After to listening to community feedback we have made a number of changes to improve the game as well as make it more accessible.
Changelog:
-There is now a tutorial to teach new players basic mechanics.
-After careful consideration, an "Easy" mode has been implemented where you are allowed to buy/carry 2 revive potions from the witch (instead of just 1), and the cost has been halved on revive potions. The normal difficulty remains untouched. You can choose the difficulty on the title screen. This was added because we realize that not everyone has enough skill to play the game on normal difficulty, and we want non-elite players to reach the later areas of the game. This is not the developer intended difficulty, but it is now an option for people who feel that they need the game to be a bit easier.
-360 d-pad now works properly
-New fullscreen options: aspect and stretch
In fullscreen mode, instead of the game window only being in the center of the screen, you can now choose to stretch the window to fill as much screen as possible, and choose whenther it maintains aspect ratio or not when stretching. With aspect mode, it will have black bars on the side but fill the screen vertically.
-Added 2 new advanced control options: invert run, and auto-cling:
Auto Cling:
You now cling to walls by simply holding left/right against them (instead of sliding down and having to hold jump to cling). Also, going from holding a diagonal to simply straight up or down (while climbing) allows you to keep climbing instead of releasing the wall.
Invert Run:
Inverts the run button. Simple. You can run and hold items without constanly holding down the button.
-Many bug fixes
-Slight balance changes to improve gameplay
-1 new item added
-Crafter prices reduced, and he is now reusable for a fee of 1 berry.
-You can now import a custom list of names
We're glad everyone has been enjoying TowerClimb so far!
