Progress!
We're making progress and work got up to some pace. (Read below why we have been silent for some time now!)
We moved our project over to Unreal Engine 5. This was a lot of work but due to the size and complexity of our game this was something we had to do, to make development easier and the code easier to maintain.
The electrical base functionality is already working well and currently we're implementing a lot of electrical machines into this base system. (Solar panels, electrical furnaces, lights, batteries, first iteration of nuclear reactors, etc...)
We're also adding a electricity requirement to already existing blocks like thrusters and cockpit seats! So building your spacecraft will be a little bit more challenging! There will also be a sort of "Landing Gear" so landing and parking your spacecraft will be easier and also less taxing on performance.
Also we're making a few improvements to spacetravel. At the moment it takes a very long time to get to the moon for example. We're aming to improve that too.
Can't wait until you guys can play it! As you've probably guessed, the next update will be the "Electrical update" which will bring the first iteration of electricity and electrical machines and items to the game.
Here's a small preview of some machines and the cables.

Why we went silent
There's a few reasons why we were silent and why our development paused for some time. The most important reason and also the main reason has been some severe medical issues for one of our team members. (i don't want to get into much detail here for obvious reasons). Following to that there had been some financial struggles too. And since we're a very small team this meant that there was basically a development stop.
Unfortunately we handled this situation not very well and just went silent. This of course brought a lot of uncertainty to our customers and player base. And we want to apologise for that!
But we're back at work and are working on the game.
