Update 2022-07-25 (New Spells, Balance, Many Bugfixes)

Here are the patch notes for this update.
New Spells
Time Warp
Learn (any class): Reset all your cooldowns. Usable once per combat.
Skull Break
Throw your shield. Deals (40% SP) + your current BLOCK FIRE damage. Does not remove your BLOCK.
Fire Ball
Mana Cost: 11 Throw a big fire ball that heavily damages a unit for (250% SP) FIRE damage.
Cobra Shot (Reworked)
Spawns 3 Acid Traps and summons a cute Cobra. Traps immediately shred all BLOCK on the targets hit. Cobra has @(50% DODGE) HP and BLEEDS enemies for @(25% SP) PURE damage.
Balance Changes
- Mage Ignite SP: 35% -> 30% - Crystal Golems HP: 36 -> 28, ARMOR: 35% -> 75% - Guards HP: 27 -> 22, ARMOR: 10% -> 35% - Time Dagger CRIT: 5% per round -> 10% per round - Other small monster number tweaks
Other
FEARFUL enemies now surrender all at once when only FEARFUL enemies remain. Some enemies (Bishops, Highwaymen, and variants) are no longer FEARFUL.
Bugfixes
- Fixed wrong pathing for arced missiles (e.g. Molotovs) - Fixed spell popups staying on screen when swapping characters - Fixed some crashes form missing Buff icons - Fixed webs being too high - Fixed Storm Spear not chaining in all directions - Fixed various consumable items tooltips - Fixed a bug that let Ranger move after attacking when snared - Fixed a crash at Blessed Children - Added some extra logs and guards to prevent even more crashes. Fingers crossed.

Update 2022-07-21 (Achievements, Buffs and More)
Hello and welcome to one of the more interesting patches for Tilefinder!
Here are all the additions, changes and fixes for this patch.
Buffs and Debuffs
You can now see what buffs and debuffs a unit has on it! The active buffs are always displayed as icons above the unit's HP bar. To further inspect how many turns there are left and what the buff is called, you can Inspect (Q) the unit and you will see the active buffs next to its description!
This has been a wanted feature for a long time and now it's finally in the game!
Steam Achievements
This patch also brings Steam Achievements! There are currently 20 achievements you can unlock by playing and progressing through the game!
Note that this feature is still a bit experimental. I use a third-party app to trigger achievements.
Please, let me know if you encounter any issues. I expect that Anti-Virus or Windows apps might block achievements. It will probably not work if you're running on Wine (Linux) or similar apps.
Also, very importantly, you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 or higher. This should be done automatically when you install the game from now, but for existing users, please make sure you install this.
Dust Trails
This is just a small effect for immersion. Units now leave dust behind when they move. Fancy!
Bugfixes
- Fixed Nana Joy crashing the shop after unlocking the Tooth of Insomnia - Fixed a bug causing the sea to overlap with the UI in beach/ship shops. - Fixed other background glitches - Crewmate now correctly displays +2 damage every turn.

This is a small patch. Here are the notes:
Update 2022-07-16b: - Inspecting (Q) now increases in height depending on the text. No more text out of bounds! - Added a setting for automatic end turn. It is activated by default. - You can no longer change resolution and full screen during combat since it was very buggy. - Exit now gets you back to the menu - Added a damage indicator to Spiked Barricades - Fixed some speech bubbles remaining in cutscenes - Fixed pink background in events - Fixed sea not moving properly on the beach at events and shops

Update 2022-07-16 (Bugfixes, QoL and Balance)

Thanks to your awesome feedback, I have fixed a lot of the issues with the game. Expect even more updates soon!

Bugfixes
- Fixed a crash when going to a battle after inspecting a spell in the character UI in the map scene - Fixed a crash when you took cover behind the same Highwayman that targeted you - Fixed sound settings not being saved - Fixed mana icon not appearing when a spell was infected - Improved the resolution settings viability and full screen for some resolutions (still in beta)
Quality of Life
- Changed the FEARFUL effect so that it more accurately resembles enemies giving up - You can no longer get as combat rewards options for spells you already have - Improved clarity of the Bubak healing spell - Golden statue can now no longer upgrade items with no stats - Removed the [-1] icon on Move because it was confusing - Storm Spear can no longer damage you if you're too close to the target - Spells now display "any class" instead of "all chars" to clear some confusion
Balance Changes
- Mage Magic Arrow range: 3 -> 4 - Dig range: 1 -> 2 - Blind Execution hit chance now scales with your ARMOR (100% hit chance at 50% ARMOR) - Adjusted resistances and weaknesses for many enemies - they now have more resistant resistances and weaker weaknesses - Adjusted the HP of a few enemies

Update 2022-07-12b (Hotfixes and Logs) (Steam Post)
Ahoy!
I know this is a double-post, but apparently, now I need to always post the patch notes at the same time as releasing the build.
On release, I had a lot of complaints from players about bugs and crashes. As I said, I aim to have a bug-free experience as soon as possible.
Logging
I added a form of logging in this version. I also added code guards to multiple actions in the game so that we can catch errors when they happen and log them
IMPORTANT: If the game crashes, definitely report it and attach the log file, which is simply a '.txt' file created by the game that will tell me more about what caused the problem. To find the logs, go to the game folder then to "assets/data/Logs" and find the latest log (should look like 2022-07-14_02-34-51.txt).
Bugfixes
- Fixed sound and full-screen mode not being saved. - Fixed some more issues with the game resolution (full-screen is still in beta; please report any issues with it!) - Fixed invalid discord button link - Fixed (possibly) multiple crashes. I added some extra code guards to prevent crashes from happening, or at least see what the problem is (see Logging above) - Fixed some loading screen messages overlapping with the logo

Update 2022-07-12: - Split the resolution options into 2: Aspect Ratio and Scale. You can tweak them for a better resolution setting. - Fixed a crash sometimes in the Map Scene - Fixed some missing environment effects

Greetings!
I will leave this Q&A here, as a lot of people have asked me these questions and I want them to be visible on the Store page for everyone to see.
Q.1: Will you continue supporting the game after release? A: Yes! I will keep updating the game. I want to fix all the bugs and polish it some more.
Q.2: Is there more planned content for Tilefinder after release? A.2: Yes! There will be extra updates (free) with more content. Expect more items, abilities, enemies, dialogue, lore and minibosses. Stay tuned!
Q.2.5: What about DLC's or Expansions? A.2.5: I have ideas, but nothing planned. I will only make these if the community really wants them.
Q.3: There is this bug causing units to freeze when flipped; what's up with that? A.3: It's an internal engine bug; I have talked to the Stencyl team and they said it will be fixed in the next update. I don't know when that will be, but I'll update the game as soon as it's fixed! Until then, sadly, I can't do much about it.
Q.4: How long is the Full Screen feature going to be in Beta? A.4: I'll keep updating the game and fixing all resolution problems. When there are no more resolution problems, I will declare it a complete feature.
Q.5: Is Tilefinder/Will Tilefinder be on other platforms? A.5: Tilefinder will be released for Android later in 2022.
Q.5.5: Will there be controller support for Tilefinder? A.5.5: I can't vouch for it, but fingers crossed!
Q.6: Will Tilefinder be localized to other languages? A.6: Tilefinder will be translated at least to Romanian and Esperanto this year. I can't vouch for other languages, though I will try to find a way to port it for other European languages.
Q.7: I found a bug or I have suggestions for the game. Will it be fixed and will my suggestion be taken into consideration? A.7: Yes, and yes, absolutely! I live for feedback!
