Meet the Indigenous Artists and Collaborators Behind Two Falls

We've recently received some comments asking who are the Indigenous artists and community members that contributed to the project. So here’s an introduction to the fantastic people who took part in the creation of Two Falls:

Isabelle Picard - Writer

Isabelle Picard is a Wendat ethnologist, speaker, columnist, host, and writer from Wendake. Among her many achievements, she wrote the first cultural policy for Wendake. Isabelle is behind the original story of Two Falls and is the creative force behind both Jeanne and Maikan. She crafted these two characters and the adventures they embark on throughout the game!

Tara Miller - Art Director

Tara Miller is a multidisciplinary Maliseet artist. She joined the project early on and dedicated herself to creating two distinct artistic worlds for each character. She is behind the creation of many key elements in the game.

Anne-Marie "Éadsé" Gros Louis - Singer and Composer

Eadsé, meaning "My Good Friend" in Huron-Wendat, is a singer-songwriter from the Wendat Nation, based in Montreal. While she mainly explores pop and soul sounds, she skillfully adapted to Two Falls, creating a unique atmosphere by blending Indigenous instruments with more classical ones.

Awastoki - 3D Artists

“Awast Oki” is the Huron-Wendat name of Alexis, co-founder of the company, meaning “Beautiful Spirit.” Awastoki is a 3D creation company specializing in video games, board games, and industrial machinery. They immediately connected with Two Falls and were responsible for creating all the 3D elements and characters in the game.

Voice Actors

Charles Bender: A Wendat actor, host, translator, and director, deeply involved in sharing Indigenous culture. He voices Maikan in both English and French.
James Malloch: A Mohawk actor and singer, he voices Tehonwastasta in English.

The Elders Council

Nionwentsïo Office: Their mission is to protect the fundamental rights of the Huron-Wendat Nation. They were particularly involved towards the end of the project, offering feedback on the game. They reviewed the texts, speech styles, reactions, actions, and visual elements, advising us on what needed to be changed, added, or removed.

Tshakapesh Institute: Their mission is to safeguard, transmit, preserve, and promote the Innu language and culture. They have been with us since the beginning. We met with people of all ages from their community, who shared legends and insights on topics such as hunting, respect for animals and nature, and their customs and realities. They also played a key role in guiding the direction of the game’s ending. They provided consultation and content validation throughout the project.
