My main focus for this update has been to expand and improve upon the solo campaign, as well as other smaller improvements and fixes. Initially the game was supposed to be co-op only, but late in development I decided to include some content that could be played by one person - and good thing I did! Turns out a lot of players have enjoyed the solo campaign, so I made 6 more solo levels to make it a better experience :)
Here's the full list of updates:
πΊοΈ NEW SOLO LEVELS
- Timber Transfer (Beginner)
- Spotty Placements (Beginner)
- Turbine Trouble (Easy)
- Carry On (Hard)
- The Clog (Hard)
- Hasty Rummage (Extreme)
π¨ NEW AND IMPROVED PLAYER COLORS
- 6 new paint blocks added to the garage
- Some colors have been tweaked to be more distinct and look nicer
β¨ IMPROVEMENTS
- German localization has been improved - Huge thanks to "west" on the official Discord server!
- Keyboard controls for selected layout now shown in the player menu
- Art pass on levels "Excess Express" (1P), "Across n' Around" (1P) and "Flip Flop Junk Drop" (1P)
π₯ BALANCING
- Unlocking level packs in the solo campaign is now easier
- Some gold medals are now easier to achieve in the solo campaign
- The times for the higher medals are now harder for the later levels in the 2P campaign
I apologize in advance for any medals gained or lost due to my balancing changes - I hope the time limits are more consistent now - I don't want to change them again π«
Finding appropriate time limits for all medals on all levels across all player counts is no simple task. It's taken a lot of playing the game, listening to feedback and comparing records. My goal has been to find a balance between giving new and inexperienced players a fun challenge, while more experienced players can aim for the higher medals with a steady increase in difficulty.
π οΈ GENERAL FIXES
- Some of the prompt screens having missing localization or wrong information
- UI buttons in pause menu not centered in all aspect ratios
- Level difficulty not matching pack difficulty in solo campaign
- Player color resets to default color when returning to home level after rejoining player or resetting settings
π οΈ LEVEL SPECIFIC FIXES
- Junk gets stuck on conveyors easily on levels "Auto Loader" (2P) and "This Side That Side" (2P)
- Dumping amount text in Planning Phase covered by player spawners on level "Storeroom Squeeze" (3/4P)
- Track marks leave stretched artifacts outside play area on level "Downstream" (1P)
- Dust effect shows when driving on wooden deck and barge on level "Floating Bridge" (2P)
What else is going on?
