Hello Last week we have reached 1 year since the early access release of True Mining Simulator. Since release we have released 3 major updates and were working despite some unfortunate factors on the biggest update yet – 0.2
First, to celebrate the year of game’s development the True Mining Simulator will be on the biggest discount so far – 12% for 12 months on the run.
Second, let’s check progress on 0.2 update. So far, we can show some things that are still in the works. Unfortunately, 2021 was not a fruitful year for the development team, we’ve run into different life, health, study issues, some people joined us, some people decided to move on. So please note, likely not all features below may get to 0.2 update, because it is still in the works. And based on our recent productivity, it will be some more months before it’s released. So here is what’s planned for 0.2 as of now:
Visual rework of the room
Adding more space for True Miner to dwell and some new mechanics together with it
New components are arriving to the market
Phone rework – there is more than just one chat
Video settings will be available for tuning
Some bugfixes

0.1.5 It's time to rest
This update is focused on... nap time. Yes, now after long and frustrating mining farm assembly you will be able to take a 10 hour long sleep.

Fatigue mechanic implementation
We've done a small rebalance to better illustrate real world mining with addition of this new mechanic.
Better sound handling in some cases

Next updates are already in progress. In particular 0.1.6 will start setting some goals in this senseless rooms of yours. Development update and 0.1.5 announcement
You may already know that we are working on this game for quite some years already as part of our hobby. But since last several months it became more serious for us as we have seen support from all of you. So, we needed to refresh our capabilities to develop TMS and this resulted to the fact that we now have new people joined to contribute to game development. And as a result, updates will be more often from now on. We will try to keep monthly game update schedule.
So that means that 0.1.5 will be released later this month. For those of your monitoring our Trello board, you probably already know that it will be mainly devoted to fatigue.
But that is not everything: 0.1.6 and 0.2 are already in development as well. And we are working on our roadmap for other future updates. 0.2 update will focus on bringing more variety to the components and will start a long road of resolving space problems.

Let's jump right into the changes:
This update includes several major features:
Save game
Background music
Basic settings menu
And some improvements
Better data types suitable for bigger scale mining
Better numbers rounding to prevent some exchange issues
Hunger is not a number now
Changed footstep sound
Minor gameplay rebalancing
Overall, this update included changing over 150 game files and thousands lines of code. And was really a big deal for us. But now you are going to hear from us more often. 0.1.5 and future updates are already in development. We will reveal more details soon on our next development efforts.

Current 0.1.4 update status
Hey! We would like to share the actual development status of the 0.1.4 update.
At the moment, there are still 2 things in progress:
Save game: feels like more than half of the work is ready here.
Updating the control system to the modern version in the game engine we are using. It is close to the final stage right now.
As we wrote earlier, all these changes affect a considerable amount of the existing code that we are reworking. And as you may have already heard, the development of this game is still not our main job :(

Minor updates:
Another new model from the update after 0.1.4
Hunger will be displayed as a bar instead of %
Why so long?
Our performance is currently not at the level we would like it to be. For various reasons. Mostly personal.
Also because of this, among other things, there are (and possibly will still happen) rearrangements of people helping with the project
We hope that the measures we are taking will help solve the current problems, at least partially. The effect of the changes will be fully felt in the update following the upcoming 0.1.4 update

Upcoming Update 0.1.4 Announcement
Hey! We want to share information about our plans and current progress. In the next update, 0.1.4, there will be 3 new major features:
saving the game;
background music; (it was very difficult to find a screenshot or a gif ːsteamhappyː )
basic settings menu.
In the process of working on these items, we've realized that we needed to redo a lot in the game, for example, the control system and the way game was initially architected (there should have been boring and long technical explanations). That is why the update, unfortunately, takes our little team so much time ːsteamsadː But we want you to know: at the end of each new week we have more ready than at the end of the previous one. As soon as we understand that the update is ready, we will certainly let you know.
By the way, after 0.1.4 we plan to add:
the mechanics of fatigue and sleep;
new components.

Day 2 - Rebalance Patch
Hello We are very pleased that you've already shared your thoughts on what needs to be improved. So here's one of the things we could've done fast - rebalancing some aspects of the game. Rebalanced items below:
Electricity bills will be several times lower - let's change country for a one with cheaper electricity
Prices on items change to better reflect real world prices
Minor crypto rates engine tweaks
Though you are not allowed to go out - your hunger will increase a bit
Game time flows a little faster for smoother replays
And there's one more important change - we've moved game to the latest major version of it's game engine. After this update we will be able to use latest engine optimizations and some of its updated opportunities. Please let us know if you'll notice any issues.
