Bug Fixes related to game sessions (0.3.0.4)

important bug fixes


Fixed a timeout issue caused by a bug that prevented proper matching after a sortie.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our players.
We will continue to monitor the matching process closely after this patch.

  • Fixed an issue that caused some UI displays to be corrupted in play environments with screen ratios other than 16:9.
  • Fixed a issue that prevented some recovery effects from being displayed.


Update


Addition of buffs and debuffs is now easier to understand


When a buff/debuff is added to a character or boss, an "icon and name" will now appear around it.


Resetting hate is now easier to understand


Text is now displayed when hate on the boss is initialized.

The only hate value you lose is the white gauge.




The above display can be toggled on and off in the "Display buffing" item added to "Options" -> "Game Settings".


Adjustments



  • Adjusted player AI (COM) evasion behavior, etc.
  • Lighter effects for some bosses.
  • Lighter background and character-related graphics
  • Normal Mode/Stage 2: Adjusted to make it harder for the player AI (COM) to fall inside the stage.

Notice of Bugs Related to Game Sessions

Thank you for playing the early access version of TrinityS.
This is 'TrinityS' development team.

Currently, there is an issue where a game session cannot be started from the lobby when playing with multiple players. The development team is currently investigating this issue, and we would like to inform you that until the issue is fixed, you may be able to play the game normally by using the following temporary workaround.

Change Host


Changing the player who creates the lobby may change the host and allow the game session to start normally.

Verify integrity of game files


'Verify integrity of game files' may allow you to start a game session successfully.
You can try 'Verify integrity of game files' by right-clicking on the game title in the library, selecting 'Properties' and then "Local Files".




If the symptoms do not improve after trying the above methods, we would greatly appreciate it if you could post detailed information in the following bug report thread.
We will use this information to investigate the cause of the problem in order to fix it.

  • Hard mode/Stage2: Fixed an issue where hit detection was lost when "Cyclone" was activated on a character in the process of falling.
  • Hard Mode/Stage4: Fixed an issue where "Crystal Fall" would not be performed if the HP fell below 50% with the fallen crystals left in the "Crystal Fall".
  • Fixed an issue where some bosses under certain conditions would perform enhanced attacks without going through the motion after the phase.
  • Fixed an issue in which some recovery effects were not showing effects.

The Hard Mode has been implemented in this update. You all can enjoy battles against more powerful bosses.
We've also added a lot of systems and made a lot of improvements to the game, including some UI fixes, with a focus on ease of play!

Update


'Hard Mode' is unleashed!



All the boss monsters are once again upon the adventurers! They are enhanced with vicious feats.
A completely different experience awaits you in Normal Mode!

Hard mode features

  • Only three-player games are supported.
  • You cannot play with COMs (AI).
  • Only players who have completed Normal Mode will be able to play.
  • There are multiple boss action patterns, which change with each sortie. (They do not change during the battle.)


'Character customization' is added.


A system to change the appearance of each character has been added.
Complete missions to get weapon skins and character skins and customize your character to your liking!

*Customization reflects appearance only and does not reflect on status.

'Missions' is added.


We have implemented missions that will be one of your goals when you play.
Completing missions earns you new skins and other items that can be used for customization.


Lobby system renewed.


The previous Quick Match system was designed specifically to quickly gather party members, but it was difficult to recruit party members with the same objectives for the strategy.

With this update, the Quick Match system has been discontinued and a screen has been implemented to allow users to search for lobbies.


Lobby creators can now change their play style from the settings, allowing them to gather party members that match their proficiency and strategy goals.
This is also very helpful if you want to play in a particular role, as you can check which roles have already been selected before entering the room.

Lobby IDs are also available and can be used to recruit parties outside the game.
*Searching by lobby ID is possible even if the lobby setting is private.

'Continue' is added.


A system has been added that allows the user to start the same stage again when a battle has been terminated due to a network error, for example.
An 'adventure record' is created at the end of a battle, and players with the same adventure record can re-launch the battle.



Many players were forced to spend long periods of time and play through very stressful stages that they finally cleared only to have to start over due to network errors. Since Hard Mode requires a longer time to conquer than ever before, this will be a very useful feature.

    Old: Restores you 100 HP. For 15 seconds, "Iron Wall" is granted you.

Priest

  • Corrected effect text for 'Heal Area'.
    Old: It gradually heals players in the area.
    New: It heals 25 HP of players in the area every second.
  • 'Regeneration' effect duration extended.
    Duration of effect: 10 sec ⇒ 12 sec
  • Decreased cool time for 'Divine Aura'.
    Cool Time: 20 sec ⇒ 12 sec
  • Increased mana costs for 'Resolute'.
    Mana Cost: 3 ⇒ 5


Initial skills changes.
"Cure" has been added to Priests' initial skills.
This has removed 'Forte Shock' from the initial skill set.
Priests' initial skills are Divine Aura, Heal Area and Cure.

We believe that the usage rate of the Cure is increasing as the later stages progress, and that it is recognised as one of the essential skills, for example by resetting the game in Normal Mode if the player does not have the Cure. Of course, we have confirmed that it is possible to clear the final stage without this skill, but we decided to include the key skill in the strategy as an initial skill to avoid situations where it does not even exist as an option. We believe there is still room for improvement in the system itself, such as the fact that the abnormalities generated by the bosses are too powerful and the balance of each skill is unbalanced, so we plan to make further updates to the system, including the skill effects.

  • Reduced duration of effect of 'Nitro Shot'.
    Duration of effect: 20 sec ⇒ 15 sec

  • Certain moves used by bosses when using 'Seven Dimension' can no longer be evaded.

    This skill was designed to maintain the player's passive levels while stopping the player from attacking the boss, but it is increasingly being used as a means of forcing the player to break through the boss's powerful gimmicks. While this skill is very stylish and can be a hero in a party, we have modified the overly powerful effect to be more in line with the design intent.

10 Steam Achievements have been added with this update.

About resetting saved data


Saved data prior to 0.3.0.0 has been reset.
This requires a tutorial when the game is launched, and Hard Mode cannot be joined until Normal Mode is completed again.
Also, the options have been restored to their default settings, so please check again.

Resetting saved data due to updates.

This is to inform you about the "save data reset" due to the update to be released.

The update adds various parameters, and in order to prevent problems with game progression due to inconsistencies with previous save data, we have decided to reset your game data once.

After the major update patch is applied, players' save data will be reset.
To start the game, you need to complete the tutorial.
You must also play Normal Mode in order to challenge the updated Hard Mode, but your Normal Mode clear history has also been reset, so you will need to clear Normal Mode again in order to challenge Hard Mode.

We are very happy to finally be able to deliver the announcement of the major update to you, as we have continued to develop the game to the best of our ability based on your feedback and support. Thank you very much for your support.

Now, the first major update for the early access version of the game, we have decided to deliver it on December 23, 2022 (JST)!
To celebrate the big update and to coincide with the Steam Winter Sale, we will be holding a 20% off sale, so be sure to grab your friends and challenge the more vicious boss monsters during the New Year's holiday!



Major Update Details


The early access major update of TrinityS adds new main content such as Hard Mode, Mission, and Customize, as well as a variety of game tweaks and enhancements. We are also making a wide variety of adjustments to the game.



'Hard Mode'


This is a new mode in which the boss monsters appear with vicious techniques.
Hard Mode can only be played by players who have cleared Normal Mode, and can only be attempted by three players. The boss monsters in this mode are much more fearsome than those that existed before the major update, so be sure to invite your friends to join you in the challenge!
* The mode that could be challenged before the major update is called 'Normal Mode' and the new mode added this time is called 'Hard Mode'.
* You cannot play with COM (AI).



'Missions'


A wide variety of new missions are available for players to try.
By completing missions, players can obtain new skins that can be used in the 'Customize' feature. Let's try our best to complete all the missions!



'Character customization'


You can change the look of your character, weapons, and pins with skins obtained from the `Mission` feature.
Whether you want to change the look of your character to your favorite look or equip a hard-to-find skin to show other players how much you've done, customize your character with the skin of your choice!



New systems such as 'Lobby System' and 'Continue' features!


In addition to the 'Hard Mode', 'Mission' and 'Customize' features, which are the main contents of this major update, various adjustments have been made to existing systems to make the game even easier to play. For example, the existing 'Quick Match System' has been eliminated and a new 'Lobby System' has been introduced. This allows players to create and search for lobbies at their discretion, allowing them to play the game for various purposes.




In addition, when a game is terminated due to a network error or other reason, it is necessary to start over from the beginning of the stage, but by using the 'Continue' features to be introduced this time, it will be possible to start from the same stage that was last played.
