Tribal Pass

TRICK OR MEAT!

Only this festive week, celebrating All Hallows' Eve (and the annual world-wide october madness), The Tribe gets a new run mode – ALL HALLOWS' RUN!

These jolly runs take place at NIGHT ONLY, – and thus are more interesting and more difficult.
Also, All Hallows' Run gets it's own SEPARATE LEADERBOARD, which is not-all-that-easy to champion!

So, fearless tribe leaders, put your masks and costumes on, grab your spears and little baskets, and run from deer to deer, from bonfire to bonfire, and greet everyone you meet with a traditional, a festive, a primevally frolicsome "TRICK OR MEAT?!"

RELEASE

The Tribe is out, Ladies and Gentlemen!

Mac and Linux support!

Hi there! That's all for today, actually - we just added Mac and Linux support in the Tribe. If you are expecting some troubles - please write about it in the community so we could fix it.

Pre-release update

Hey Tribe! Today we have our pre-release update, and there are changes you can find in it:
* 3 new achievements;
* First level on the map is easier now, so you can earn tokens and learn encounters on it;
* some encounters generation changes;
* Levels description on map;
* Behavior of desert rabbit is slightly changed, and some bugs about desert birds are fixed;
* Other bugfix all over the game;
That's all for today, have a good run!

Pre-release announcement

Hey guys and girls. Today we should announce something that you are probably not going to like. A lot of stuff happens after The Tribe came out into the Steam Early Access, and now as a team we have a difficult situation. We can't afford a development of the Tribe, so we have to choose between staying in EA forever without progress and releasing our game as it is with some polishing and bugfix, and we chose the second option. We failed at delivering all features we wanted to deliver, so the best we can do now - release a solid game from what we have. So in a few days there will be a full release for The Tribe without any major features being added, just some balancing and bugfix is expected. We apologize to everyone who expected The Tribe bigger and content-rich game, however the only way for us to survive as a team is releasing it as a small arcade runner. Sorry again, believe us, it was a hard decision, and no one of us is happy about it. Thank you for being with us!

Update 13.08

Hey folks!
In this update the next stuff happens:
* New usage of tokens - you can hunt between the level, bring more people to the tribe or even restart the level without losing progress when your tribe is dead;
* You can play single runs whenever you want now - even between the runs in the Big Pass. Handy if you want to make a high score;
* You can play next Big Pass right after you finished previous - no need to play single run again;
* For experienced players - now the shaman goes in the group which is closest to your mouse click position;
* More useful tips while level loading;
That's all for today, stay tuned and have a good run!

Leaderboards in, Quests out!

Hey folks! This update changes our game in many ways:
* Two types of Leaderboards;
* There are no more quests (seems like no one will sorry about that);
* Texts were changed all over the game (tutorial, briefings, tips on loading screen etc.);
* Unity graphics dialog added before the game launches (we received requests about second monitors and window mode, and for now this is the fastest option for that stuff)
* Small balance improvements;

We are working on other changes now, so stay tuned and have a good run!

Leaderboard is coming

Hey Tribe! We are still working on our next big update and here is one of the main features:

Simplifying texts, interfaces and screens

Hey Tribe! We have no updates for today, but we can share something Work-In-Progress:

We noticed that almost no one reads the texts of the Night passing screen, so we are making the night decision easier. Also looks like we should abandon quests at all. It is hard to say it, but perhaps we should focus on core gameplay and encounters rather than text events which are hard to make and not interesting for a large part of our players. Update with all this stuff should come in a few days, stay tuned and have a good run!
