Today I have for you more Inventory work. We are trying to think of ways to condense the inventory down a bit more, and yes it is still a #WIP and things need to be adjusted.
For this week, we have for you part of the level up screen, when you level up you will be able to add an extra stat to Fain, of your choosing. Working on an image for Magic (The Star).
Apples are common in Trysaria as well as Earth (fancy that!) and can be used as a quick snack to gain a few health points.
Apples can be cooked or baked as well to create a more hearty and useful food item.
Apple: The kind of apple you might find in your tree. Offers basic health restoration. Lustrous and crisp, this shiny red apple looks delicious.
Black Apple: A black apple with a sour smell that crinkles your nose. It might heal Fain? Its skin is black and it smells sour and peculiar… Perhaps better left alone.
Baked Apple: Baked apples smell sweet and have a lovely texture. Often given to children as a sweet. This food offers health restoration. Baked with cinnamon and sugar, this sweet treat smells beyond heavenly.
Over the next few log entries, we are going to start looking at ingredients & food.
Trysaria is a world of multiple cultures, peoples, and biomes rich with raw ingredients and has a varied gastronomical landscape for players to uncover!
Once Fain has collected enough ingredients he can cook/prepare those items to produce food, which can be used to increase his health as well as trigger hidden buffs or debuffs!
Ingredients:
Ingredients are the raw uncooked elements that make up a food dish. Ingredients can be purchased from vendors and found throughout the world. Every unique biome that the player navigates in the game has its own unique ingredients to be found.
Food:
Food can raise Fain’s health or stats when used. Each food ‘item’ has a unique effect and sometimes these effects are not immediately obvious, for example, a food item might add to Fain’s slash resistance and the player won’t know that boon is being applied until they fight a specific enemy. For players who want to know the full and unlisted effects of food items, a comprehensive guide can be found on the wiki. Trysaria Wiki
Food can be cooked by Fain using ingredients but it can also be purchased by vendors. The cuisines available for purchase will vary from area to area so always keep an eye out for new and interesting foods!
