This is the final 48 hours of our campaign, time for one last BIG PUSH to make sure we can make the game all it can be!
We have some good news to deliver on our end regarding the stretch goals. Instead of the next tier being an additional 25 cards we have been crunching the numbers and decided to offer the additional 50 Cards altogether at the stretch goal we just reached.
So the game will now officially ship with the DIY cards and an additional 50 cards bringing the grand total to 250 cards! Alright!
Wait.. we hit 35K already anyway? SUPER AWESOME!!
That means the next tier we are shooting for is the artwork added to the front of the Question Cards. We were a little late doing this update because we wanted to show these to you. Check it out and let us know what you think!
Definitely makes the cards a little more snazzy and cute don’t you think? We are currently 10K away from this goal so we would appreciate any help getting us there by sharing on social media and telling your friends.
Also at 50K we will add artwork to the Fortune Cards! We are 15K away from this goal and here’s a little peek at that:

New Feature: Added new synergies when certain presents are used together: Innertube + Spring Shoes = hop on water! Tomatoes/Slingshot + Funk-Fu Blast = tomato blast! Tomato Rain + Funk-Fu Blast = tomato downpour!
Added 3 new HIDDEN synergies:
Hidden Synergies are present combinations that when used the correct way will provide new effects.
Again once we are sure everything isn’t going to implode on us we will begin launching this update out on all consoles. Coming with the final release of the update will be an all new and improved version of the Dancing Mini Game to make it a bit easier for players to land those perfects and get funky with flawless performance!

But we ain’t stopping yet! We still have one really big update we wanna get into your hands. In this update we are trying out a new feature: PRESENT STACKING! This allows some presents to be used at the same time instead of overwriting.

You may have noticed we didn’t get a chance to launch Outta Our Shells in February. After gathering some feedback we wanted to make sure we got everything just right. So, the new launch date is…. TOMORROW!

They’re definitely some big boys coming in at 15 inches each! We hope you love them as much as we do.
As for Back in the Groove the game itself, we have gotten it into a much better state since launch but we see a few more things we’d like to address before we completely wrap up development on the game. We will be addressing a few remaining bugs and making adjustments to certain things to bring them more in line with their intended design.
We will be removing Swap Bodies from online play as it is the source of a lot of frustration and confusion. Also removing the extra height the player gets from 'Hat of Sure Walking’ to reduce confusion of where you’re standing. Those are just a few examples of the things we wanna look into. ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove Soundtrack 75% off ($1)!
yo! sup funky friends? Hope y’all have been having a great start to the new year. We are getting very close to the One Year Anniversary of the release of ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove! We hope we’ve been able to deliver a jammin’ experience that everyone was happy with in 2019.
The game has just been released in Japan and the reception so far has been great! The Japanese language option is patched into all versions of the game, so if you prefer to get your funk delivered in another language, download the recent patch and select your preferred language from the main menu. Along with enabling Japanese language the new update comes with some small fixes, a brand new hidden Easter Egg and an increased framerate for the PlayStation version! More on that in a bit.
We have a special announcement that we would like to share with y'all. Over the past 10 years co-creator of ToeJam & Earl, Greg Johnson, has been working on a new card game that he is finally ready to unveil to the world! Well.. it’s not really a “game”, but there are definitely cards involved, we can promise you that.
We’d like to introduce our two new homies that will essentially be the stars of this new project. We aren’t exactly sure what to name them yet. Do you have any ideas? Let us know what you think!
We are considering Kickstarting this new card game, so for more info please make sure you are receiving our future Kickstarter updates and be sure to follow us on any of our social media accounts where we will be revealing more information on Greg’s new card project in the future!

This update is now live on all versions of the game, except Xbox where we are still working on releasing the game in Japan. The Jam Out Easter Egg is only in the Steam version, and is just a small sample of what we wanna do with this feature. (Please feel free to give us feedback!) The framerate performance enhancement is live on the PlayStation 4 version of the game, we will try to bring these enhancements to the other console versions of the game in the future.

We are adding in the Twitch extension Crowd Control for our fans that enjoy streaming. This will allow viewers in the chat to donate bits to add effects to the streamer. Is the streamer doing really well and you wanna knock them off the level? Use the Drop Level effect, or donate to make the player fall in love from a Cupid arrow and watch as they walk themselves off the map!
With Crowd Control the viewers are in control of what they watch. When we have this ready we plan to do a few streams showcasing the feature. We were able to get Greg to stop Hula Dancing for a bit down in Hawaii and agree to show up to the stream as well. More info on when that will be soon!
