Why have a free game, but a paid dlc? Let me explain you:
We didn't want to simply ask for donations or do patreon etc. For one thing, it doesn't feel right to us, just to ask for funding and wouldn't be able to give anything back right now. Quite simply, we don't have anything big to show about our next project yet. Second, laws in Finland kind of goes against asking for crowd funding or donations. You'd have to sell something to be able to make something out of it, so here we are.
Traum the game will stay free, but if you want to support our work, this is a great way to do so! All of your contributions goes toward funding our next projects! This not only motivates us to do more, but also it speeds up the development process as we could focus on it more. We all have jobs or projects and other life stuff to manage, so time is limited to spend on this.
I'd also like to say that we will no longer make games with RPG Maker. The limitations of that engine are too great for what we want to create. We have invested in Game Maker Studio 2, which gives us so much more flexibility and freedom to really create something that we think you would enjoy. In the future we will have games that look like us. No longer we will be seen as just another RPG Maker developer. Our two artists will be able to truly express themselves and develop an artstyle that suits our image! Our composer can create music that lights the world alive! Our writer will no longer be chained to write stories having to keep the engine limitations in mind!
We have grand plans for the future, and we will keep making story heavy games for all of you to immerse yourselves in!

Updated peephole scene!
We got some reports about the game freezing in one point of the game. I went out of my way to remake the scene from scratch and tried to optimize it as best as I could. Hopefully everyone can get through that situation now without problems. If you still experience freezing or crashing in any place in the game, please report it to us so we can do our best in fixing such bugs.

Achievements!
Traum now has achievements! Some of you may have noticed that there was one achievement visible for a brief amount of time but it was not achievable at the time. That was just there for me to test that the system works correctly. Now we have added several more achievements, some of which may be more hard to find than the others! Happy hunting!
We are amazed by the amount of positive feedback for our game! Not only we have very positive reviews on steam, but also there are over 100 different youtubers who have made videos about Traum! Not only that but there has also been several twitch streamers who have played our game, and we have been contacted for a few podcasts about Indie games too! Traum was also included in Gamespot's "Best New Steam Games" video which is pretty darn amazing!
Team Ruskatuli is grateful for everyone who has played Traum and spread the word. All the kind words we have gotten makes our day! Thank you for for everything <3
Traum updated again!
Now this one went through with a little fail from me (Sky), I forgot a save folder inside the content folder of Traum and one of our team had their saves missing. I fixed my mistake instantly but I don't know if that was the reason for the missing saves or not. Another person who updated the game didn't have their saves missing.
We are very sorry if that has happened to someone. If your save games are missing, and don't want to play through the game again, please contact us through ruskatuli@gmail.com with details about where you were in the game so that I can personally provide you with a save game near your last save.
Now onto the changelog:
- Recreated the scene where some people still reported crashing.
- Added a plugin to enhance performance for pc.
- Updated some plugins to their newest versions
- Updated the base script to newer version
- Fixed some minor grammar errors.
I think I forgot to say this in the last patch note:
- Optimized the size of every png file in the game. Yay for smaller game size!
We've gotten a lot of positive feedback on here and other places, and team Ruskatuli is very happy to see that our game is liked and we want to thank you all for playing our game! We are currently working on another project, but it will be a lot larger game than Traum so it won't be coming out anytime soon. Just to let you know that there will be more from us in the future ;)

Traum Updated
The amount of positive feedback we've gotten from people is very nice, thank you all for playing our game!
We updated Traum today, and through some technical difficulties, the update is live.
- Added autosave plugin
- Optimized a scene near the end to avoid reported crashing
- The game clears the image cache near the end to avoid crashing because of the huge amount of images loaded.
Hopefully everything works better now. If you still encounter crashes, please let us know so we can work on fixing it.
