Dressed in yellow, gray, and silver, the LIRR M3 has become a railroading classic. Experience the challenges of operating the memorable EMU.
LIRR’s M3 cars stretch 85-feet in length and are constructed of stainless steel. The cars operate on D. C. current from LIRR’s third-rail system and are powered by four 160-horsepower traction motors riding in General Steel GSI trucks. The versatile EMUs, built in two-car “married pairs,” operate at speeds up to 80 mph (129 km/h) on the LIRR.
You’ll soon have the opportunity to take the controls of a “Big Apple” railroading classic – with the Long Island Rail Road’s M3 electric-multiple-unit “EMUs” for Train Sim World!
The upcoming TSW LIRR M3 is a superb re-creation of the distinctive Budd-built electrics and will feature exacting details, fully interactive and realistic controls, and true-to-life performance. And you’ll have the opportunity to put the electrics through their paces hauling Big Apple commuters in a variety of interesting scenarios and timetabled services!

Making a third party debut, Rivet Games will introduce German diesel traction for the first time in Train Sim World, unlocking additional freight operations on Main-Spessart Bahn and allowing access to areas such as Aschaffenburg Docks and industries at Lohr. The locomotive in question is the striking DB BR 204.
Access all areas! The advent of diesel traction for Main-Spessart Bahn means once-off limit areas are now able to be explored by train, including the Aschaffenburg Docks area (above) and the industrial spur at Lohr (below).
The cab of the DB BR 204 is most unique, featuring classic controls in a dual-cab configuration, allowing for easy bi-directional running in yards and sidings.

Caltrain MP15DC Diesel Switcher | Out Now
Climb aboard for challenging switching, maintenance-of-way, and train rescue operations with the Train Sim World Caltrain Electro-Motive MP15DC diesel locomotive for the Peninsula Corridor: San Francisco – San Jose route - out now on Steam!
The Rhein-Ruhr Main Line is traffic-heavy and diverse in operations, and soon it will be your job to carry passengers along this route between Duisburg and Bochum, across both routes that diverge at Essen.
To carry out your duties, you will have 2 modern multiple units at your disposal. The recognisable DB BR 425 makes its Train Sim World debut with assistance from Maik Goltz - complete with audio assistance from Linus Follert - which will be accompanied by the DB BR 422. Together, the units carry out Regional Express and S-Bahn services across the route, with their excellent performance allowing you to perfect the craft of keeping to the timetable while providing a safe and comfortable ride for your passengers.
