Hi! This post is about some items and ablities you can use in Undead Horde in addition to raising the dead and commanding your undead army. While your undead army does most of the killing, the necromancer is given some nice personal tools as well.
Our first item is the Staff of Hellfire. It shoots a fireball that sets enemies on fire. It's good against crowds. It doesn't help much with the tower but your minions can handle tower if you keep the angry peasants at bay. It isn't that "necromancery" though, so we may theme it differently in the future.
Here the necromancer uses the Circle of Bone. It creates a wall of bone around the necromancer and deals huge damage to everyone inside the wall. The circle of bone protects the necromancer so he can do his re-animating in peace. Once the wall dissipates the necromancer should be prepared to face his foes.
This the Wall of Bone. On casting it creates a wall of bone directed at the aiming direction. One tactic is to let your horde handle the front and then flank the enemy with the bony wall from the side. Necromancer raises some chickens here - they'll be useful in the next demonstration...
Here the necromancer uses the Sceptre of Explosion. It will detonate a unit in your army nearest the enemy. Chickens are plentiful but they can only do little damage against a tower before dying. Using an Sceptre of Explosion on them turns them into clucking bombs which can be very effective!

The Chickening
Today, we introduce an unsung hero of the battlefield, the Chicken. While usually an unwilling participant in the conflict between the dead and the living, the Chicken is a ferocious opponent when provoked.
The Chicken end up in the horde due to their unlucky association with humans, and the Necromancer isn’t picky when it comes to fresh corpses.
Being numerous and expendable, the Chicken are useful in many ways. They’re a perfect target for the Explosion ability - especially when combined with Multiply (which creates short-lived copies of your minions)

Progress Update!
Hi!
It has been over a month since the last update, so we wanted to share the current progress with you. We are not used to posting regular updates, it’s a bit of an adjustment, so thank you for reading this!
First of all, we did a lot of work on gameplay and visuals over the past month. Rampaging through the countryside is now much more pleasant of an experience. The trailer and screenshots have been updated to reflect the current state of the game, so go take a look if you haven’t already!
The next big task is to polish the meat-and-potatoes RPG systems like items, abilities, leveling, and quests. We are currently thinking of keeping the necromancer in more of a semi-support role, using crowd control abilities like the bone wall shown in the new trailer. You are commanding this massive legion of the dead after all, so might as well enable the grunts to do most of the killing.
That being said, we are not going to neglect traditional hammer/sword/axe/dagger swinging, so don’t worry. And since the game is still so early in development, it would be interesting to hear what you would like to do in this game. Let us know what you think!
Scroll of Multiplication
We have this item called "Scroll of Multiplication". It is quite fun, but at the moment somewhat "unbalanced". The scroll of multiplication multiplies your units by 10.
Here we used 3 of them in a row so: 10*10*10=1000!
The actual gameplay version of this function will have certain limits on which units are multiplied and how powerful the multiplied units are. The current results are amusing even though not viable as a final mechanic.
Press R to Raise Undead!
There are several sources of undead in Undead Horde. One source of undead for your army are the graves. Raising undead from graves is easy - just hit R and see what you get! Sometimes they may also contain non-humans...
