Ultimate Arena
Custom Edition Part 1, Out Now
This is the first release in many (probably around 6 total) updates that are part of the Custom Edition package. This first one focuses on creating fighters as I have been working to make the jobs of content creators a bit easier.
So what's changed? On the main menu the layout is a bit different, you'll see a "Steam Workshop" button which takes you to the upload screen. From here you can see your current fighters that you've uploaded to the workshop and for the first time you can actually update your fighters. (this will be important for upcoming updates)
On the user side, fighters from the workshop now are decoupled from your personal catalog and are at the bottom of the fighter list. No longer do you have to delete and redownload characters to get the latest version, they automatically update!
Eventually this functionality will extend to Maps, Events, and Text after I've confirmed everything is working as intended. The next custom edition update will focus on Maps and will add another dimension to the current gameplay. Your bug reports are appriciated and I'll be watching the forums to make sure issues are cleared up ASAP!

Ultimate Arena: Custom Edition Launches This Fall
Arena Fans,
Your voices have been heard, we're bringing major changes to Ultimate Arena this fall.
Ultimate Arena: Custom Edition brings some long-awaited features to the table like:
- More in-depth character customizations, such as the ability to set the sprites of the fighters inside the arena.
- Better Steam Workshop Support (You no longer have to manually update your characters)
- In-game Steam Workshop Browsing
- Mod / Scripting Support
- Twitch.tv Support (Play with your followers and more)
- Gameplay changes to make the game more interesting
- Leaderboards
Because of the scope of these features we're splitting this update up into several parts which should begin arriving as early as this month. That brings me to my next point: This update is 100% free for those who own Ultimate Arena.
For those who don't own Ultimate Arena yet, there's never been a better time to hop on board! Once this update ships the price of Ultimate Arena will be rising from $2.99 to $6.99 (or your region's equivalent currency) to cover the costs of development.

Ultimate Arena v2.5 is out! (Hotfix)
Thanks to everyone reporting errors regarding workshop support / game crashes. We've identified the problem and have fixed them in v2.5 which is rolling out right now. If you don't see an update please restart Steam and it should be there.
As always, the best place to request features / submit bug reports is on Github, to get there just click the Github button on the main menu. Be sure to pick up ULTIMATE ARENA: SHOWDOWN on the cheap before the Steam Summer Sale ends!

Ultimate Arena v2.4 Out Right Now!
We're rolling out a small but well anticipated update for Ultimate Arena, you can now set up teams pre-match! With this you can now set up a solid face-off between your favorite group of superheros and your favorite boy band. Remember! Only one can leave the Ultimate Arena, so don't be surprised when those pop singers start eating each other. This update is our gift to you the fans for playing Ultimate Arena until now and for many years to come.
If you enjoy Ultimate Arena its sequel ULTIMATE ARENA: SHOWDOWN is full of the same classic arena action, but now there's bizzare minigames thrown into the mix. Thanks to the Steam Summer Sale you can pick up ULTIMATE ARENA: SHOWDOWN super cheap if you own the original. Check it out!

Ultimate Arena v2.3 Out Now!
Update 2.3 is rolling out as we speak, if it doesn't pop up for you try restarting the Steam client.
Bug Fixes:
-Fixed a crash after hitting "Go Back" in the character editor
-Fixed an error where multi-person custom updates wouldn't appear
-Fixed an error where you couldn't unpause the game

A New Ultimate Arena is on the Way!
Arena fans,
It's been a long time since our last update, we've got pretty good reason though! Ever since Ultimate Arena left Early Access we've been discussing ways to expand upon the game and improve its current feature set and today I get to share with you our plans for how we'll be moving forward.
ULTIMATE ARENA: SHOWDOWN is arriving on Steam Early Access for $4.99 in January. Owners of the first game will be able to pick it up at a nice discount. We'll have more info on that before release.
There's a few questions to be answered, the first of which is why we are choosing to make a sequel to the original game instead of changing the current version. We have a brand new engine powering Ultimate Arena, for the first time you'll be able to view things in not 1, not 2, but 3 entire dimensions (a 50% increase over the original).
Characters will be able to be designed in our new creator and users will be able to upload new clothes and accessories that can be accepted into the game via the Steam Workshop. We think people will get a lot more mileage out of character creation now that you'll be able to actually see what they're doing and what they look like.
As you might be able to guess, these changes are a little too big in scope for our original engine to handle. If you're a fan of the original we have a treat for you as well. Behind the scenes we're working on a patch to make it 100% complete and clean up some of the bugs that have found their way in over the years. It's our thanks to you for being great fans and making Ultimate Arena a Steam bestseller.
When we launch in January, ULTIMATE ARENA: SHOWDOWN is going to feature a mode we're calling "Classic Mode". Classic Mode is the simulation you've come to know and love, but made better with 3D action and more options than ever. The real treat is a little further down the road. In March we're adding "Minigame Rumble" where fistfights are replaced with minigames. Your dream of Donald Trump vs Kim Jong Un beating each other to the death with oversized hammers will soon be reality.
With Minigame Rumble we also get to address a major feature request: you'll finally be able to play as a character in the arena. In fact, you'll be able to play Minigame Rumble with up to 4 people on the same screen. We know you'll love it, and we're especially looking forward to the incredible content that the community is known for.

Ultimate Arena — News & More
For those waiting for another big Ultimate Arena update I'm afraid I won't be able to offer that today but you should be expecting much more thorough news on that in the near future. So far we've confirmed that there will be a much cooler win screen and that you'll be able to export logs of your games to text in case you want to save some great moments, but rest assured we have a couple tricks up our sleeves.
However, today is also a big day for Triverske because we've launched a Greenlight page for STICK ENGINE, a new game with a lot of the same craziness that made Ultimate Arena so enjoyable. Just click here to take a look at the page!
