We fixed the bug with cabinet that contains bandages in underwater shipwreck. Previously you could pick up bandages while cabinet doors were closed.

Stamina bar is regenerating faster now.
Mosquitoes attack has been reduced.
The duration of torch has been quite increased, from 5 mins to 11 mins.
We fix objective text for objective: "... collect 12 woods and put them in drop zone".

One user informed us that SteamVR is launching automatically with our game, we fixed that bug.
Also, he had a problem with green flickering lines (bars, stripes) in game.
The problem is with Unreal Engine 4, we solved this problem, so contact us on mail, or wherever you want, for solution.
We noticed that we made a mistake with objective: "... collect 10 woods and put them in drop zone".
You need to collect 12 woods.

If you can't see scales when you are near to camp fire, press U key to turn on again HUD icons.
We changed time for cooking from 100 seconds to 60 seconds, so you can cook faster.
We want to remind you that you can increase duration of camp fire by using branches through inventory.

Previously, day and night was the same.
Also, now when it rains at night, it's overcast.
We changed option "Foliage" (in video menu). Previously, if you turn off foliage and want to turn it on again, you need to start new game. Now you can continue your progress, but we recommend you to go to area where there are no trees, like beach, save game, turn on foliage, and continue your progress.
The reason why you need to do this is because there's a chance that you will be spawned in tree.
Also we recommend you to do backup of your save game files if you want to turn on foliage again, so you can't lost your progress if something goes wrong.
For those who don’t know, when you turn off foliage, forest is quite reduced, and there is no wind for trees and grass.
We want to improve fall damage system, because if you slide down the hill you can easily die.
Update #2
Also we changed resources needed for crafting shelter, raft and campfire. Now is easier to collect items.
We solved the bug when the cutscene starts and you accidentally press Interact (F) key to drive while you are on raft. This caused your scales set to zero and you can’t progress further.
We changed default settings when you start game for the first time or if you deleted settings file. Previously was set to high presets, and now is low to medium presets in order to avoid crash at the beginning. So check video settings and tweak them.
You can always run game benchmark to see how the game performs on your configuration.
If you are running game on ultra settings, be sure to check resolution scale is set to 100% to be able to experience best from game graphics.
We are investigating problem with saving and loading game.
In the meantime if you have experienced this bug, try to run game in administrator mode (Run as administrator) because save game files is located on your system drive.
If than doesn’t help you, check your steam cloud, if it’s enabled, you can’t delete your save game files. To solve this issue, turn off steam cloud, delete save files, start new game, turn on steam cloud, choose local save files. Inform us if this didn’t help you.

Mosquitoes will not disturb you if you are near the fire, if you swim, if it rains, or if you have a torch.
There’s a two lakes and river on main island with water that you can drink.
Once you craft a shelter, you will get the bottle and plant zone.
Update #1
with low, medium, and high presets, because default settings for game is set to high.
Be sure to check that you have required Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and DirectX
(YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tropical Escape\_CommonRedist).
Even then if game still crashing install UE4 Prerequisites Setup (YourSteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Tropical Escape\Engine\Extras\Redist\en-us).
Loading time may increase with lower PC configurations. When “Loading screen” appears, it looks like it’s frozen but be patient. The same goes for “Black screen” at beginning after UE4 logo.
We have read in some reviews:
“You can not take or use stones that surround you, palm leaves, etc ...” – Yes, you can pick up stones, stones is needed for campfire, and yes, you can pick up fresh palm leaves, you will use them for shelter. You probably tried to pick up dry palm leaves but you don’t need them at all, they are useless.
Someone wrote that there is no way you can craft raft, there is no recipe nor anything, so we wrote quick guide.
Someone has expected that there is Spanish language in game and they said that they can’t find it, even we didn’t announce anywhere that our game has it.
Also we have read that our game have malicious software. We tested game for many times, on different computers and everything is alright. Valve tested our game too and they didn’t find any problem.
If something isn’t right, please don’t panic, no need for that and no need for mean comments and negative reviews immediately. We are aware that you have paid for game so we won’t ignore you, we will give our best to help you. You can contact us anytime wherever you want.
This is a quick guide for beginning of game:
Some important controls (default keys):
“E” – Pick up items
“I” – Inventory
“O” – Drop zone
“U” – Hud icon for objective
“F” – Interact
If you can’t find objective location press U key to turn it on and look around you.
Inventory is used for items that you have found, which you can later drop in “drop zone” because you can carry only 10 things at once.
Drop zone is used for crafting bigger things, like raft, shelter, campfire, SOS sign…
Later in game, you will unlock “plant zone” which you access through drop zone. Plant zone is used for vegetables. You have to find seed, plant it and then you need water twice.
Interact button is used for sailing raft, sleeping in shelter, drinking water, interacting in missions, lowering the sail…
You can’t eat raw crab, you have to cook it first, but you need shelter to be able to craft a campfire. So at the beginning stick to fruit.
You want to go to main island as soon as possible because there isn’t much food at starting island.
While collecting items for raft you want to find items for torch, so you can see at night where are you going.
If you go downhill use walk or crouch key, you can easily fall if you run.
Don’t use bandages if you have full health.
The purpose of the traps is to catch bigger animals like deer or wild boar.
The raft needs a wind so that it can move, go to sail and press F key to lower the sail.
When you arrive on main island you are near the river so you want to go there because you can’t drink salt water from ocean (go to your left side over the beach after the cutscene). On the way to there you can find fruit on beach (coconut under the palm tree).
Hurry up with crafting shelter because after four days without sleep, you die. You probably spent at least one day crafting raft so you don’t have much time left.
Most resources can be found on a beach.
After crafting shelter you will get bottle which is used for vegetables. There’s a lake close by your shelter.
Keep in mind that this is challenging game, you can’t just run, walk and expect that everything is automatically done.
Release date and languages update
Tropical Escape will be released on 15.02.2018 at 10:00 PM CET (1:00 PM PST).
