More than 1.000 people united to help us with funding and we can't thank you enough! We didn't just secure the game being funded, but we have also reached some of the stretch goals:
During the campaign we have announced that Hat Kid from A Hat in Time will be joining our heroes on their jungle adventure as a 5th playable character.
We still can't believe that we’ve collected 158% from the 35.000 of our initial goal.
So time for us to start making the final game! We will be back with more updates shortly but right now we need to rest from this overwhelming experience!

We have a very special announcement to make!
Tunche Arena is finally available for everyone on Steam for free. Join our little tea party and climb your way up to the top of the Leaderboards to see what you're made of! Try the challenging Horde mode to beat the big bad Boss or see how far can you make it in the Endless mode.
We have 20+ achievements to unlock, lots of enemies to beat and of course a little bit of witchcraft.

HypeTrain Digital and LEAP Game Studios are excited to announce that hand-drawn Beat’em up Adventure Tunche is coming to Kickstarter on January 14. This new trailer’s visuals are a call back to the game hand-drawn art style. The trailer follows the group of 4 protagonists of the game deep into the rainforest. The wild nature of the trailer is complemented by a music track made by 2Mello.

Tunche: Arena offers two playmodes to explore. Get through hordes of enemies to challenge a powerful Boss, or test your strength and see how far can you get in the endless mode.
Arena doesn’t offer all the features the full game will have. However, it will get you familiar with Tunche’s fighting system combining classic beat’em up gameplay, magical abilities and stylish grade system.

Developer Blog #2 - Rumi, the big-eyed Shaman
Meet Rumi, the big-eyed Shaman
Hello, everyone!
I’m Diego “Dirole” Rodríguez, Game Designer at LEAP Game Studios. Today I have the honor to present the very first entry regarding the development of our new game, Tunche.
Our beloved shaman, Rumi, is the first playable character we’ve created so far. Like the rest of them, she’s travelling through the deepest and most magical areas of the Amazon rainforest in search of something with great personal meaning to her. We don’t want to spoil the ending, but I can tell you it’s very closely related to the mythical creature known as Tunche.

Combat-wise, Rumi has a basic melee combination attack, which can be improved later on to have up to three finisher attacks. All of them are made through the invocation of Piu, her small red bird familiar, whom rapidly flies around her, hitting everything on its way. She also has a magic attack consisting of spiritual energy bolts that give off a small explosion on impact and can even slow down enemies.

Since she has a close relationship with the magical aspects of the world, her powers manifest in a variety of ways. For instance, for her special attack she calls forth a mud-spewing golem, as seen on the gif below, which heavily damages all enemies in its wake. And her other powers, which we’ll reveal in time, also show the magical nature of this dazzling character.
Just like Rumi, all of the characters we create will feature melee, magic, power and special attacks, each manifesting in unique ways that will represent their personality and essence.
