You've worked so hard to make your townians in Tinkertown happy - you deserve a treat, don't you think? 🙏
We certainly do. And that's why we're launching the NPC happiness meter rewards today! When you meet the requests and build the dream homes for the townians, they will in turn give you sweet items as rewards!
With update 1.1.0, we have also continued to focus on fixes and bug chasing. More of that will come as well! Speaking of more, with this update Tinkertown also got a whole lot more shiny! Our artist has been working hard in their magic workshop, and come out with a lot of great particle effects. Aside from looking rad, they will also enhance the feeling of impact when hitting a goblin in the head or chopping wood. A li'l sneak peek below!
Next in line for Tinkertown is more fixes, and also the Holiday update, which will be live in the near future! Connected to the Holiday content, we're also going to give you a cool insight behind the scenes. We're preparing a few videos that will show how Tinkertown and it's characters are built, from a developer perspective.
A lot to look forward to! For a full list of what's in this patch, take a gander below:
Various minor bugs and issues fixed
The Happiness Meter System now rewards players for each filled heart at an NPC. Just decorate their homes or replace their old furniture, walls and doors with things they like, by adding Quest Items and checking their preferences in the Journal
A total of 57 Items can be unlocked including the brand new Spawner Items.
Spawners like statues and the chicken coop will spawn animals and friendly monsters, some of them can even fight when encountering enemies within their spawn area.
Upgraded and distinguished effects on enemy hits
Added effects when hit by enemies
Added missing weapon effects
Added effects for tools
Take care and thanks for supporting our game! <3

🚧Update 1.0.10 live! Fixes for decoration and final boss👹
Hey Tinkerers,
Hope you've been enjoying the Halloween vibes in Tinkertown! Also, thank you for the nice input you've had on the new skins, you are looking great in them! 🤩
We just wanted to pop in here with a small update. A few of you have ran into a bug with not being able to reach the last boss, and as much as we want to protect you from any harm, we still think it's fair to let you in there. 🤓
So, we squashed that bug and also changed the newly added effects for the halloween deco equipments - they are now correctly set on the character model and looks a bit better.
Some of you have already filled in our feedback form, but we're always looking for even more of your views on the game, so we can make Tinkertown the best it can be!
We will be back shortly, talking more about the NPC rewards and the Lava Biome. Thanks for being a part of our dear community! ❤️

👻Time for spooky season in Tinkertown!👻
Dear Tinkerers,
Only a few days ago we released a new patch with some minor fixes to make your experience of Tinkertown even smoother. We also invited you to leave even more feedback about how we can improve the game via a new feedback form: forms.office.com/e/02JjAgw2bq
Of course, you can also still send us your feedback the “traditional” way – via social media, in the Steam discussions, and on Discord. ❤️
Today, we have a spooky surprise for you! A little “thank you” to our wonderful community we are so grateful to have! – We added some cute Halloween skins to the game – three of which are submissions by you, our players. 🤗
Arachnia – What happens when you get bitten by a lava-infused spider? You, of course, get superpowers, but you need to hide your identity! 🕷️
Necromancer – You can rest when you’re dead! Oh, wait…This spooky scary submission from @Rabs begs to differ! 🧟
Fallen Elder – Elder isn’t feeling so good right now – she’s feeling ALMIGHTY AND POWERFUL! BOW BEFORE HER! 🙌 What an awe-inspiring submission from @Screech!
Jiangshi – This vampiric undead creature, the jiāngshī (僵尸) from Chinese folklore, is hopping right into your town 🧛 Thanks for coming up with this beautiful idea, @Raven
Meat Boy – Be the meatiest boy in (Tinker)town! 🥩 We’re paying homage to one of our favourite franchises with this skin. (Oh and btw have you checked out Dr. Fetus’ Mean Meat Machine yet? Wink wink, nudge nudge)
Pirate - One of the developers loves pirates and always wanted a pirate costume, which would fit well into the game because Tinkertown is an Island. 🏴☠️
Laika – A couple of weeks ago we released the motorvania “Laika: Aged Through Blood” for PC. In it, you play a coyote on a motorcycle, who fights to protect her daughter in a dystopian, western-inspired world. 🦊 Make sure you check it out!
Shark - Also, from one of the developers who thought it would be funny to have a shark costume after watching people dressed up in shark costumes running around in malls. 🦈
Also, as a first-of-its-kind in Tinkertown, we are adding a decorative effect that you can equip in your hand slot. Equipping it will grant you the Wings of the Fallen! Although it was initially part of a costume, we felt it might also suit a lot of other outfits and decided to include it as its own thing.
To gather these fabulous costumes, you will have to defeat the witch within the forest cathedral. She has a slight chance to drop any of the 8 new skin sets and the Wings of the Fallen.
Cheers and have a spo0o0o00ok-tacular Halloween,
Your Tinkertown team
Update 1.0.8 and the way forward! 🛣️
Dear Tinkerers,
It's been a few weeks since our latest dev blog, and we wanted to give you an update on where we are currently at. We’ve been working hard to optimize the overall experience of Tinkertown, especially from a technical perspective, and we will continue to do so for some time.
This means that our programmers are putting almost all their time into transforming the game backend towards a database structure, and optimizing the performance. Still, we're taking what time we have left to improve other features in the meantime.😊
Therefore we’re now releasing patch 1.0.8.!
Looking at your feedback on Steam and Discord, you mentioned that new quests and follow-up quests were hard to spot. In 1.0.8, we’ve added an indicator on each NPC to show whether there’s a new quest, and updated the icons within the quest UI.
One of the other bigger requests from you was some sort of guidance system that helps players through quests. A way of making it easier to find the right places, monsters and required materials and items. Unfortunately, the current Tinkertown backend does not support such a system, but the new database structure in development will let us add it. This support feature will be implemented from the start when we release the new backend in the future!
What’s next for Tinkertown?
The 1.1 update will include the promised NPC Rewards, from decoratives to friendly critters, monsters and whatever more we can cook up until then!
We also have a certain creepy holiday coming up soon, maybe that will be reflected in Tinkertown…
That brings us to the last, and most important bit: your feedback!
We’d love to focus our work on the issues you feel need to be tackled the most, please let us know your thoughts in this feedback form. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will make sure to follow up on the results of the form in a future Steam post.
Thanks for your continued engagement!

Developer update September
Hey dear Tinkerers!
Thank you so much for your support from this summer's 1.0 launch up until now. We are humbled and thankful for having such an awesome community!
We have been working very hard with the game, based on the feedback you've given us since we left Early Access. One of the major things on the horizon is the database update, which will enhance the performance of the game.
The Lava Biome is of course also a big thing coming up, and we wanted to give you a little glimpse behind the curtain! Here's us getting into a unfortunate situation with a Watcher, one of the new mobs introduced with the biome. Watch out for that (glorious looking) beam!
As you can see on the map below, the structure of the biomes changes up a bit when we introduce the Lava area. Instead of having two desert areas, there's now one of each - forest, desert, ice and lava.
Do you have any hopes or wishes for what to see in the new area?
Talking of content updates, we also have Halloween around the corner. For that, expect some fun in-game stuff and also multiple community events on the Tinkertown DIscord.
Look forward to more upcoming dev updates in the near future, until then - take care!

Hotfix 1.0.7 Out now!
Greeting Tinkerers,
Thank you for reporting the new issues after the update yesterday. We worked hard to release a hotfix promptly to resolve those issues. Your quick feedback is greatly appreciated. You are truly amazing!
Hotfixes:
Fixed a bug where players would not be able to talk to the NPCs
Fixed a bug where sometimes townian quests would not proceed after building the house
Fixed a bug where it was not possible to interact with fast travel stations
Known Issues:
The dialogue windows cannot be closed properly. (Rare issue: A small chance to encounter)
Workaround:To close it, you can either use the Tab or the ESC button (back or menu button on Gamepads, respectively)
After closing the window this way, chances are that you are in the wrong Input State and cannot interact with anything.
Workaround:Press the inventory/menu (Tab) button until the window opens.
We apologize for any inconvenience that these issues may have caused and appreciate your ongoing support.
Have a wonderful weekend! The Tinkertown Team
