Balance key removed as prerequisite from MixedMysteries -- it does not actually involve the balance mechanic.
Fixed break action enablement bug which could result in "breaker on a stick".
Altered level MentalMash / CloneBuilder to remove unintended trivial solution
Introduced "preferred map order" on load map dialog. This means the game will order incomplete standard maps according to a logical play order in the dialog, hopefully giving a smoother difficulty experience.

New map approved: Flatlands by hexatronic
Steam user hexatronic has created a new custom map, which has now been approved by the Tricone Lab Online adminstrators. It has 4 levels, and uses only the Breaker and Transporter mechanics. So, once you have got those 2 keys, you can download and play this map.
Danjuro has created a cunning new custom map which, as well as having the most outrageous pun-based level names, manages to make use of all the major game mechanics. There are some proper head-scratchers in there! Once you get all 8 basic keys, download PhilosOffer and have a go!
Community-authored maps may now be downloaded from the main screen without any server login required.
Auto-synthesize option, accessed from new 'controls' dialog: when enabled, catalysts synthesize their compound without requiring a double-click.
Unapproved / submitted maps can optionally be set to "hidden" which means they may only be downloaded if the player knows the map name.
Certain 'quit' buttons, and other buttons renamed / reorganised
Some keystrokes rationalised
0.18-beta released
Release notes
Overall this release is intended to improve the difficulty curve experience for the player.
Key/achievement set expanded from 8 to 21. Each of the new 13 keys/achievements is awarded for completing an advanced map.
Difficulty scores (1-5) updated on all standard levels based on observed median play times. Results:
difficulty 5: 3 levels
difficulty 4: 6 levels
difficulty 3: 13 levels
difficulty 2: 30 levels
difficulty 1: 48 levels
Advanced maps re-arranged so that only easier levels are unlocked initially. These lead to the harder levels on the map and finally to the new key/achievement.
Major update to node descriptions. The new node description dialog shows the official full name of the node (e.g. "mobility-2 tri-replicator"), a graphic for the node, a brief description of the mechanic, and any related resource nodes. All node descriptions are available irrespective of what keys/achievements have been gained.
On the load map dialog, any key/achievement which is gained by solving the map is now shown on the right of the map-selection list. This way you can see which map to load in order to gain a specific key/achievement.
BreakerBaffle re-arranged to put the easier level BreakTangle before the Breaker key/achievement and the harder levels BreakerRing and BreakerFork after. BreakerFork is now the boss level of the map.
Fixed the unintended trivial solution in level CloneBuilder
Where "Strong" borders meet "Normal" borders on a single line, the graphic for this now warps smoothly.
If you completed an advanced map before 0.18-beta was released, you can get the new achievement for that map without re-solving its levels. Just load the map, click "reset" and then when it asks "Do you wish to reset all levels to unsolved", click "no". Then wait until the level-popping animation completes, then the new achievement should unlock.

Community content: first batch of 12 levels approved!
Steam user The_Bruce has been hard at work using the Tricone Lab editor to craft two new maps. These have been shared to the Tricone Lab Online community server, and given "approved" status as part of Tricone Lab Online's quality control procedure.
BarbaraBreaker has 6 levels and requires just the Tricone and Breaker keys to play.
Cyclical has 6 levels and requires the Tricone, Breaker and Transporter keys. It has also been given the "recommended" tag.
Here's the boss level from Cyclical, it's called Spiral:
Click the "download map" button on the game's main menu to download these maps to play.
Have fun!
