Exciting news everyone – Trifox has a release date! It's going to launch on Steam (and other PC storefronts) on the 14th October! If you haven't already, be sure to add the game to your wishlist and you'll receive a reminder on launch day as soon as it's available.
In addition to the PC version, Trifox is also coming to consoles. It arrives on Nintendo Switch 13th October, and Xbox One and Xbox Series on 14th October. PS4 and PS5 versions won't be far behind, although we're still waiting for a confirmed date.

After years upon years of hard work, by a small Belgian team of only three developers, finally we can start answering the most frequently asked question we had to face: When will the game release?
Well, we're feeling pretty good about September 😉
Does that mean the release date is set in stone?
Not exactly.
As you may have heard, Trifox is releasing on PC & Consoles and ideally, we want to release on all platforms at the same time. The porting process has been our biggest focus in recent months, making sure that all players across all platforms get the best possible experience.
As we get closer to September, we'll be able to pinpoint an actual release date and when we do manage to lock that in, you'll be the first to hear it!
Thanks for sticking with us all these years, and know that we're just as excited as you are that players will finally get their hands on the finished game. Better get that controller warmed up!
LET'S TAKE A WHISTLESTOP TOUR OF TRIFOX'S WORLDS!
Trifox is split into four 'worlds' and we thought it would be cool to give you a quick look at the three main ones that Fox has to travel through as he pursues the thieving no-gooders who have stolen his TV remote. Each world has its own theme – Island, Wastelands, and Mountain – and we hope this whistlestop tour gives you a flavour of each one.
WORLD I: ISLAND
The first port of call on Fox's quest is this tropical hideaway. It sure looks like a little slice of paradise, but you'll quickly discover this place is COCONUTS!
The island was once home to an ancient civilization evidently very fond of building puzzle-based mechanisms perfectly designed for a cunning fox to figure out.
We can't possibly say for sure, but this area of the island may or may not be the hideout for a motley crew of sword-wielding and bomb-lobbing pirate foxes.
WORLD II: WASTELANDS
An abandoned mining site repurposed by the villainous vulpines, the wastelands are hot, dusty, and littered with ramshackle machinery that almost certainly contravenes health and safety regulations.
Ooh, look at those pretty red barrels. Perhaps they contain lovely juicy apples or delicious tasty cider, perfect for refreshing famished foxes. WRONG. They contain EXPLOSIVES that EXPLODE.
Hold on to your bushy-tailed butts cos these tracks can only mean one thing: MINECART RIDE!
WORLD III: MOUNTAINS
Can foxes swim? Sure they can! Do they like getting wet? Heck no! Fox kindly requests you navigate the mountain's icy rivers extra carefully as he really doesn't enjoy having soggy paws.
You'll need to endure a cold climb with perilous precipices, rickety cable cars, and deadly drops in order to reach the summit.
If you think this looks dangerous and treacherous, you'd be 100% correct. Luckily, our hero Fox eats dangerous and treacherous for breakfast. Not literally. He probably has porridge.
Hope you enjoyed that little tour of Trifox's worlds. We'll be taking a look at enemies and abilities in a future post, so keep your beady eye peeled for that. Until then, stay foxy!
This is our first post in a while, but as we slink closer to launch (which, we hope, will be no further than six months away) we'll be posting here much more frequently. And that starts right now, as we invite you all to sign-up for the Trifox open beta!
The beta will run from 25th Feb to 4th March, and we'd love as many folks as possible to participate, so please go ahead and sign-up via our Discord: discord.trifox-game.com
The beta will give you access to the full game in its current work-in-progress state, which includes four different worlds to fight through, three different classes to choose from (Warrior, Mage, Engineer), and 30 different skills and abilities to unlock and try on for size.
Beta players will be invited to provide feedback, which will help inform the final stages of development ahead of the game's launch on PC and consoles later this year.

NEW DEMO AVAILABLE NOW!
There's a new demo ready and waiting for you to download from the Store page!
It's been updated in time for the latest Steam Festival, which is now underway and runs until next Thursday, 7 October, 10am PDT. There are now two stages to try in the demo – the previously available island-based Stage 1-2 'In A Pinch', and the newly added Stage 3-1 'A Minor Deviation'.
Packed with puzzle-platforming and combat, the new level is one of Trifox's stages set in the 'Mountains' world, and includes an icy cavern to explore, and rushing rivers to cross. It features a host of enemies, including sharp-teethed furballs known as 'Munchies', as well as mobs of pesky enemy foxes in various guises, including Ninjas, Tommy Gunners, Wizards, and plenty more besides.
You can still choose to play the demo in whichever of the three character classes you prefer: Warrior, Mage, or Engineer. Oh, and character movement has been updated, so foxy is now able to double-jump, and sprint!
