Treeker: The Lost Glasses

Small Fixes and Plans for the Future

Fixed some minor bugs. If you find any bugs or issues, you can report on this thread.

First, I'd like to thank everyone who played the game and for all the feedback. I released this game back in 2015, and at the end of the last year, I finished a complete rework for the original game. This remake, which is now live, changed basically everything, from graphics to gameplay.

You may be wondering why I updated the old version with a complete new game instead of releasing as a separate game after all this time. First of all, while it looks like a complete new game, many ideas and concepts are still present in the remake. I updated the game while keeping what I could from the original version.

I made this game by myself as an individual, and while I was satisfied with the results under the limitations I had at the time, the old version had many design flaws, lack of content and some clunky mechanics. Before moving on to my next project, I decided to update the old game to offer a better product overall for current and future players of the game. Of course, it's still a limited game compared to other games developed by bigger and more experience studios, but now I'm satisfied to focus on other stuff.

For the time being, the old version of the game is not available anymore. At some point I want to bring it back and make it available again as additional content, so players could play both versions. However, I'm already working on new projects, so it could take some time. The old version has some bugs and things I'd like to address, and I'm not comfortable making it available again without correcting those issues.

And finally, I learned a lot while working on both versions of this game. For my next project, I intend to add more features like achievements, and I may even test some achievements implementation for this game. But it's not really a priority, and like the old version, it's something that may happen.

Rework update coming soon

Hello everyone!

Treeker: The Lost Glasses was released in 2015 and it's been a long time since any news or updates. I'm now working on a complete rework to the game and I'd like to share a few images.

The update will be available when it's ready (no expected date yet), and players who already own the game will receive the update normally on Steam. The current version of the game will be replaced and will no longer exist.

Game Update - Shard of the Lens

A new game level is now available to play. To access this game mode, you must complete the game at least once.

Treeker Update 1.4 - Patch Notes

- A few changes have been made to the lighthouse puzzle, in order to offer better feedback to the player;

- Minor corrections related to some colliders of the game;

- Corrected wrong characters and words in some texts;

- Minor interface update.

Treeker Update 1.3 - Patch Notes

- Engine update. To better support future game updates, the engine version is now updated. Minor interface changes may be noticed;

- Skybox textures have been improved. Fog colors and lightning elements have been slightly changed on some areas of the game.

If you have any issue running the game, try erasing local content and downloading the game again.

Treeker Update 1.2 - Patch Notes

Treeker is updated to version 1.2, with the following changes:

- The game now has a dialog box on launch. You can configure Screen Resolution, V-sync On and Off quality options, and change Key Inputs;

- The game is now compatible and configured for Xbox 360 controller. The game may accept other controller options as well, but it's not guaranteed. It's recommended activating V-Sync if you have high framerate, to prevent the camera from having unexpected behavior when using a controller;

- Invert Camera Y-Axis and option to disable Motion Blur are now available on Settings option in-game, which can be accessed from main menu;

- The puzzle of the transparent bridge in the last island has been remade. Previously players could solve the puzzle unexpectedly due to a code failure, even without understanding entirely the puzzle;

- New content coming soon to Treeker. Treeker: Shard of the Lens will be a new game mode, free of charge for all Treeker: The Lost Glasses players. Now when you complete the game, this mode will be unlocked, and will be available to play immediately when it's released. More details soon.

Notice that currently, controllers will only work on gameplay, and not on menus. Also, the interface in-game will show default key inputs.

Thanks for the feedback.

Coming Soon Settings Updates

The following updates are planned for the next few days:

- Xbox 360 controller support;
- Key-Bind option;
- Invert Camera Y-Axis option;
- V-Sync option;
- Option to disable Motion Blur;

Thanks for the feedback. The game will be updated when everything is working properly.
