Version 1.11.1 Patch Notes

This small update brings two highly requested quality of life features. Thanks to everyone who's been playing and making requests over the past few months!

New Features

  • Hide connection information by default and don't display it when using the copy buttons
  • Push to talk support with customizable key bindings (disabled by default, enabled from the audio options menu)

Version 1.10.8 Patch Notes

This update brings some performance improvements and a minor bug fix. Thanks to everyone who has been playing the game and sending feedback our way!

Adjustments

  • Increased aggressiveness of LoD switching on trees and some vegetation
  • Removed shadow casting from some tiers of LoD on various objects
  • Removed in-engine performance increasing features that measurably reduced performance
  • Increased the tolerance for dropped frame detection to improve input responsiveness at low framerates


Fixes

  • Fixed a rare bug that could lock players into an error report screen in the main menu

Tvö Localization Update!

We’re excited to share that there are three new language options in Tvö. The following languages can be selected in the main menu:

  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • Chinese (Traditional)
  • Tagalogːsteamsaltyː

A huge shoutout to the talented multilingual developers that put in a lot of work to make this possible!



Version 1.9.4 Patch Notes

Today's update focuses on updating our third-party systems and making sure nothing blows up in the process! We believe this should primarily help people who have experienced connectivity and voice chat issues.

New Features

  • Added a "Steam Invite" button to the host screen for the convenience of people playing through Steam
  • Added timeout to prevent people from exploiting our networking system and keeping connections alive longer than they should


Upgrades

  • Upgraded our third-party networking systems to the newest stable versions and modified API access as needed
  • Upgraded our third-party voice chat system to the newest stable version
  • Updated the game engine to the newest stable version


Adjustments

  • Increased voice chat quality at the cost of some additional bandwidth
  • Reduced aggressiveness of background noise removal to prevent quiet players from being removed as background noise
  • Adjusted speedrun timer layering with other UI elements
  • Adjusted speedrun timer colouring to make the associated achievement hint more obvious
  • Changed which triggers lift which pillars in one of the puzzles to make the second part of the puzzle more intuitive
  • Changed the behaviour of certain glyphs when a puzzle is completed to make the experience more intuitive
  • Adjusted jump-height and interaction distance to prevent ignoring the mechanics of a specific puzzle
  • Added haptic feedback to additional elements and adjusted some of the timing
  • Added an input prompt in the underground section to remind players how to toggle their torch
  • Removed automatic torch ignition when the underground puzzle is reset
  • Adjusted position of a button in the main menu by 5 pixels (very important!)


Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that caused a certain wind sound effect to ignore volume settings
  • Fixed an issue that caused jump height to be affected by frame-rate
  • Fixed an issue that caused the pause menu to open when closing hidden notes by hotkey on keyboard and mouse

Version 1.8.8 Patch Notes

Today we bring some more fixes and tweaks, with a particular focus on sneaky gamepad issues. We've also added a new feature that might assist some people work on a particular achievement. Thanks again to everyone who's been playing and sharing Tvö!

New Features

  • Added a speedrun timer option in the "Graphics" menu that times runs from the end of the opening credits to the start of the end sequence
  • Added a screen that indicates when a player disconnects instead of sending them to the main menu immediately

Adjustments

  • Made the gamepad cursor move more quickly in menu screens
  • Reduced atmospheric scattering to account for visual artifacts in the underground area
  • Changed inputs to close notebook text to be more in line with other UI interactions
  • Adjusted position of some mossy elements
  • Adjusted position of some wall-text elements

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that rendered the gamepad cursor ineffective when viewing notebooks
  • Fixed control rebinds that made it impossible to scroll notebook text with a gamepad
  • Fixed an issue that disregarded unlocked framerates
  • Fixed an issue that caused certain instances of haptic feedback to be passed between players
  • Fixed an issue that caused ambient noise resume during the ending sequence if the pause menu was opened
  • Fixed a spooky scary skeleton that wasn't behaving as intended
  • Fixed a rock with incorrect LoD placement

Version 1.8.1 Update Notes

This update brings a few minor tweaks and quality of life updates to the game. Thanks to all of the Day 1 players that brought some of these issues to our attention!

For everyone who has reported bugs with the final puzzle, we have verified that all mechanics are working as intended and that it is solvable without resorting to luck. For those of you who want more, we will be dropping a game guide full of non-spoiler and spoiler hints soon.

  • Accessibility option under "Graphics" that increases the size of the in-game pointer
  • Added haptic feedback to certain events for gamepad users

  • Adjusted contrast on some of the wall text elements
  • Added additional tutorial hints at the beginning of the game
  • Adjusted layout of the "Follow the Lights" puzzle for the host
  • Added glyphs to "Platforms" puzzle triggers to make them easier to spot
  • Added a guiding glyph to the path leading forward from the second plaza
