Developers’ Note 7.28 – Female Generals Update
A few weeks back, we provided details of the ongoing female general’s progress, and today we’d like to bring you up to date with where development currently stands. Right now, work on female generals for Wei, Shu, and Wu has been completed. These are currently undergoing testing on the Chinese version of Tiger Knight, and we are pleased with the feedback we have received so far.
As for the Steam version, development continues for female generals on the Roman faction. We want to ensure that all factions receive a suitable level of care and attention, and once work has been completed we look forward to releasing the content on Steam.
In the meantime, we know that waiting can be tough! To help with that, please check out these work-in-progress screenshots. We appreciate the patience you have shown up to this point, and we ask that you hold tight a little longer as we work to complete this new addition to Tiger Knight!
Developers’ Note 7.21- Q&A for Update this week
This Wednesday we have welcomed the long-awaited update for the new version, we have released 3D version of frontend; UDP connection option; new avatar function; new Purchase Event, and also several battlefield adjustments and bug repairs. Many of you showed a strong interest on the new update, and feedback a lot of problems encountered by posting thread after the update, and also made a lot of constructive suggestions for further developing direction of the Tiger Knight, which we are very moved as developers.
This week’s developers’ note will do the Q&A for the emergence of several questions to answer, Thank you for your continued support!
Q: Cannot get into battle after connecting to UDP?
A: We chose to open the UDP connection function is to optimize the game running and make it smooth, at present, as long as with the support of the UDP protocol, players can use it normally, and can effectively improve the game experience. However, because some countries have set up network restrictions, in that case players cannot join into the battle, we are very sorry about this. And UDP connection can be selected to active/close, so please use it depend on situation of your own.
Q: Does the 3D lobby show only the black background?
A: 3D lobby version is still in the test phase, the main color of the current 3D background is relatively dark, resulting in some players’ lobby is close to the pure black background board in the set of low quality display, and the display does have to be improved. Follow-up we will optimize the 3D lobby, and gradually add more beautiful scene, so stay tuned.
Q: After the update the game lobby becomes less smooth?
A: This is because the new 3D lobby occupied more resources than the previous version of 2D, so the jams will inevitably appear. Optimization has always been our top priority in the development work; we will solve this problem in the follow-up update.
Q: What if the problems like unable to enter the game; no harm in fight; bugs in display comes out?
A: For the series of problems that affect the normal experience of the game after update, we apologize for that. At present these problems have been basically resolved, if there are related problems, please post in the steam community or send email to tigerknighten_support@oasgames.com. Following our most recent update a small number of players have reported problems with the game. By now, most of those problems should be resolved, and we thank everyone who has contributed so far.

Dear gamers,
In order to update Tiger Knight to version 0.1.87 , we will be bringing our servers down for maintenance on 19th July 2017.

Update
The frontend will be updated into 3D version: During the Tiger Knight’s development process, we have been trying to vividly restore the atmosphere of the ancient battlefield. Whether the overall battle or the frontend interface, we hope that players can have a better experience and sense of substitution.
We spent a lot of efforts building high quality models and showing map details in battle scenes. The interface of frontend in the game was in a 2D background, relatively simple. So, it is time to start optimizing the background of the frontend, our plan is to change the current relatively monotonous 2D background to a more realistic 3D scene, so the character showcase can be more integrated.
The debut of 3D frontend interface may not look perfect as it is right now, but we will continue the improvement, hoping to give you a refreshing feeling.
Open UDP for connecting to the server: Players can choose UDP connection option in the settings, and through the UDP protocol to connect the server for the game, in most cases, UDP can help keep the smooth running of the game when package lost.
New avatar function: You can freely choose your favorite avatar in the lobby, and have it by unlocking the achievements; unlocking the troops; buying the adjutant and direct purchase, etc.
Event
Purchase Event From July 26th to Aug 29th, players purchasing any DLC or charging any amount of money will get the intermediate level gear ‘Gaul Bloody Shield’, 2 Soldier Seals-B, and a Thunder Silver Chest. The gifts will be sent to the in-game box.
Adjustments
Troops: Ranged cavalry now has a larger free attack range.
The overall movement speed of light cavalry has been increased by 5%.
The aggression of soldiers and general’s guards has been increased.
Other: The performance of cavalry when colliding with teammates and enemies has been optimized.
The performance and content of adjutant’s shouting on the battlefield has been improved.
Add options for the scene quality in settings menu.
Adjust the material and weight of Qin Armor.
The overall movement speed of light cavalry (the flag of troops) has been increased.
The chance of weapons rebounding when doing damage (pierce, crush, and chop) on corresponding material (leather, cloth and iron) is lowered by 10%. The defense effect provided by armors against related weapons is increased by 10%.
Bugs Fixed
The Following Collision skill gave an extra speed buff to the general exceeding his skill buff.
The stats couldn’t increase after the general took a stronghold.
The score went wrong after occupying the strongholds more than one time.
The appearance of Dragon banner crossbow was incorrect.
The sheath model of Gaul Bloody Sword scabbard was incorrect.
The stamina recovery icon on the battlefield was incorrect.
The recruitment site on Border Conflict was in the wrong place.
The exploit of Tactics Master was not effective.
The video playback could cause crash of the game.
The aggression of soldiers appeared down in Play VS. AI mode.
The length of Petal Guard Dabacksword was incorrect.
The detailed icon for taking damage may disappear.
The appearance of Huang Gai and Cao Ren was incorrect.
The ranged troops may continue to attack without target.
The troops will attack enemy out of detectable range in F3 attack mode.
The position of F1 defense will change after using Following Collision skill.
The speed of horse went wrong after upgrading the final skill of troops.
There was a difference in weight attributes when shifting melee/ranged mode of javelin.

Developers’ Note 7.14-The influence of terrain factors
In our last Dev Note we addressed the new design of strongholds on the battlefield. We are very pleased to see that’s what you guys are looking forward to. The details of new strongholds design are WIP, we will seriously refer to the recommendations made by everyone, and we will make sure the updates get released soon. In this week’s Dev Note we will continue to reveal another important content to the battlefield- terrain influence.
From the beginning of the development of Tiger Knight, we are determined to create a war game which reenacts the ancient world battlefield. We dig into the documents to have a better perception of the history, and strive to balance the authenticity and gameplay. For now, we have completed the production of a variety of battlefields with different terrains; however, the influence of the terrain on the battlefield is not meticulous enough. So in the further battlefield adjustments, we will work on them with pertinence.
We think that the influence of terrain on the battlefield should be an important factor in determining the war situation. Such as the ambush, the influence of terrain should be intuitive, when others ambush in the bushes or behind the buildings, they could not be seen by others no matter in sight or in map. So in this way, the battlefield becomes more thrilling and stimulating.
Besides, the influence of terrain on the speed of soldiers and combat effectiveness should also be vividly reflected. Such as in the grass and the river, cavalry will be weakened, and when you are in the forest, the enemy's archers and other long-range attackers will not hit you easily due to sight problems. The above is just an example of the initial idea; many other terrain influences setting like this will be formally reflected in the future version.

Developers’ Note 7.7- New Strongholds
As mentioned last week, female playable generals and an improved 3D lobby are two of the new features coming soon to Tiger Knight. While great care and attention is being devoted to these new additions, we also continue to work on battlefield gameplay and balance adjustments. Today we’d like to provide some further detail on what we have planned in that regard.
Multi-functional Stronghold
To help diversify the battlefield gameplay, we plan to add a new type of stronghold to both sides. This new stronghold will possess the functions of supply, medical, and recruitment sites, and will provide players with an ideal fallback point from which they can recover and regroup.
New Stronghold’s Impact on Gameplay
The addition of this new stronghold is a big change to Tiger Knight gameplay. When a team has lost a few members and finds themselves under pressure, they can still withdraw to this stronghold and reverse the situation. But such a powerful site also has weaknesses - the enemy can attack from the front or rear to claim it for themselves. As a result, entirely new tactics and gameplay may arise as teams try to mount a sneak-attack or defense of this stronghold.
