Tic-Toc-Thursday #5: Hell and back again

Hi all!

This Thursday we went through hell and back to deliver you this lovely update of DOOM!

So we paid the fare and crossed some rivers with the ferry. Made it to that ruler who lives downstairs. Had a lovely chat over a nice and cozy fire with some marshmallows. But, when it was getting too hot under our tusks, sneaked away at some point to deliver you all a new update! (I still have some singed hair on my tail...)

I hope you all are ready for an almost impossible update. We happily introduce you HELL! In a somewhat refreshed and cooled package. In Hell mode you will get the Standard Hard Core experience with a special twist. Spikes, Bullets and other threats will now permanently finish your run as well!

Also, on a different note. The Edge-glue bug has finally gotten some progress! Yay! We estimate that this will be fixed in the coming 2 weeks. We'll be trying to fix it for the next Thursday of course. ;)

New Features:
- Hell mode! Have fun. Hehehe...
- Hell mode leaderboards

Minor Tweaks:
- Improved Toy backgrounds
- Tweaked a bit on the new jump input
- Did some minor bugfixing here and there

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want a sneaky peek at the new features we're putting into early access. And want to help us improve our game in a heads-on fashion. Be sure to head into our Beta Line for Tic-Toc-Tower. We have an open Beta version online in which we test our constantly evolving game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers and have fun! See you all next week!

Tic-Toc-Thursday #4: Kaboing boing boing!

Hi all!

Another thursday has gone by. Is that another update I spy? And although it's friday, we're not going to let you guys down.

It's busy here at Sneaky Mammoth HQ. While one of our mammotheers has his hands full with moving into his new house, we also have an update to launch this week.

The main feature this week is the introduction of our new character! Yay! This little character can reach the heavens with her Mega Bouncy Ball. While she may be a bit slower than most characters, she shines with cutenes en bouncy powers!

New Features:
- Character: Bouncy (not a definitive name)
- Adjusted jumping mechanics: Jumping works a bit different now. The longer you hold the jump-button, the higher you go. Tap lightly for small hops, hold for big jumps.

Minor Tweaks:
- Tweaked menu GUI slightly
- Put a hidden hint in the menu GUI somewhere
- Worked further on the new toy background
- Made up a whole bunch of new level names (while slightly tipsy, spellchecking will commence)

Cheers and have fun! See you all next week!

Tic-Toc-Thursday #4: Postponed 24 hours!?

Hi all!

Just a short announcement today. One of our Mammotheers (me) is moving into a new cave this week! That means lots of backpain and couches flying in the air.

Unfortunately, due to a busy week we're not able to release a new update today. But no worries! We are only delayed for about 24 hours, so expect the update tomorrow!

A sneaky hint to look forward to: A new character! So be sure to check in tomorrow for a new Tic-Toc-Tower update.

Cheers and have fun!

Sneaky Hotfix 2!

Hi all!

Some small fixes from the weekend bug reports:

- Fixed a bug where the clock would reset during Time trial.
- You can now properly see your personal score and place in the leaderboards

Sometimes the leaderboards won't load properly in-game. This is simply resolved when you refresh the list again by pressing the corresponding buttons.
I'm working on a way to make this better!

Cheers and have fun!

Minor Sneaky Hotfix

Hi all!

I fixed some minor issues which prevented some players from uploading scores to the leaderboards.

Let me know in the comments if it worked! (or not worked)

Cheers and have fun!

Tic-Toc-Thursday #3: Who's the best? You're the best!

Another Thursday goes by, and another update is rolling out!

Tic-Toc-Tower is all about speed and skill. To enhance this experience and to add a little competition, we're adding just the feature that'll fuel the drive to improve. Highscores!

Now your best scores for every mode (and the teamscore for Co-Op) gets put up on the highscore list. You can compete against the world and later this week, friends as well.

(The clever mammoth here will know that you can already check the friends score through steam)

*Highscore tables might be reset a few times during Early Access*

We're close to revealing our little Early Access surprise as well, so keep a close watch on the Tic-Toc-Tower page the coming weeks!
A little note on the EdgeGlue bug, we've so far reduced it's effectiveness in levels, but for the moment it's still and issue in the game, we're working on fixing it, and will let you all know as soon as it's fixed!

The new stuffs this week:
- Updated the Toy Background (we're still not satisfied with the design)
- Added Leaderboards to main menu.
- Made some minor changes to the GUI.
- Added a few people to the credits.
- Started adding new sound effects to the game.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want a sneaky peek at the new features we're putting into early access. And want to help us improve our game in a heads-on fashion. Be sure to opt in to our Beta for Tic-Toc-Tower. We have an open Beta version online in which we test our contantly evolving game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See you all next week, and we're looking forward to seeing players take their scores to the leaderboards!

We challenge you to beat our scores!

Sneaky announcement: Climbing the Leaderboards!

Hi all!

Just a quick announcement here.

We've implemented a first version of our Leaderboards in the Beta for Tic-Toc-Tower! (accessible through the Tic-Toc-Tower properties in your Steam library)
For now, the Leaderboards are not yet available in-game, but they can be viewed in our community hub here.

We'll have an update later this week with more features and more info on the progress of the Leaderboards.

Cheers and have fun!

Tic-Toc-Thursday #2: Learn to play

We've finally settled down this week and wanted to do something that's been bugging us ever since beta. The Tutorial.

Tic-Toc-Tower can be a immensly difficult game if you don't grasp the basics yet. The game is extremely fast and you can find yourself getting frustrated by some levels without the right balancing. So we did something new. We designed a new mode called "Play box".

This game mode breaks tradition with our stress infilled levels of 10 second terror. Play Box is a mashup of the new tutorial levels and our first batch of levels. But without the time limit, you can easily test new moves and learn characters to make their playstyle your own.

New Features:
- Game Mode: Playbox
- Tutorial start. New players get a 5 level tutorial which they must finish before starting the actual game (it should only last 20=25 seconds for known players.

KNOWN ISSUE*
- The horrible EdgeGlue bug; characters get stuck on the side of the platforms due to a horrible new bug and we're busting our asses to fix this ASAP. But it will take some time. Our apologies, in the meantime, we put in 24 different fart noices to distract you all from the bug. Enjoy!

If the responses are well we might put it in permantly as a feature.

Minor Tweaks:
- Changed Toy Background to placeholder due to unclearness of platforms.
- Fixed up a few controller issues and improved Keyboard support.
- Removed old crappy tutorial. ^^
- Improved mouse support for menu's.
- Changed up level pools for arcade and Time Trial Mode.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you want a sneaky peek at the new features we're putting into early access. And want to help us improve our game in a heads-on fashion. Be sure to head into our Beta Line for Tic-Toc-Tower. We have an open Beta version online in which we test out our contantly evolving game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

See you all next week or sooner if we can get that damn EdgeGlue bug fixed!

Gamescom!

At Gamescom we showed a trailer reel with a sneak peak of all our upcoming games! We can finally share it with all of you!
