Christmas Update!
It's the most wonderful time of the year, and Torque Drift is here to party! We've totally refabbed our already brand new Hakone, with snow, Christmas trees, decorations and unique challenges. We've got daily chase challenges with player cars, and an entire Sponsor Tree dedicated to Christmas! There are some great spots to take some photos in the snow, so slap on some snow boots and shred that mountain!
New UI!
We know PC gamers have a totally different expectation to mobile players. When we moved from Mobile to PC, we started working on completely revamping the game and restructuring the entire User Interface and User Experience to get it where you all expect it to be. We're really proud to present the culmination of this work in this new UI, which involves a new paintshop, menus, navigation, battle screens, garage, reward screens....just about everything in TD really! We hope you enjoy this beautiful new navigation system, which makes it easier to check out parts, your account, and so, so much more.
New Pro Liveries: Chelsea Denofa and Vaughn Gitten Jr 2020
The RTR gets a facelift to celebrate their success this season. You can now drive Chelsea and Vaughn's 2020 liveries, just go to the paint shop and change them up!
Neo Samurai kits for the S13 and RX7!
We know you are keen for new bodykits, and this update we got TWO of the coolest looking kits in TD dropping. We've got a Van Halen inspired kit and a neo-oriental look to go with on the S13 and the RX7. Both are available with liveries, or paintable so you can design your own unique look!
New Tutorials!
We know drifting is tough, so we've tagged in our friend Mad Mike to help you out! Whether you're a new player or just someone looking to get back to basics, Mike will take you around Englishtown and show you donuts, clipping points and handbrake turns in this brand new tutorial!
New Car: 240Z
If you're an active Twitch Subscriber this month, you'll be receiving a Twitch crate with a brand new Nissan 240z this update! It's a beautiful classic car that's come in the iterations of the Datsun, S30 and Fairlady, and it's a MUST HAVE collector car to get sideways. Crate Overhaul!
We took a look at the crate system in TD, talked to some players, and decided to improve the drop rates, give out better prizes, add decals to the potential rewards. In case that wasn't enough, we added a brand new explosive animation to make opening crates feel like the present it is.
Oh, and we drastically reduced the drop rate of tires. YOU'RE WELCOME!
Wheel Support and Telemetry!
Wheel mapping and force feedback improvements on PC! (You can now hook up any combination of wheels/handbrakes etc! Inc Fanatec and Thrustmaster gear). We've also added telemetry output to support Motion Simulator platforms using SimRacingStudio, so we're now one of the only fully wheel supported drift games going around! We're always talking to professional drifters when it comes to fine-tuning this, so keep an eye out on constant improvements as we take drift to wheel!
New Audio: Ambiences
We've totally rebuilt the world of Torque Drift this update with brand new ambience on every track. You can drive past megaphones to hear commentary, the leaves rustling on the trees and the scaffolding creak in the wind on longbeach. The world is alive, so drive around and check it out!

We're letting Update 1.9.0 out into the wild! Enjoy a refresh for an old favourite, a bunch of new body kits, some new music + a MUSTANG FULL of fixes for references, exceptions, crashes and performance!
Hakone Remastered
We've taken Hakone to the garage and given it a full facelift. You'll find new Hidden Paths, your old favourite layouts and new records to be made on Tunnel Edge. We've added details like pagodas, mountains and more in this beautiful rendition of the mountain track we know and love!
New Pro Livery: George K 2020
We've added George K's SMOKING black 2020 competition livery to the livery options in Torque Drift. If you haven't got George K yet, we can bet you'll want him with this sweet new livery upgrade! Tag him on social media and you're sure to get some fire emojis and a whole lot of love for reppin' our man George!
Bdice "Aesthetic" Album Launch
With Bdice dropping his third album, we're stoked to be able to do our own launch party in Torque Drift! It'll now be in the Garage and the Paintshop, with his beats and tunes to get you into the vibe of building your dream drift missile. To celebrate his new album "Aesthetic", we've got a Sponsor Tree Challenge with a bunch of challenges and some superchargers to win sweet decals, so get drifting and show him some love! Alright already! We heard you! We've had this body kit in the works since the induction of the RX3 into the game, and we're proud to announce it's finally here! Dust off that old classic in your garage, and give it new life with this THICC kit!
New Bodykit: RX8
Another fan favourite, you've been asking, and we've been able to add in the RX8 body kit this update as well! No longer will your RX8 be a stock-boi. Get wide and get beefy with this new body kit.

New Features: Photoshoots and Lookback
We've made sure the lookback feature is an option instead of on by default, so if you're tapping away and messing up your flow, go into the menu and flick off the look back function in the controls settings. When you're in open lobbies, your car will now auto handbrake in drone made, to keep your wheels on the track to help you take that new favourite photo of yours!

Want to talk to some of your new drift friends? We've added Voice chat to open lobbies! Turn on the microphone option in the creation menu, and make some friends! You'll be able to set up your microphone options in the menu, mute or unmute players on your end, and chat to drifters from all over the world!Feature: Custom Tournaments!
Tournaments are back! You can now create public or private tournaments to battle up to 64 drifters to see who's the king of the track! Progress through rounds of drift battles, hold drift tournaments with your crew or open it up to see who can take it to the top!Feature: Duck Tail Spoilers!
Duck tails! We've added two new ducktail spoilers, with the option to use them on the Mustang and the 180sx. A big fan favourite that we'd love to see more of on the track!

Update 1.8.8 is now live! We’ve rebuilt our tutorial for new players, added a horn button, a flying drone, and more!
Feature: New FTUE for driving, first event, and garage.
We've added a new Tutorial to teach players how to get sideways in Torque Drift. We realise it's tricky to learn all of the driving elements that drifting requires, so we've sought out the help of accomplished drifting legends Mad Mike Whiddett, and Daijiro Yoshihara to show you around! They'll take you through the new tutorial and show you how it's done!
Feature: Lobby spectator cam now shows a drone flying around for other players!
Try out the new free-roam camera in open lobbies! Your car's collisions will turn off, enabling you to float around without causing trouble on the track! On top of this, you'll appear as a wicked FPV racing drone just like the ones you'll see on Formula Drift tracks.
Feature: Chase chase car in practice.
Always wanted to test one of your cars against another? You can now change your chase car during practice events! Simply complete a lead run with one car, then flip it out and chase it with a totally different car. You'll finally be able to work out the best car in your garage. Plus, think of the great photos!
Feature: Horn button
Wanted to signal to other drivers in open lobbies? Chirp them on the start line? We heard your recommendation and added a good ol' fashioned HONK to Torque Drift.

NEW TRACK: ORLANDO
We’ve added Orlando to Torque Drift! While the track was cancelled for this year’s Formula Drift Championship, it’s an incredibly iconic track with the mixture of concrete and tarmac making up a clean figure 8. We’ve also added the entire car park area with some tight turns and plenty of spots for crew photoshoots in Open Lobbies!

HIGH RESOLUTION TRACK REMASTER : EBISU DRIFT SCHOOL
A true fan favourite, we've totally remastered Ebisu Drift School! We've added an entire upper section that you can drive, a massive drag pad, some beautiful scenic views and some quality of life improvements along with track resizing to more closely mirror the real life Ebisu Drift School.
HD INTERIORS
We’ve totally rebuilt the interior for the BMW E30 Interior from the group up for PC. This new High Resolution Texture is totally gorgeous for those of you that love the Interior camera angles!
