Tiny Football patch update (v0.0.2)

Hello football fans!

I've just put a new build live on Steam. The new build includes the following:


  • Fix bug with Steam achievements not unlocking
  • Controller screen - countdown timer to allow progress when one player is playing with two teams. Also, player can cancel (esc key, cancel button) out of controller screen back to fixtures.
  • New team selection screen - shows each team's skill levels, allows swapping teams with teams that aren't default selection (e.g. Italy, Scotland in world cup), shows player icon with team colours.
  • New national teams: Italy, Scotland, Columbia, Egypt, Greece, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine (am I missing any? :)
  • Fix kick off coin toss not being random enough.
  • Slight randomness on long range shots to not be so perfectly straight.


Would love to know what your thoughts are of the new features and bug fixes. Be sure to report any issues too if encountered.

Tiny Football - Early Access : World Cup

Hi Football Fans,

The game has launched today into Early Access and we plan to stream live from the University of Strathclyde Students' Union bar in Glasgow, Scotland. Earlier today I walked through 2 hours of the “Season” mode to give you a glimpse of a full season in Tiny Football. This time, to celebrate the world cup coming later in the month, we will be joining some students in a "World Cup" tournament each playing as a team of their choosing.

During the broadcast, I will be taking and answering your questions about the game or anything football related.

Tiny Football - Early Access : Kick Off

Hi Football Fans,

The game will be launching into Early Access very soon and I can’t wait for you all to get your hands on it and start playing.

To celebrate I’ll be playing through the “Season” mode so you get to see a glimpse of a full season. I won’t make it through a whole season in the session but I'm hopeful it gives you a taste of what is to come.



Before you dive into your first seasons and tournaments it is important to understand the power rankings of each of the teams. I will be refining the interface during Early Access so these rankings will be visible when you play.

Tiny Football Early Access release date confirmed

Hello fans of Tiny Football!

I'm Martyn, the developer of Tiny Football and I'm delighted to announce that the launch date has been confirmed for the 15th of November. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and feedback in getting it to this stage.



We had an overwhelming response from the recent playtest, and I've been busy addressing your feedback. Areas such as player control, attack, and defense have been improved. On top of this, new rewarding animations and cut scenes have been added to the game.



When we initially release into Early access we are taking the game to a new level with features you didn't get to experience in the recent playtest. This will include the introduction of a new season mode, which will take you and your club on a journey over the course of a full season. You will also be able to earn in-game steam achievements.



Once we launch into Early Access I will make my Trello board public. This will allow players to see the current state of tasks and what will be coming next as the game is in Early Access stage.

See you all on the field on the 15th of November!

Tiny Football is a throwback to old top-down retro soccer games of the 90s. Master the art of passing and shooting, tackles, crosses, throw balls, overhead kicks, free kicks, and more. Compete with 64 national and club teams in a variety of tournaments.




Rich gameplay and real challenge is achieved by sharing user control with AI assistance to produce passing and shooting based on individual player ability.
Each squad member has their own skill levels and players can be pre-selected before a match and substituted during a match when they are tired.
In-match injuries will force substitutions. Sent off players and player suspensions will force players to shuffle team selection adding a managerial feel to tournaments.
