Ultimate Rivals: The Court Q&A with Lead Game Designer Arjun Rao
"Ultimate Rivals: The Court is the latest in Bit Fry Game Studios' sports series, following on from Ultimate Rivals: The Rink. We recently had a chance to chat with Arjun Rao, Director of Game Design at Bit Fry Game Studios about how they have found working within the Apple Arcade ecosystem and what makes their game a must-play Apple Arcade title.
First of all, could you introduce yourself and the company you are from? My name is Arjun Rao, I'm the Director of Game Design at Bit Fry Game Studios. We're a fast-growing studio with a wide range of talent, both new and old. We're creating tight, fast-paced arcade sports gameplay in the Ultimate Rivals franchise. We released our NHL-licensed arcade hockey game, Ultimate Rivals: The Rink, at the end of 2019. Since then we have been hard at work on our NBA-licensed arcade basketball game, Ultimate Rivals: The Court, which releases 7/9 on Apple Arcade before expanding out to other platforms later this year.
How did you find working with the Apple Arcade ecosystem? We're grateful for the opportunity Apple has given us in our Apple Arcade partnership. Apple has been a strong supporter of our vision to bring console-quality sports games to the mobile market - they've been in our corner rooting for us since day one. We were lucky to find a partner with whom we could fulfill the vision of Ultimate Rivals without compromise."

The Rock And Other WWE Superstars Join The Ultimate Rivals Franchise
"Ultimate Rivals: The Court and Ultimate Rivals: The Rink assemble legendary athletes from across several sports, including LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes, to compete in over-the-top basketball and hockey matches, respectively. That invitation has extended to sports entertainment, and several WWE superstars have joined the fray thanks to a new licensing deal. Developer Bit Fry Game Studios has gradually unveiled the wrestlers joining the fracas, but the most recent addition has the distinction of being the most electrifying man in both sports and entertainment.
The Rock is joined by Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley as the fifth WWE superstar confirmed for Ultimate Rivals series. Now you can pit Rock against Wayne Gretzky for a Great One-on-Great One showdown. The WWE licensing deal includes eight superstars/legends, with the remaining three to be revealed in the coming months. Until then, you can get a look at the in-game models for the already announced wrestlers in the gallery below."
