Using Tiles as Weapons!

Greetings Peace Keepers,

This week we wanted to show you another one of Seven’s unique powers! She can cause all tiles on the field of a certain colour to explode, dealing damage to enemies standing next to them.

This power can create some fun combos with tile manipulation powers like Rose’s Assault Path...

...and Doc’s Impose Order.

Seven has an intriguing story arc, and is also a really fun character to play. Her powers open up a lot of new combat options!

Until next time!

Seven is coming!

Greetings Peace Keepers,

We don’t want to reveal too much… but as many of you have guessed… Seven will be a playable character in Episode 3! We’ll be talking more about her in the coming weeks.

Seven uses a variety of powerful abilities that give her a unique playing style.

Here’s a look at Shock Path. It allows Seven to electrify the tiles that she runs on, making them Stun enemies that try to walk on them.

Until next time!

What's coming in Episode 3?

Greetings Peace Keepers,

Ticket to Earth Episode 3 unfolds across the frozen ruins of the Rinehart Refinery. A fully automated corporate facility, the Refinery was once the steady heart of New Providence's Nitrium export industry.

Ten years ago, a catastrophic failure in the primary centrifuge brought that industry to a halt. The avalanche of high-energy waste from that disaster flooded down onto Beacon's Field, killing thousands, burying the future of the Colony.

Too toxic to repair, too expensive to rebuild: Rinehart Refinery is a rusting corporate epitaph - a fitting place from which to launch an insurrection.

Rose, Wolf and Doc will need new allies, new weapons and new powers if they are to stand a chance at stopping the twisted plans hatching at the Refinery.

Here’s a first look at Rose’s new Power, Sevenfold Strike.

It's just one of the many new powers available to our heroes. They're going to need 'em!

Until next time!

Episode 3 is on the way!

Greetings Peace Keepers,

Sorry for the extended break in transmission, Ticket To Earth is still very much alive.

An update on Episode 3 is long overdue, and we sincerely apologise for the delay. We’re a small indie team and some unexpected life events have caused this Episode to take longer than planned to complete. However, Episode 3 is now back on track and we’ll be posting weekly updates from now until the release.

We have not finalised the release date yet, but we will lock that in soon, and we’ll be announcing it in these updates.

For now, here are some fresh visuals to give you a peek at some of Episode 3.

Episode 3 picks up right where Episode 2 finishes, at the old Refinery.

As if staring down an army of a murderous criminals was not enough of a challenge, the freezing alpine environment will also be your enemy.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing information about the new player characters, new enemies, new powers, and more. Stay tuned!!

Peace out!

Ticket to Earth News

Greetings to the Steam Ticket to Earth community!

We’re hard at work on Episode 3: Meltdown, but we’ve had some other awesome stuff going on.

As we mentioned in our last news post, we’ve been doing some festival appearances and been nominated for some awards. Last week we were in Paris for the first Indiecade Europe, and the week before was attended Melbourne International Games Week, concluding with our booth at PAX Australia. MIGW included the Australian Game Developer Awards, and we were thrilled that Ticket to Earth picked up an AGDA!

Thanks again for sticking with us on this journey. Indie game development is a tricky business, and it’s only possible because people like you are willing to take a chance on projects like ours. Thanks for placing your trust in us.

Okay, back to work on Episode 3. More news soon!

IndieCade Europe, PAX Australia, Unity Awards and more

Greetings to the wonderful Ticket to Earth Steam community!

The team here at Robot Circus has been SERIOUSLY busy, and it looks like we’ll only get busier. As you know, last month we shipped Ticket to Earth Episode 2: Crash here on Steam. This month, in addition to delivering several updates to Ticket to Earth, we posted a very well-received article on Gamasutra about how politics make a game richer and more engaging.

As if we weren’t already busy enough, October looks set to be even more packed!

PAX Australia: Robot Circus will be bringing Ticket to Earth to the PAX Rising area on the show floor, featuring a sneak peek at Episode 3. Come and say hello if you’re at PAX! Keep an eye on our Twitter feed for the latest details.

IndieCade Europe: Ticket to Earth has been included in the official selection at IndieCade Europe 2017, taking place in Paris from 30-31 October. To be recognised by the selection panel is a huge honour for us, and Kevin will be in Paris for the event.

Unity Awards: Ticket to Earth has been nominated for the 2017 Unity Awards in the “best mobile game” and “golden cube” categories. Huge thanks to everyone who voted for us. We really appreciate your support!

That’s all for now. Thanks as always for your support!
