We've just pushed live v1.1.2. This contains a fix for the behaviour of the pig. Under certain circumstances, the pig would have an unlimited smell distance, and therefore walk out of the cave before you actually got there. Although this sounds like a ridiculous bug, it's really what happened. In 1.1.2, we've improved the pig smelling behaviour, so that he stays in place for you to find him.
Kickstarter progress
The pig has become available as part of our Kickstarter campaign. We're already 90% funded, so the shrine in the west has changed a lot. If you go there now, you'll find a merry bunch of characters, along with a tree that you can climb. When we're fully funded, some more interesting things will unlock.

Hi all,
If you're reading this, it's probably because you following our Unsung Warriors Steam page. You may have subscribed some time ago, because you liked our Prologue, thought our art style looked cool or were generally interested in the game. First of all, thanks for that :).
In the past two years we've progressed a lot with the development of Unsung Warriors. We strongly believe our game needs to be finished, and we've just launched a crowdfunding to make that happen.
In the rest of this message we'll be explaining more about the campaign.

About rewards
We've done our best to create some interesting rewards. Depending on your pledge, you can receive:
Your name in the Prologue's Cavern of Names: many Kickstarter campaigns will credit your name somewhere when the game is released. Not this game though. Get your name put up in the Prologue's Cavern of Names the moment after you've backed us.
Windows/Mac/Linux: play our game on your favorite system through Steam, itch.io and the Atari VCS store.
Physical rewards: for those that want something physical of Unsung Warriors on their shelves, we're releasing an art book which will show you the conception of and story behind our art.
Get eternalized in the game: get a painting of yourself, a statue, or even an NPC in your liking in the full game.
We've released a small update which ties in with our just launched Kickstarter campaign. More about that below.
New in this version: because we want players to keep on exploring, we've added a new secret room, the location of which was conceived at our Discord. It's very hard to find, so to add a small hint: it's only reachable in two player mode (also when one player controls both characters). You can read here in which part of the dungeon the area can be found: in the water section, though not in the water itself. For more hints, check out the secrets channel on our Discord.

1.1 - Kickstarter campaign 20 April
Hi all,
Today we've released an update of the game, which ties in with our upcoming Kickstarter campaign, which will go live on April 20th, 2021. A successful Kickstarter campaign will allow us to speed up development towards an Early Access release. We'll have several rewards, and all reward tiers include having your name engraved in the Cavern of Names. You can already subscribe for a notification:
We've made the following changes to the game:
Updated the shrine: the previous hermit has been buried. A new follower of the prophecy has taken residence in the shrine. A tree shall start growing in real time as of April 20th, as our Kickstarter progresses.
Fixed bug which appeared when playing at 0 in-game sound volume
Fixed bug which occured when re-assigning attack and/or jump buttons
Besides our preparations we're working on the full game. We're adding content and fine-tuning systems. Here's a little snip of gameplay:
Small update on the Prologue, bumped to version 1.0.6:
Fixed issue where player would not land when jumping on crate
Fixed issue where player could walk offscreen through exit portal
Skeleton archer now now rotates when player moves to it's other side (instead of shooting backwards)
Minor spelling fixes here and there
Other than that still working on the full game. Here's a comparison of our early sketches compared to where we are now at graphically. Check our Twitter for more updates.

Hi all,
We've been steadily working on the full version of Unsung Warriors. Based on your feedback, we've also made some small changes to the prologue:
Added a timer (showing time and physics engine speed), meant to support the timing and validity of speedruns
Fixed physics grounded issue (which was mostly noticable in the starting area, when jumping on the roof of the crypt)
Fixed bug where store wouldn't close in 2p mode if one player is dead before opening store
Updating Unity version and Rewired version, allowing for newer controllers and some rare game breaking bugs (for example in combination with Citrix)
Tweak in crypt collapse to prevent player lock in at falling pilar
Camera doesn't crash anymore if camera bound is smaller than camera size
Fixed bug where you could move past a door collider when being hit by a bomb
No longer clear steam achievements on clearing saved data
Some other under the hood fixes
News on the full game Although we don't have a release date yet, the full game is taking more and more shape. Below is a screenshot from one of the levels included in the full game.
We've been steadily working on the full game for the past weeks. We have decided to roll out some new functionality to the demo as well (along with some bug fixes).
Multiple save slots, giving players the ability to start multiple new games. Your existing saved game will be in the first slot.
Now able to set mouse buttons in controller settings (can be set as a keyboard key)
Holding a bomb while landing on a launching platform doesn't cause problems anymore
Going through a door while other player is down now kills other player (keeping alive caused issues)
Fixed bugs for using touch screen
Able to unequip weapons by "selecting" them with a controller
Fixed bug where arrows shot in foot-deep water had their graphics warped
Slight change end of demo message
And most importantly: showkeeper in crypt now also sells frying pan

Our future plans...
Our Kickstarter campaign has ended, unfortunately we did not reach our crowdfunding goal. On the other hand the demo/prologue has been downloaded more than 84.000 times! Our community has grown a lot and we have received great reviews and feedback from our players.
All of this has convinced us to continue with the development of Unsung Warriors part-time.
Many of you have already visited the demo's Shrine in the West, and are aware that the Kickstarter campaign affected the demo in real time. Now that the outcome of our campaign has been decided, the final state of the shrine has been activated. We'd like to leave this picture of all the NPC's here, to commemorate the hopeful times that once were in the world of Unsung Warriors.
Dark times are coming...
According to the Prophecy, the Unsung Warriors were supposed to save the lands from an imminent doom. Now that their rise has been denounced, the world will descend slowly into chaos. So if the Warriors are ever to rise against all odds, then that will make them truly earn the title of 'Unsung'.
For now however, things are looking grim. A long time NPC has fallen under the weight of the burden he carried. Visit the shrine to see what happened (warning: it might be shocking).
