UNBOX Demo Now Available!
We're pleased to announce the launch of a free downloadable demo of Unbox!
The UNBOX demo lets players explore a portion of Paradise Isles, one of four large worlds found in the full game. Collect all the tape, earn all of the stamps and get to know the locals along the way!
There's a lot to see and do, so grab the demo and have fun!
It's been wonderful to see the positive response to Unbox and we've been enjoying a lot of the screenshots and videos the community has created!
This week we've been enjoying Unbox videos from DanTDM! And as a treat for fans we'll be adding some DanTDM cosmetics as a free update soon!
Also, for those who may have missed it, some new free content was added to Unbox last week in the form of the Ancient Shrine DLC. The Ancient Shrine DLC includes a new multiplayer map and two cosmetic items, so now is a good time to jump into some multiplayer and give those boxes a makeover!
Finally, Unbox will be playable at EGX in Birmingham! If you're going be sure to visit the stand, play some multiplayer and meet some of the developers!
Free Ancient Shrine DLC & V1.03 Patch!
We're pleased to announce our free DLC, Ancient Shrine, has just gone live on Steam! Ancient Shrine is a local multiplayer arena map that is themed around the ruins of an ancient civilization... Who knows what secrets you might uncover?
Additionally, the Ancient Shrine DLC comes with two new cosmetics to dress up your box with: a Poseidon Crown, and a Poseidon Beard! Each cosmetic has a variety of colour pallette swaps to make your box the most feared cube in Atlantis.
Another week, another patch! Thank you to everybody who has supported Unbox during it’s launch. We are committed to further improving the game and adding content in the coming weeks and months, so let us know what you’d like to see in the comments or on our forums!
Here are the most recent additions and fixes to Unbox:
Added “Shrine” to Unbox. Shrine is a new multiplayer Arena map themed around the ruins of an ancient civilization…
Added two new cosmetics to Unbox: “Poseidon Crown” and “Poseidon Beard”, each with their own colour palettes.
Added dynamic icons that now match any remapped keys.
Added an option to disable Bounce’s help.
Added a V-Sync option to the game, this will reduce screen tearing if enabled.
Removed shadows from Gold Tape.
Fixed an issue where setting Overall Quality to Low would set Texture Quality lower than desired, resulting in undesirable terrain.
Art fixes, optimisations and camera clip layer fixes.
Plenty of smaller bugs squashed.
Box babble, 360° Paradise Isles and more!
It's officially been 1 week of Unbox! We've had a huge amount of positive feedback along with suggestions for added features. From new maps and modes, to VR functionality and more, we're working on what we can bring next to the Unbox experience.

V1.02 Patch is Live!
Thank you to everyone who has sent us bug reports, made forum posts and sent us direct messages, we're working to further improve the game and bring you more unboxing action in the upcoming weeks. We even have a few surprises planned!
n the meantime, we've fixed some critical issues and some other things that were bothering us, and Steam should now update Unbox with version 1.02.
Below is a list of bug fixes and additions to the game:
Fixed an issue with VR turning on when the game is run. (Unbox does not support VR, but we’d left some plugins enabled which was turning it on for those of you with VR headsets. These have been disabled.)
Fixed an issue where opening the game for the first time resulted in flickering and audio, but no game. (Game will now open in Windowed mode the next time you open up Unbox. Resolution can still be changed in the options menu.)
Fans no longer exist without collision.
Fixed an issue with Swift Tailoring where Mouse and Keyboard controls did not work correctly.
Updated the Unbox OST with improved metadata.
Dash’s races now use the correct iconography.
Smoothed a bunch of issues with the NPC Helper Arrow.
Removed 180 from FOV menu.
Vehicle UI element fixes.
Fixed some spelling errors.
Removing gaps in the landscape at cave /tunnel entrances in Worlds 1, 2 and 3.
Checkpoints repositioned for better visibility
Smoothed out jagged areas on the landscape
Visual bugs: Fixing floating and oddly intersecting objects
Optimisation: changing materials, removing extra materials to reduce texture map count in Hub & World 2
Reduced texture/material count in W3
Removed intersecting meshes W3
Additional LODS created for gameplay objects
Particle optimisation for pickups and collectables
Draw distance adjustments for further optimisation
Numerous extra small bug fixes.
