Trash Quest

Modifiers Update (Patch 1.5)

Modifiers

Spice up a playthrough with an assortment of game modifications.
Modifications can only be changed on a fresh save file, and will lock in once the player has left the start room.

New Game Plus

Start the game with all the base game abilities unlocked.
The first three bosses can be fought in any order before accessing the trash zone.
Does not unlock any upgrades.

Random Enemies

Enemies will be replaced by another random enemy.
Enemy population will change each time you revisit a room.

Immortal Enemies

Enemies cannot die.
They will still be stunned by damage.

Broken Doors

Door panels no longer function, and will not open doors.

Trash Collector

Each enemy must be destroyed before the final boss can be attempted.
Enemies will respawn after being killed, but will not change the counter if destroyed again.

Notes

Any modifiers will disable leaderboards.
New Game Plus will disable achievements.
All modifiers are intended for use in the base game, however some will continue to be active when travelling to the Salvation.
Immortal Enemies and Trash Collector can be active at the same time, the enemy will count towards the total once it has been dealt the amount of damage that would normally destroy it.

Tweaks

A black background has been added to the menu to improve visibility.

High clarity explosion visuals can be selected from the menu.

Bullets can now be fired with the right trigger, as well as the bumper.

Mild clarity improvements for leaderboards.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug that allowed the player to clip into the edge of narrow ground segments.

Covered up a few remaining visible seems between zones.

Prevent menu indicator colour disappearing when selecting a non-selectable menu item.

Salvation Update (Patch 1.4)

Once you've explored all there is to explore on the space station Deliverance, why not zip over to its sister ship The Salvation.

The Salvation update includes:
- A whole new space ship to explore.
- Two new abilities
- Three new bosses
- Three extra upgrades
- A boss rush
- A hard mode version of all new and existing bosses

The Salvation update is available for no extra charge for existing owners of Trash Quest. I will probably be increasing the price of the base game by a dollar or two to account for the extra content, but I'll give people a little bit of a grace period to get it at the current price.

Patch 1.3

Heyo, I've got stats and achievements for ya.

Stats:

Added a bunch of stats, replaces the speedrun timer menu option. Each stat can be toggled on or off independently.

Achievements:

With the revamp to the stats, a number of new achievements are possible. New achievements are for low grounded time, low energy usage, low damage taken, as well as a speedrun achievement with a shorter time requirement and an achievement that combines pacifist and hitless.

Fixes/Tweaks:

Fixed a number issue with the position resets.
Added a slightly wider spotlight mode.
Added jump input buffering during room transitions.
Tiny increase in spike jump window.

Thanks as always,
Frank

Patch 1.2.1

1.2 is dead. Long live 1.2.

Some more changes, but most of it is parallel to the changes in 1.2 so this one is just a minor version number bump. Has the changes that probably should have been in 1.2.
(dot points at bottom)

Speedrun changes:

100% completion no longer counts doors. This affects the 100% achievement and leaderboard. The requirements as of this patch for 100% is all 4 bosses and all 14 trinkets (5 abilities, 9 upgrades).
Practice mode now will save your health state when setting a quick spawn point, and if you want to alter your health you can do that by holding H while pressing a number key.

QoL Changes:

Slightly altered the draw order of the map so the player icon will be above all other icons other than those informing you you don't have the required ability.
Press ESC (or whatever button you use to bring up the menu) to skip the intro scene.
Press Numpad Plus to fullscreen. (should work during intro scene)

As always, I'd love to hear any feedback you have. I'm watching the forums here and the discord server http://discord.gg/SyEKQmT
Why not join and see the wild ways these rascals are breaking my game for the sake of a few seconds.

Peace,
Frank
