A massive missile strike against Ukraine - 10th October 2022 Dev update
We are here today with an urgent report about the massive missile attack against cities all over Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv, where our team is located. This is how the day started for us:
Part of the team was already in the office, while other were getting ready to go to work or en route, when the first missiles hit Kyiv in the morning of October 10th. That was followed with several more rounds of attack. Overall, it was reported that 83 missiles of different types (43 shot down by AA defenses) and some kamikaze drones (some say 9 out of 10 destroyed by AA) were deployed in this attack.
We decided that everyone could work from home, although some people were already at the office. That came in handy, as subway stopped for a few hours.
As a person who lives in Kyiv my whole life and knows the city quite well, I can tell you that most places of the reported attacks does not make any sense in terms of military logic - its just some parks, squares or cars in the middle of the street, some tourist places as well. Nothing like an important military target, or even government building… The only explanation to that could be that the aim of these attacks is terror of civilians and an attempt to sow panic and chaos.
Yet, some strikes did hit some power plants across the country, causing power shortages in several large cities (but not in Kyiv). Right now, I am writing this news update in my apartments in Kyiv, not knowing where the next Russian missiles would land…
Ukraine War Stories tells the story of the first month of the war. Recently we are having even more good news from the frontlines, raising everyone’s morale in Ukraine and across the world.
Despite difficult times for our country, our team keeps growing, surpassing the 20 people mark, which is also very inspiring and allows us to produce even more high quality content for you.

We are really happy that our free charity project - Ukraine War Stories - is presented at Steam NEXT Fest 3-10 October.

If you have not done so yet - feel free to check out lots of free demos of the upcoming games at the festival. There are still a few days left.
We already see some first results, and the number of new wishlist additions fills us with hope that the project will be well-received on Steam. That is very important for us - we will not earn any money from it, but we will know that our work of passion was not in vain and that many people across the world indeed played the game and learned the real-time story of the people of Ukraine.

Brazilian Portuguese localization added
We are really happy that Disorder Software created Portuguese localization for Ukraine War Stories and are very thankful to everyone who participated in the localization process. Thank you so much for supporting us and supporting Ukraine!
Adding Portuguese localization brings the language count for Ukraine War Stories to 12 languages. We are extremely thankful to all localization teams for making that possible! We hope that we could added even more languages in future.

Steam NEXT Fest starts today!
We are happy to announce that Ukraine War Stories participates in the NEXT Fest where you can play the Demos of upcoming releases on Steam. War in Ukraine - despatch 9 | Dev Q&A, discounts, and more
First of all, news from the front. As I write this, Russia has just officially annexed 4 large Ukraine regions (on top of Crimea), even though they do not fully control them and their troops are now on the back foot - some of them being encircled by the UAF as we speak. That does not change anything though - Ukraine will keep its struggle to restore all territories and kick RF forces out.

Ukraine War Stories release date is announced
We are finally ready to reveal the release date for the Ukraine War Stories full free game. It will become available on 18th October 2022 on Steam.
We are extremely happy that many people from across the world have volunteered to help us with translation and right now we expect over 12 languages available at release. We will announce new languages as we progress towards the release date. That is especially exciting since our key goal for is project is to inform people across the world about the events in Ukraine.
We are also very thankful to everyone who helps us to share the information about the project and allow more people across the world to learn about Ukraine War Stories.

Steam NEXT Fest broadcasts!
We are happy to announce that Ukraine War Stories will be participating in the Steam NEXT Fest event from 3 October to 10 October. We will be featuring an updated version of the Demo with more languages added and some bugs fixed.
Join our broadcast of the Developer’s gameplay of the Ukraine War Stories Demo with one of the developers sharing his personal experience of the events as he plays through the Hostomel story.
We will have two dedicated broadcast timeslots when you can join the Stream to see it from start to finish. Those are:
