So i've gotten the virtual hands working well enough for me to bring out this update. Having virtual hands in a VR game to me, is a pretty big deal. In my opinion it adds allot to the immersion.
I hope to hear some feedback on this addition and will now continue work on the puzzle map.
Besides the puzzlemap I am working on virtual hands, as you can see in the image. I felt that seeing your hands and arms would add allot of immersion.
Currently I have these working to the point that the shoulders and hands track your body/hands. This is mostly due to a lovely package for unity so most of the credits are to the package. It was however some work to intergrate this into the existing VR rig and code.
I hope to bring these to the game somewhere around the same time that I release an alpha version of the puzzlemap.
Kind regards,
Ray
Further progress on the puzzleroom

I'm slowly progressing on the puzzleroom/map. This particular room shows A typical environment in which you might find a puzzle to open the next room.
I am very curious to hear from the early acces players at what stage they'd like to first be able to enter this map. I'm personally thinking that I could either wait untill it is completely pollished..or..I could let you in as soon as possible knowing that you'll find a very "alpha" map.
After some much needed upgrading and bugfixing i've also resumed work on the first puzzle map. I plan on releasing this map in the next large update.
Basically it's the first glimce at the singeplayer part of the game. This map..for now.. will serve as our test hub for interaction and puzzle mechanics.
Looks pretty scary right? I'll post more screens in the art section as I progress.
Kind regards,
Ray
Ragdolling fix
Yeah so remember when I implemented Ragdolling and all the mummies, zombies and nazi's were flying around as if someone stripped rockets to their boots? I fixed that..
Let's be honest..we all love rocketstrapped mummy corpses but this was getting emberassing.
I still see a small bug with some zombie helmets which I fill fix shortly, but in the mean time have fun seeing a bit more realistic death behaviour!
Kind regards,
Ray
Aaand we're back..!
It has been a while since the last update. Work and a lack of vacation days were the main cause of this.
As a startup for the new year this small update brings UDS to the latest version of unity. So in other words you shouldn't see or feel a difference.
Happy new years and I hope to come with a few content updates soon!
Hi there,
I just wanted to post some progress as I've not released an update in a while. Rest assured I am still at work at some of the key stuff I promised. Right now I am working on puzzles and such. These are needed for the singleplayer. However, they're harder to "release" in a sort of beta state in the current setup of the game.
I do plan on making a sortoff test room with different puzzle setups. In the mean time I made a neat progress gif of the burning lane that I just created!
Kind regards,
Ray
