Update Roadmap

Fellow Tinertia Fans,

We've been working hard on upgrading your rocket jumping experience and here's what to expect in the Version 2.0.0 Update dropping this month:

  • Tinertia has been massively upgraded: This means shiny new graphics, updated lighting, and better performance!

  • Better Physics: The new Physics has some key improvements for example: wall-sliding is much smoother, and shooting off of floors & ceilings will now be very consistent. This will lead to some faster speed-runs :D

  • We've tweaked some levels that spiked the difficulty curve in Worlds 2 & 3.

  • We plan to reset the leaderboards to allow people to compete with the new improved physics.

  • Our work on optimizing for consoles has made it to the PC version. This means better framerates with better graphics!

  • Tinertia will now support higher resolutions like 2k & 4k.

  • Major bug fixes for replays ( especially ARC boss ). Replays will now be very consistent with the playthrough.

The updates after Version 2.0.0 will contain new features: We'll be adding unlockable skins for getting time & par medals, and a new way to play Tinertia that's very immersive ;)

To tide you over here's a wallpaper created from a screenshot of Version 2.0.0, enjoy! Wallpaper 2560x1440px

We're back!

I just wanted to update the community on some recent happenings. I had to stop all development on Tinertia for a few months due to a conflict with our previous publisher. Suffice to say that's all behind us now.

We're now working on a major update ( upgrading the game engine ) that will bring visual and performance improvements. We're also working on goodies that you can unlock with Time and Par medals.

As always we love to hear from the community about anything Tinertia. Feels great to be back, stay tuned :D

Version 1.1.1 Time & Par Medals

This update brings new tuning on the Time and Par medals, along with some minor bug fixes and optimizations:

  • Adjusted the Time and Par medals to be a bit more reasonable!
  • Eliminated the chug at the end of a level when the game saves scores and replays.

New Input System v1.0.9

After many questions & requests for Win10 native Xbox One controller support, it's finally here!

With this update we ripped out our old Input system in favor of a new one. Tinertia now has native support for more controllers, allows plugging-in controllers at runtime and Rumble for XInput controllers!

Here's the new list of supported Controllers:

  • Sony DualShock 4 (Wired & Bluetooth)
  • Sony DualShock 3 (Wired & Bluetooth)
  • Sony DualShock 2 (My-Power CO., LTD Adapter)
  • Sony DualShock 2 (Insten Adapter)
  • Microsoft XBox One Controller
  • Microsoft XBox 360 Controller

Even if your controller is not on the list odds are it will still work great. In case it doesn't let us know on the Controller Support Thread.

Version 1.0.4 now live

This new build comes with changes to a few of our achievements. Based on completition percentages we found the "Complete speed run without dying" style achievements weren't compelling users to complete them. Here is the list of changes:

  • Exceedingly Efficient - Beat Command-02 without stunning any Drones.
  • Aim For The Bushes - Beat Guardian without using Air-Dash.
  • Days Without Injury - Beat Factory-02 without touching the ground.
  • Bootstraps - Beat Drone RamR0D without rocket jumping on it.
  • Royal Flush - Beat Sewers-07 under 7 seconds.
  • Set Lasers To Stun - Beat Mines-01 without touching the ground.
  • Baby Steps - Beat ReCyclops without shooting it.
  • To The Moon - Speed-Run any World under 5 minutes.

In addition to the achievement changes this build also features some art improvements and optimizations in various levels.

Let us know what you think of the changes in the forums, and happy exploding!
