After long consideration, we've decided to make Under Pressure a free game
We held a vote in our UP Discord Server and found there was a majority interesting in expanding the game into the free to play market. We believe that this transition will bring in more players and hopefully more matches.
We're excited for the future of this game and we will continue to put in the effort to make this a game we all love.

0.6.1-1 Revelations Redesign
Preview of the official redesign for map two, Revelations
With update 0.6.1-1 we've successfully redesigned the infamous Revelations map
It's not exactly like it was but it still maintains the square map shape as well as the merkahbah and corner paths. We also gave the map more strategic positions and secret pathways in order to incentivize area control and team maneuvers. The new map features more of a metalic design versus the original abstract geometry design. Overall, the redesign has brought life and vibrancy to a map that was otherwise not very attractive to play on.
Furthermore, with this update we've added a TON of bug fixes Some of these fixes include:
Removed Phantom Players
Gadgets can be Placed in Garden Caves
Gadgets can be Shared Between Players
Added a Player Retention Discord Popup
Fixed a Couple Collider Bugs
Fixed a Couple Spectate Bugs
Fixed the Map Roll System
The updates over the course of the next month will be issuing a bunch of new unlockables, badges, and quality of life additions so keep your eyes open!!!

0.6.0.0 - O A K T O W N
Hey all,
Just released update 0.6.0.0
In it we've added Map 3, OakTown
OakTown is a dark, close quarters map that takes place in a mystical forest home to a mysterious species. The map brings a new level of technical difficulty to the game by putting the flag posts in highly visible areas contrary to the map's overarching dead forest which makes it hard to spot opponents. The map forces teams to time their flag pushes strategically.
In addition to the new map, update 0.6.0.0 features a new Private Match mode as well as an even more balanced matchmaking system
The next couple updates will tweak the cosmetics of the current three maps, add more badges and equipment, fix any reported bugs, develop a solo/coop mode, and strive to make the game more visually responsive and impactful
We're excited to continue our work on this game until it plays, feels, and tastes like absolute butter

MULTIPLAYER BALANCING
Hey all!
Released a quick update today that added in a balancing system so matches are more fair. No more getting teamed up on by a bunch of veteran players in your 4v4 matches lolol
We also added in lobby chat and tweaked the footstep volume so that it's a logarithmic dropoff and players don't sound like they're right next to you when their not even in the same game..

Jukebox, Footsteps, & Pistol Sensitivity
Hey all!
In the latest update we've done couple things:
Jukebox The music for the main menu has been gutted and has now been replaced with a jukebox that plays selected music from the UP contributors community. Using the jukebox you now have more control over the song that's playing with normal song player controls like skip and play.
Footsteps The footsteps of other players can now be heard from a much greater distance and now the volume of a player's footsteps is linked to their current action. While players are sprinting, their footsteps are the loudest - and while players are crouching their footsteps are the quietest.
Pistol ADS UP has a very unique game design that requires maximum agency over the controls. Since the only two weapons are a sniper rifle and a pistol the ADS sensitivity settings have been a bit difficult to find the balance for the two weapons. Now, the two weapons feature different sensitivity settings so the pistol's ADS speed will no longer have to be sacrificed for sniper accuracy.

0.5.0.0 is LIVE
Hey all,
Just released a major update which shifts the game over to a perpetual lobby system. You will now wait on the menu for a match to start so you can continue to customize your character and buy chests from the shop!
With the new perpetual lobby system, we've increased the potential for joining in the middle of matches (this will help the game immensely since there currently aren't very many people online). We will try and get joining in the middle of matches done by next week so stay tuned!!

0.5.0 MULTIPLAYER REWORK IN PROGRESS
Hey!
Just wanted to let you peeps know that I'm currently working hard on a HUGE update - I'm trying to rework the multiplayer so that there are way less bugs in our online matches and so that 4v4s are actually possible.
Some of the things I've added so far:
- perpetual lobbies (like mw2)
- new gear (including bodies, legs, and jetpacks)
And some of the things I'm still working on are:
- preventing cheats
- moving the save data over to steam cloud
- boosting the rare crates
- adding badges
Now, with this new update, save data will be lost but everyone who has owned the game before 0.5.0 will receive an exclusive early-supporter badge and anyone who has reached past level 20 before the update will receive another exclusive badge on top of the early-supporter.

0.4.9 Targets, Keybinding, Sensitivity, and Strings
Hey lads,
With this update we've finally added in keybinding. We also tweaked the sensitivity settings to be more precise and added a new mechanic for map awareness.
Along with the new keybinding options available in the controls settings and the more precise sensitivity sliders, we've added in a target practice mode so you can tweak your setup. It's also a good place to warm-up before you start a match.
You'll notice that your allies have visible lines above them. The same lines are drawn over your enemies when they shoot, but the line is only visible for five seconds. With this new mechanic, we hope navigating the map and trying to coordinate pushes with teammates is easier than before.
Other than that, we fixed a couple bugs and added in a score indicator to give your kills and objectives a little extra "oomph"

The Shop is Ready for Business
Hey lads,
Today we released update 0.4.8 which contains a fully functional store and equipment system. As of right now, only helmets are unlockable (and there's a small collection), but we'll be adding more throughout the week!
Additionally, we've fixed all the bugs we've received and tweaked the meta just a bit.
The most important things we've added include:
Invert Look Option in Controls Menu
Online Player Count on Main Menu
A Self Destruct Button in Game
A Scope Fade
Louder Gunshots
Lastly, we've removed the spawn protect during sudden death so players can no longer hide in their base in overtime and we've slightly decreased the pistol's firing rate.
With that all said, go start buying stuff in the shop

Flags, Chat, and Scores!
Hey all,
Just finished build 0.4.7!
In this build we've added:
Flag Dropping (switch weapons)
Flag Timer
Color Coded Chat
Join and Leave Messages
Chat Available After Match
A Better Scoreboard
A Waiting Room List
We've also done a couple bug fixes with this update as well. We've made it so the flag no longer disappears randomly, matchmaking is less prone to errors, and the chat menu goes away by pressing enter.
