Director’s Letter Vol. 13
We sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by the issues that arose after the 1st update of Season 5.
We regret that you encountered several issues in the updated version, including the abnormal Drop Chance for the new Grade Essences and Tier 35 Gear, the major changes related to Energy, and the problems with the Chaos Dungeons caused by Darkness Energy.
The development team is currently addressing urgent issues and conducting thorough internal checks to ensure nothing is overlooked.
We aim to resolve many of these problems during the Jul. 25 (Thu) scheduled maintenance and again during the Aug. 1 (Thu) scheduled maintenance.
The issues with Darkness Energy arose as demand significantly exceeded supply. To address this by Aug. 1 (Thu), we plan to increase the Daily Exchange Count for Darkness Energy, add a chance to obtain Darkness Energy when disassembling, allow the purchase of Darkness Energy from Croco’s Disassemble Exchange Shop, and include Darkness Energy Bundle Drops in Hard Mode.
To help alleviate the wait until Aug. 1 (Thu), we will be distributing 1,000 Darkness Energy every day from Jul. 25 (Thu) to Jul. 31 (Wed).
The recent improvements to Energy were intended to address the imbalance that had focused too heavily on specific types of Energy and to prevent over-reliance on some builds.
In the next season, we will introduce new Link Runes to enhance Energy effects and make additional balance adjustments as needed.
Lastly, there is still an issue with the Tier 35 ‘Arcane’ weapon gear, where the Unique Options have excessive stats that were not part of the original design.
Since some Rune Hunters already have these weapons while others do not, we will not be performing a separate balance patch.
However, because the Unique Options on the ‘Arcane’ weapon gear will have a long-term impact on balance, this gear will only be available during Season 5 and will not be obtainable in future seasons.
We understand that some Rune Hunters might be concerned about some items becoming legacies, as has happened in the past. Rest assured, we plan to address these concerns through system adjustments in upcoming seasons.
We put a lot of effort into creating enjoyable content for Season 5, but we understand that the early issues have been disappointing.
To make up for this, we have prepared some rewards, though they may not fully resolve the problems.
We hope these rewards will help Rune Hunters enjoy Season 5 a bit more.
Preparing the rewards will take some time, so they will be distributed to all Rune Hunters during the Aug. 1 (Thu) scheduled maintenance.

- The issue where some mail sent by the Login Event is not being received properly will be fixed.
- The issue where Jewels cannot be equipped in slots granted to ‘gear obtained from the previous season’ will be fixed.
- The issue where the necktie in the female character's 'School Day School Uniform Top' Costume is displaying incorrectly will be fixed.
- The issue where options that do not match the item type are being enchanted on some Tier 35 gear will be fixed.
- The issue where the app crashes under certain circumstances when viewing the Disassemble Rewards pop-up will be fixed.
- The issue where the 'Total Playtime Event' does not reset will be fixed.
- The issue where the volume is set too high when another player summons the pet 'Teor' in Towns will be fixed.
- The issue where items occasionally do not drop when entering a Stage will be fixed.
- Tier 35 Gear Drop Chances will be improved. (Added on Jul. 24 18:30 (UTC+9))

Improvements to Darkness Energy Supply and Bug Fixes
After the Season 5 update, we have confirmed that many Rune Hunters are experiencing difficulties with the supply of Darkness Energy.
We have determined, as a result, that it is difficult for Rune Hunters to enter Chaos Dungeon Hard Mode,
and we plan to make improvements to the source/supply of 'Darkness Energy' to alleviate the current situation.
We aim to implement the improvements by the Aug. 1 (Thu) update.
e have also confirmed an issue where 'Sealed Darkness Energy Bundles' do not drop in Chaos Dungeon Hard Mode Stage 0, which we plan to fix as well.
We apologize again for the inconvenience this issue has caused.
We will continue to take the feedback from Rune Hunters into consideration in the future.

New Ways to Use Essences and Attendance Changes
Following the Season 5 update, we have carefully considered the feedback from many Rune Hunters and would like to provide some clarifications.
Firstly, regarding the Essences that were refunded due to changes in the Season 5 update:
Upon review, we understand that there is currently no way to utilize the refunded Essences which were based on the quantities of items held from previous seasons.
Therefore, we will be introducing new ways so you can utilize the refunded Essences to the fullest.
Secondly, the New/Returning Attendance will be changed to apply to all users.
New/Returning Attendance that was introduced with the Season 5 update were initially intended only for new/returning users.
However, after receiving your feedback, we have decided to change the criteria of the attendance rewards to apply to all users, in the spirit of greater inclusivity.
Thirdly, the minimization (hide/show) feature for equipment options will be added for the mobile version.
We have added the feature, which was initially not a part of this update, for your convenience.
This addition aims to assist Rune Hunters experiencing difficulties with equipment enchantments on the mobile version.

You can now open and close equipment options on the mobile version as shown in the screenshot below.

The Rune Hunter Growth Pass, a product that gives you rewards every time your character levels up, will be released.
■ Rune Hunter Growth Pass Period
- After the Jul. 18 (Thu) maintenance - Until before the Season 6 update
■ What is the Rune Hunter Growth Pass?
- Level up your character to certain levels to obtain various rewards that correspond to each level.
- Rune Hunter Growth Pass rewards start from Lv. 5 and go up to Lv. 100, increasing by increments of 5 levels.
- You can purchase the Rune Hunter Growth Pass once per mode, and your Pass progress will only apply to the mode in which the Pass has been purchased.
└ E.g. Playing in Season Normal Mode will not affect your Pass in Season Hardcore Mode.
■ Rune Hunter Growth Pass Rewards
- Normal Rewards: Obtain by reaching the required character levels.
- Premium Rewards: Obtain by purchasing the Premium Pass and reaching the required character levels.
