This update is heavy on optimizations and bug fixes with a focus on the Plaza! We've fixed over a hundred Plaza related bugs in this update!
New Holiday Items!
Holiday 2024 Items are here! These include new placeable items, pets, and weapons. They also include a variety of new holiday profile backgrounds.
New Casino Exterior & Entrance
The Casino Exterior and Entrance have gotten some love this update! The entrance has been updated to add a new social area to the Plaza, and make the Casino interior and exterior more consistent with one another.
We’ve also added a fountain area around the back exterior of the Casino which will add yet another area for hanging out in the Plaza, and improve the overall appearance of the Plaza.
With these changes, the Casino has also been greatly optimized.
Boardwalk Ice Cream Shop Now Open!
As part of our continued work to finish under construction sections of Plaza, the ice cream shop on the boardwalk is now open!
This is another cozy area for players to hang out and buy items without entering the Arcade.
New Fishing Peninsula!
The Fishing Peninsula art pass is included in this update! This brings the Peninsula up to the quality of the rest of the Plaza.
Vroomspeed Is Now Open!
Vroomspeed is open! You can now buy stationary vehicles. There are currently two types of vehicles - Stationary (open the doors and sit inside) & Props (static for decoration). The sedan item has been moved to Vroomspeed from Rob’s Imports.

Hey everyone,
The 2024-25 Winter Condo Contest has started!
As usual, we’re doing a Winter / Festivity theme.
So, your build should be either: winter-related, themed after winter holidays / holiday activities (including New Years), or generally wintry and festive!
The submission period ends on January 22nd, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
We're hard at work and very close to completion on our next update, which we're aiming for release this week.
The upcoming Plaza update is heavy on optimizations, bug fixes, and new additions! We’ve fixed over a hundred Plaza related bugs in this update!
It'll also bring with it new Holiday items, and a bunch of highly requested items.

Miscellany
Johanna worked on wrapping up the changes to the Plaza for the next update.
Lifeless spent some time working on Accelerate, specifically with issues with rubber-banding when boosting. He also worked on separating the tracks, making them individual maps instead of one map with two different tracks.
macdguy worked on bug fixes and Plaza changes for the next update. He also setup the Vroomspeed store, and worked on leaderboards, achievements, audio passes, and special Minigolf hazards for the Minigolf map, Dino Drive.
Nuclearxpotato worked on implementing food items for Cooking. He also continued working on the backlog of requested furinture items, this week working on Vintage Filing Cabinets, a Utility Cabinet, some Booth Sectional pieces, a Wood Four-post Bed, and a Brass Frame Bed.
Sketchman continued working on optimizations and fixes for the next update, specifically focusing on optimizations with the Lobby Scoreboard, a reduction in hard references (which should help with loading times), and more.

While the events have just started, we're still currently in the middle of a major Plaza update which we're working to get out very soon. The next Plaza update will have new Winter items and should be out within the next week or two.
As we've been saying, we've been working hard on bug fixes, which this new Plaza update addresses. This is all a part of the Road to 1.0.

Both "Basic" machines have the option to add coin slots. The commercial dryer has an option to make it an "upper" machine for stacking.
All machines have spinning drums that can be enabled.

Miscellany
Last week some of our staff was impacted by a bomb cyclone storm that hit Washington state. During the week, development was put on hold for those staff due to long power outages and Internet outages.
Everyone is okay and power and Internet was just restored early this week. We also had some other staff members out of work for the week due to other real-life incidents.
After our Thanksgiving break, we will be back to normal development.
This week will also be a shorter development week as we have our Thanksgiving break.
Johanna worked on the Plaza changes for the next major Plaza update that focuses on bug fixes and optimizations, along with working on the Ice Cream store for the boardwalk as part of the road to 1.0.
Joshua continued working on the new player models, focusing on outfits.
macdguy was impacted by the bomb cyclone storm and was out of power for the majority of the week, but also worked on finalizing the boardwalk shooting gallery and major bug fixes.
Nuclearxpotato continued working on the Minigolf map, Dino Drive.
Sketchman was impacted by the storm and was unable to work most of the week, but has been working on bug fixes for the rich presence feature for an upcoming hot fix.
Wheezwer worked on player profile backgrounds for Christmas, the holiday winter contests, and December calendar, along with organizing through reported bug fixes.

PLAZA FIXES
We’ve tackled bugs and made gameplay tweaks in the Plaza.
These include fixes to Arcade, Casino, Fishing, Minigames, Dark Voyage, and more!
The fishing ponds should now be functional (excluding the peninsula), and there have been fixes to general gameplay as well.
In the Casino, fixes were made to Aces and they are now calculated properly as high or low in all card games, soft locks were fixed, bingo cards no longer display on the wrong screens, and Silver Saddles now properly returns your bet if you win.
In the Arcade, Coin River, Dragon’s Treasure, Coloracle, Cow Wheel, and Balloon Pop have all had major fixes, as well as fixes to LODs.
In Dark Voyage, player guns no longer block your view, allowing you to enjoy the game without your friends getting in the way.
Other fixes are detailed in the changelog below!
GAME WORLD FIXES
This update includes many fixes for collision issues and spawn points in Virus: Subway.
Ball Race, Zombie Massacre, SDNL, and Virus all had fixes to visual issues, gameplay, and collision, respectively.
There were also fixes and improvements for Sub-Objectives in Zombie Massacre, and SDNL grav glove prediction improvements.
CONDO FIXES
Several fixes have been made for item collision desyncs, visual issues, and other minor map issues in Highrise, Underwater, and Resort Condos! Also, hiding items now saves!
Further changes are detailed below! Again, we greatly appreciate any feedback in our feedback survey, forums, or other comments!
PLAZA FIXES COMING NEXT
We are hard at work on the major Plaza changes which will include the new Casino entrance & outside area, new fishing peninsula, and various fixes and optimizations.

Virus: All weapons now automatically reload when their clip is empty (if they have ammo)
You can now rotate your camera (without rotating yourself) while on the broom stick after pressing right click
Player Profiles: Made friends only status a lot more noticeable. Removed the underline effect and added an icon

Joshua has been working hard our new player models, getting them rigged and adjusting offsets for the cosmetic items.

Miscellany
Johanna continued working on finishing optimizations and art for the Plaza.
macdguy continued going through long standing bugs in preparation for the 1.0 release. He fixed bugs in SDNL, Minigolf, Bingo, Trivia, the Arcade games in the boardwalk, as well as issues with the first person camera. He also worked on the Shooting Gallery in the Arcade, added a exterior to the Virus map, Hospital, and centered the VR Camera.
Nuclearxpotato continued working on the Minigolf map, Dino Drive, working on polish and lighting.
Sketchman worked on optimizations and fixing bugs in preparation for the 1.0 release.
Wheezwer worked with Makeship and wrote the changelog for the next update.
