was the center of gravity of the player that got all messed up. It's now fixed!

SUPER PIPE.
To celebrate this fix I added a Super Pipe, just like the snowboard ones. This super pipe was actually based on a real model, true metrics.

IN-GAME MENU.
New ingame Menu (finally). Using the right controller menu button, a curved ingame menu will appear in front of you. There are some functionalities that can be used, they are:

Zone Jump - You can choose between 4 sweet spots to teleport, specially when you're lost or want to go quickly somewhere far away.

Current Racetrack - You can teleport to the beginning of the current racetrack so you wont loose time searching for it.

Last checkpoint - Now you can teleport to the last checkpoint when in the middle of a race, so you don't have to restart it from the beginning every time you fly away by mistake. You will still be able to teleport to the beginning of the race as well if you want to.

Server Connection - You will be able to select and connect to SA, NA or EU servers directly from the in-game menu.

Play/Pause music - Very self explanatory, exactly as it was before but now as part of the menu. 1 new awesome tracks from the Spin Wires has been added.

Community - For now the only working button on this category is the Throttle Powah Discord server so we can gather the community and share stuff in there. There are plans to add community made maps available and community video content.

The Garage - So, I always wanted to add skins to Throttle Powah, and the community asked for hidden stuff in the map so I put those two things together. There are 7 Skins for the wheels and 3 Skins for the Throttles hidden in the map right now. When you find them, you will be able to use them and customize your vehicle on the garage interface. Please tell me what you think of how they look. There will be skins for the helmet as well, but couldn't add them in this version.

Exit the Soccer Arena - You can now use the ingame-menu to exit the soccer arena. Making it a little bit easier to understand.

SERVERS REVAMP
All 3 servers are working 24/7 now and the Soccer Arena provides a very good multiplayer experience.

PERFORMANCE.
Fixed some things that should boost performance. Added LOD to a lot of stuff that didn't have it before. Occlusion Culling is baked within the game now giving it more performance as well.

SOCCER ARENA ENTRANCE.
Soccer Arena entrance has been revamped.

FAR CLIP
Fixed far clip and fog color do prevent the horizon to disappear depending on the angle you're looking, this was giving us some immersion degradation.

MANEUVERS DETECTOR (PROTOTYPE)
There is some maneuvers detector in the works, in this version you will be able to check for 180s, 360s and such. Still need to see what I will do with this. Still missing front-flips, back-flips and barrel-row.

Some extra minor fixes and additions.

Next new additions.

And then guys, I'm back working on some additions to Throttle Powah.
One of them is an ingame wonderful curved MENU containing some requested features. They are:

- JUMP ZONES, through the buttons on this category the player may use a shortcut to teleport to the desired location, including current tracks. (for you who get lost in the dunes).

- MULTIPLAYER, I'm finally creating a way for the player to be able to connect to the server in their region via an ingame button.

- TUTORIALS, this zone I started initially as "coming soon" , in the future I am going to create some videos that represent the tutorials of the initial area.

- COMMUNITY, I'll put here access to community-created content, like videos and maps created by players.

- GARAGE, I really want to add a garage where players can customize their wheels, throttles, helmet and boost effect.

To be able to create a gradual and rewarding system of unlocking the customizations of the garage, I will create two types of items that can be collected by racing around the world.
One of them will be more common, like some Sonic rings, which will also serve as a guide in the tracked races in the way they will be positioned.
The other type will be a type of money that can open boxes containing customization content of the garage, these will be much more hidden by the map, but can also be bought with rings (the previous item)

I apologize for the delay in which updates go to Throttle Powah. I'll post news about this update soon.

Soccer Scores and Leaderboards Update!

Hello, an update has been uploaded today focused on Scores.

- Added Scores to the Soccer Arena
Red and Blue Team Scores. Every time a goal is made, the ball will be repositioned at the center. Counter will reset for both scores when one of them reach 7.
Goal area now have a force-field to represent it's boundaries. Also special sound and effects were added to make goals more espectacular.
It's a first step thorwards real matches, We still need to implement a Team Choosing system so we can deal with player number on each team and also reposition them after each goal.
Match time still need to be implemented.

- Added Steam Leaderboards to represent All-time records on the tracks.

- Fixed some turns of the twisted roads making them rotate to the inside avoiding tossing the player to the tangent.
- Improved player physics specially inside the soccer arena.

- Fixed a bug with the menu reposition button that was causing players to reset to the beggining of the first track they started on a session and would never change from that.
- Small changes were made to the scenario.

New AWESOME update!

Hello THROTTLE MANIACS, a new update has finally arrived. Throttle Powah wasn't being worked on for a long time but recently a new programmer with awesome skills joined the team and already began kicking ass with a new code for how the ball work on multiplayer. It was added to this update so try in and give us feedback please. Remember to connect on the server closest to your region so you can provide yourself and others the best experience.

The arena is still placed on the map, so no matchmaking and stuff like that but the first step is actually trying to deliver a good experience.

Also...

- Gigantic Snow Mountain full of slopes and stunts.

- Huge desert area with dunes and canyons.

- New beautiful soccer arena with a cool new better multiplayer ball to play with.

- New multiplayer time-track races with twisted roads and crazy design.

- New graphics for the throttle rockets and helmet.

- Everything is even crazier than before.

UI to connect on servers is still on the monitor we will be working on that.
Everything is still work in progress, not even close to a finished version of the game, but the idea is here and improvement is on it's way.

What's going on.

Hey guys, so just to give you an update.
Finally a real programmer is joining me to develop Throttle Powah, he is an experienced developer with very good multiplayer skills. The only problem right now is that he doesn't own a VR headset but that is being taken care of, probably by the end of this month 2 new HTC Vives that was bought exclusively to aid on TP development will arrive.

Initially he will focus on making our much desired soccer arena work as it should and later on he will probably fix a lot of code and make things work better and be ready to be expanded on the future!

Meanwhile, I'm working on 20 new tracks and a huge new map full of stunts and places to race. It's going to be awesome!

Thank you for waiting all this time.

See you later.

New Throttle on it's way.

What you think about this new throttle?

This one will be set as the only option on the next update but it's a first experiment on creating several options to be chosen from. Different themes will be created so they can be used as skins to give players a unique look.
Cheers.

I'm Back.

Hello everyone, long time no see.
Well, there has been dark times surrounding me and specially the project after the last update. I was working on a big update with a gigantic Snow Mountain and a Desert full of canyons and dunes and other features when the whole project file got corrupted.
I know that a professional developer should keep backup of his files and I did, the only thing is that it was OLD, like 2 updates before the last one so graphic improvements and ingame voice chat and all new changes has been lost.
That and the fact that the money I got from initial sales wasn't that good brought me back to reality a little and made me dedicate my time to my full time job (that is creating a PC non-vr MMORPG with a team of 20 people).

After the nightmare faded a little bit, I started studing how could I continue developing Throttle Powah, specially since I began playing Sprint Vector and found it to be so awesome and mixed with some Rocket League sessions got me really into thinking I should go back to work on Throttle Powah even though all that misfortune happened.
Well, I started yesterday and already got some pretty good improvements. Will post news about it soon!
I'm deeply sorry for everyone that felt somehow cheated.

Update - Voice Chat and more!

Whatsup everyone, a new update has been launched with new stuff! Voice chat is here!

-Had to work with several performance optimization so I could improve the map without FPS loss, this includes new ways of implementing textures and some models have been changed. The tire model had more triangles than the number of triangles of the entire map put together so it's also new.
-After gaining performance I was able to activate 2 camera shaders that will improve the graphic quality of the game

1- Bloom will make light more pleasant to see.
2- Sharpen will make things less blurry.

-Voice chat!
-Some new stunts were added.
-2 new circuits will be added to multiplayer servers on the next few hours.
-Some stunts and other models has been worked on.
-Started working on an ingame UI but it is still not complete, so you will only be able to see it's new art on monitor.

Coming soon:
-After this update and receiving feedback to check if your FPS is ok, map will be expanded with new tracks.
-Throttle body colliders will be added and rail grind tricks will be tested
-New throttle body options and head options will be made.
-Detecting trick maneuvers and putting some sort of race trick track or overall leader board.
-Ingame UI
-I had a meeting with a guy that will help me with the online ball, but he will only be able to work on the project 1st of July.
-New Circuits.
