Version 2.19.0 - NEW EBISU WEST LAYOUT – HILLSIDE, GAME STABILITY UPDATE!
YO YO DRIFTERS! We’re whippin' out the tools and cable ties for Update 2.19.0 as we tackle some more game optimisation and performance issues that we have -very much heard- from you. Read on to find out what the team has been working on!
NEW EBISU WEST LAYOUT – HILLSIDE! Ebisu is getting the love it deserves this year, and we’re not stopping with another layout to the iconic map! Hillside boasts amazing elevation changes, and is the ideal track to tandem on due to the well timed deceleration zones (+ left foot braking opportunities)!
As there aren’t any outstanding new features or major bug fixes in this update (hear us out here!) – We’re getting into the nitty-gritties of addressing performance issues and crash rates that have been occurring.
There are a number of contributing factors to players' game stability being interfered with, one of which being hardware longevity. In 2.18.0, we introduced a graphics quality setting cap for lower end devices with the intention of allowing said players to still enjoy the game, but not at the expense of relaunching the game over and over again, which as a result… dramatically taints the gameplay experience.
The TD team have spent this update digging deeper into untouched corners of the game to implement more changes where possible to ultimately retune old systems, optimise the game better to cover a wider pool of devices, as well as making quality of life improvements to UI, game flow, and more!

Expect an event-exclusive track layout with thrilling challenges, and our store will be stocked with new Halloween-themed stickerpack bundles, neons, and alloys for the abandoned project car in the spooky garage!
[PC] INTRODUCING PHOTO MODE! We’re starting off with something long overdue for the virtuoso paintbrush holder – Photo Mode! Undeniably, Torque Drift houses some of the best livery artists that we’ve seen, some of which have been praised by FD Pro Drivers themselves. Whether you’re just starting to get familiar with the brushes, posting unhinged and chaotic liveries for us to laugh at on stream, flexing your newest bonnet artwork on #torquedriftliveries, whipping up THE NEXT FD-spec livery, or just having a bit of fun – Photo Mode will give you all the freedom to reimagine and capture your masterpiece with comprehensive camera settings!
This feature is only available on Steam/PC for now. We’re excited to continue the conversation with you all on adding more actual game-flow improvements and meaningful features, so any and ALL feedback for Photo Mode is appreciated!

Established veteran in the scene and a true motorsport icon, Chris Forsberg hits the 2022 Formula Drift tracks with his brand new Z34 Nissan Z 2023 (Custom Pro Edition) - A revamped livery design with his signature blue, orange and black palette and an incredible VR38DETT under the hood, this new addition will easily boast 1,300 HP and 1,700 NM of torque on the tracks, talk about a beast of a debut!
NEW EBISU DRIFT SCHOOL LAYOUT – CARPARK! SKRRRT SKRRRRT! It’s back to school with Ebisu opening up a highly anticipated new section of the map, CARPARK! CONTROLLER REMAPPING UI IMPROVEMENTS!
This has been on our radar for a while now, and we’re excited to finally present to you our controller remapping screen with a hot, NEW revamped design! This new design should feel more responsive, as well as relay controller information clearer and most importantly – tailored to the way YOU want to play. We’re also making more progress in improving gameplay on the Sim Rig, so stay tuned! As we improve the overall user experience in our upcoming updates, any and ALL feedback is highly encouraged.
