High Seas Challenge

Hi builder!

We challenged 4 content creators to an epic High Seas 2 vs 2 competition. And well... you need to watch it!

Here is how it works: one team is tasked with defending the blue collection point on Tiki Island. The second team has to deliver as many blue artifacts as they can in 10 minutes. Scrapman and Kosmo vs Moonbo and Polman, weapons allowed, defenders vs attackers, let's see who won 😎









We had such a great time organizing and watching this event, hope you enjoyed it too!

Mirror Mode Patch 1.4.3

- Added new Main Menu Background Video.
- Added In Game Pop up when starting the game after installing new DLC.
- Improved how sparks are rendered when viewed from below water.
- Fixed a bug with toggling Auto Focus in the Builder also toggling Hide Controls.
- Fixed a softlock when using a Controller and configuring the Parrot Block.
- Memory Usage optimisations
- Improved text consistency across different languages in the Builder.

Mirror Mode Patch 1.4.2

We’ve been hard at work improving the mirror mode (among other things), and adding new blocks to the game!

Mirror Mode changes
Changed the Mirror Mode panel texture to improve visibility
Lots of changes & improvements to Mirror Mode

New blocks in the base game:

  • Flask
  • Bottle.
  • Mug
  • Sconce


New blocks for High Seas (DLC Purchase required):

  • New “Old Cannon”. This thing packs a serious punch! It doesn’t work underwater, and projectiles explode on water impact.
  • Ship bell. Ding ding.
  • Ship’s Lantern, for lighting up your ship on those dark nights out at sea.

Mirror Mode Hotfix 2

Hey Trailmakers!

We just pushed a new hotfix live to fix a few more issues that were present in the last build, and for the Modders out there, we have included a large batch of the assets used in the High Seas world for you to use in your Mods! We look forward to see what you'll create with them!

Added
- Added assets used in the High Seas world to the modding spawnables list.

Fixed
- Fixed an Oh No that would occur if deleting a block that left Mirror Mode in an unconnected state.
- More Mirror Mode (Beta) Improvements.
- Fixed Undo incorrectly taking you out of Mirror Mode.
- Fixed LOD popping on numerous objects across various worlds.
- Grass in non-High Seas Worlds should move again.
- Template vehicles should correctly align with build direction in High Seas.
- Minor terrain fixes in High Seas.

  • Fixed “Undo” incorrectly taking you out of Mirror Mode.
  • Fixed Level Of Detail Popping on numerous objects across various worlds.
  • Fixed an issue with grass in non-High Seas Worlds not moving correctly.
  • A fix where template vehicles were aligning incorrectly with build direction in High Seas.
  • Minor terrain fixes in High Seas.

Mirror Mode Hotfix 1

Hey Trailmakers!

We just pushed a small hotfix out for the Mirror Mode update with a couple of fixes for some pressing issues.

- Fixed the trees that were not correctly being rendered in Stranded in Space when using Jobified Rendering.
- Fixed a bug with Mirror Mode that caused blocks in the Mirror Plane being duplicated to mirror incorrectly.

We have a slightly larger hotfix coming later in the week to fix some more known issues, but we want to spend a bit more time getting these fixes ready first! Thanks to everyone for playing the Mirror Mode update, and those of you who have dived into the High Seas Expansion!

Mirror Mode Update

Mirror Mode Update is live now!

We have finally heard you, a Mirror Mode inside our builder tool to make things easier and faster to build. We've been working hard on getting this feature ready for you, which means we are releasing it as a Beta at first.

To make sure we can improve it and make it as seamless as possible, we would very much appreciate your bug reports or opinions stated in the Trailmakers Discord.

Other things included in the update: improved drag model, additional modding assets and a new faster jobified render pipeline.

Interested in even more Trailmakers? Along side this update, we're releasing the brand new High Seas Expansion with a complete new world to discover, new blocks, new character accessories, weather, waves, wind and more!

Brave the storm and dive into a new Trailmakers sandbox experience introducing a completely revamped physics-based system for Weather, Wind and Waves.
