Tracks: The Train Set Game

Tracks Releases in Early Access

Hello everyone!

Tracks is now available to buy in Early Access. We'd like to thank everyone who played the game during its humble beginnings on Itch.io when it started as an entry into a game jam.

This is our first stop on our journey in development and we hope that many of you will hop aboard and provide us with feedback, suggestions and even share your crazy tracks!

Over the next few weeks we will be working hard on implementing new features and polishing what we already have. One of the fun tools we're working on at the moment is the booster, it assists in increasing the speed of your train, but in the hands of maniacs it can propel the train at ludicrous speeds. Check out the gif below

If you spot any issues, or have any suggestions do let us know in the forums. We hope you all have fun and we appreciate all of your support in helping us make this game!

Patch - 25th September 2017

  • Improved the socket system so they are now only available on endings which can potentially be used to create new pieces
  • Up/Down now takes priority over Left/Right to make them easier to place
  • Trying to place down an invalid red piece now just plays a sound instead of clearing your selection
  • Some adjustments and additions to tooltips
  • Fixed an issue with joining pieces where the train could derail if you turned unnecessarily
  • Fixed an issue where a small piece of furniture clipping through the track could potentially cause the train to miss the next turn
  • Added a screen element to make it clearer when you already have a piece of track selected off screen
  • New stage to the passenger mode

Patch Summary: 10th - 19th September

Tracks Steam Page Is Live

Hello everyone,

The Steam page for Tracks is now live! This is exciting because we are a step closer to the games release. The game has been in development for a several months and if you want to keep up to date with the games development progress, make sure to add it to your wishlist.

Don't know how to do that? watch this Gif :D

Jacksepticeye, Nerdcubed, BaronVonLetsPlay and more have played a several month old build of tracks. The latest internal build has changed so much and we're looking forward to seeing what new players will think of the game as it continues to develop.

We've also had a lovely article by Destructoid, some of the comments and thoughts from the writer and community we're looking into. Maybe one day we'll see Thomas the Tank Engine available inside Tracks, but we shall see ;)

What we're looking to do over the next few months is add to the game by introducing some new mechanics and objects. If you have any suggestions to help us, get involved by joining the discussions forum. Share your thoughts, ideas, what you want to see and we'll do our best to get back to you.

We hope many of you will join us as we continue to develop Tracks - The Train Set Game.
