Until None Remain VR

Servers are now Shutdown

The servers are now shutdown and online play is no longer available. Thanks.

Servers Shutting down August 1st

We unfortunately have decided to shutdown the servers for Until None Remain on August 1st at 5 PM CDT. The current revenue coming in is not enough to maintain running the servers so we cannot continue to run them.

We want to thank everyone that helped out with testing and played it after release.

$1 This Week

Until None Remain will be available for $1 until June 5th.

New Permanent Price $2 - Just $1.20 This Week!

We have an important announcement today. We have decided to reduce the normal everyday price of both the PC and VR editions of Until None remain to just $2. We are immediately launching into a 40% discount which will make each title available for just $1.20 for the next week.

The Early Access period didn’t exactly go as expected. We failed to reach the player counts necessary to maximize in the fun in these games. We are going to try to remedy that now by placing Until None Remain a price point which anyone can afford.

We’d like to thank our players for their continual support.

v1.4 Patch Notes

This update was largely dedicated to localization, adding German, Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian language support. It also includes AI and interface improvements.

AI

  • Improved bot running and gunning.

Localization

  • Added support for the German language.
  • Korean is now a supported language.
  • Added Japanese language support.
  • The Portuguese language is now supported.
  • The game is now available with a French localization.
  • Spanish is now a supported language.
  • Support for Italian is now functional.
  • Fixed issues with the server and map names not translating back into english until window was reopened on the Join Server menu.
  • The word Knife is now properly translated in Korean and Japanese.
  • Most of the options menu and join server menu is now refreshed when changing language, some text in the bindings though is still being stubborn.
  • Added translation support for the Display Mode and Vsync options.

User Interface

  • Hint boxes now use a new UI so they can properly stretch or shrink in size for different languages.
  • The localization selection icons have been moved from the top tabs area to the bottom of the GUI to provide room for additional languages.
  • Added a bit of extra whitespace between the primary and secondary weapon backups to properly support the longer text.
  • Adjusted the options menu to better support longer text and to scale if needed, but for the most part making the window larger fixed a lot of the issues.
  • Adjusted the Help Tab window to make it better support longer text, it should work properly with all languages now.

UNR/PTF Bundle

Our dungeon crawling RPG, Prevent the Fall is currently on sale at 75% off, which provides a discount for Until None Remain, as well, if you purchase it with the bundle of the two games. For the next week you will be able to give Until None Remain bundled with Prevent the Fall for cheaper than the everyday price, you can pick up both titles at a 56% discount, or less than the normal price of Until None Remain.

v1.3 Patch Notes

The 1.3 patch focused primarily on 2 new features: Localization and Leaderboards. Both required quite a few changes under the hood so they took a few days of work to get implemented. The localization work was mostly converting over the hints and text over items to work in a way that worked with the Localization in Unreal Engine. As a result they might look a bit different than before and the tips are still due some additional work after this patch. We provided a basic translation for Simplified Chinese and Russian to start off with and is still a work in progress with the Russian one still needing a bit more work to be sized properly in all instances.

The default language is English, but you can change these from each the Join Server Window or from the Options Window. It should change everything as soon as you make your choice, but if there are any lingering issues please restart the client. More languages will be added in future patches, but both of these languages introduce particular challenges that will help us make changes for other languages.

The other additional is the introduction of a Leaderboards. This is available by pressing “L” or clicking on the Leaderboard button from the main menu. The leaderboard information is cached and updated every 5 minutes and Steam names are also cached in the process. The leaderboard information is pulled down every time you visit the Lobby so it should be available as soon as you start up the client and will be refreshed upon returning to it after a match is over. It currently is displaying the following 3 boards: Matches won (with at least 1 player kill), Players Killed, and Bots Killed. Your score for each of these boards are also displayed at the bottom of the top 10 lists.

Localization

  • Localization is now functional. It should be noted that localization is a work in progress and we hope to improve the translations and add additional languages over time. You can alter your localization in the Options by clicking on the appropriate flag icons.
  • Added support for Simplified Chinese.
  • Added support for Russian.

User Interface

  • We needed to make some adjustments to GUIs and systems which were using TextRender components in order to properly support localization. During this process the appearance of some things has been altered.
  • There are new localization flag icons on both the Join Server and Options Menus to easily switch between localizations.
  • A new Leaderboard UI was added. You can press the ‘L’ button or access it from the Main Menu. It will show the top 10 players in matches won (requires at least 1 played killed), Players Killed, and Bots Killed. Top 10s are cached and could take a few minutes to update upon finishishing a match. It will also display your values, which are not cached and updated each time you load into the lobby.

v1.2 Patch Live

The v1.2 patch is now live and features some important improvements and bug fixes.

The most important change is the addition of a key binding system. This is something which players had been asking for and is now available. We also introduced a new Speed Enhancement Power Up, our fourth power up type.

Animations received a quality pass, and we have fixed some issues and improved rifle transitions. Running and gunning also reduces speed now if you are strafing or backpedaling. This is not reduced to the level of aiming but there is a slowdown now where there was none before.

Audio spatialization, invert mouse options, and a slew of smaller tweaks and bug fixes are also included. You can read the full patch notes below.

Animations

  • Improved rifle movement animations by adding an additional blend when moving slowly.
  • Fixed a hitch in the pistol backpedal animation.

Audio

  • Improved wind spatialization on the outdoor map.

Maps

  • Added Speed Enhancement Power Up spawners to the Royale map.

Miscellaneous

  • You now move more slowly when running and strafing or backpedaling.
  • Fixed an issue which made players appear to float slightly above ground after running out of jet fuel if they continued to hold the space bar when jet packing.
  • Fixed an issue with speed enhancements or impairments allowing dead players to move.

Power Ups

  • Introduced new Speed Enhancement Power Ups. These power ups automatically place the player into sprint mode and provides them with unlimited stamina for 20 seconds. This allows them to sprint that entire time without losing stamina. Pressing and releasing the shift key will cancel out of this effect early if desired.

User Interface

  • Keybinding options are now available in the UI. You can remap all “action” inputs such as shoot, jump, reload, etc. You cannot remap movement and camera actions (mostly WASD, camera rotation, etc) at the moment. It supports resetting back to the defaults, should change color if duplicate, alt+shift+ctrl support, gamepad support, and mouse button support as well.
  • Added a visual reference to the bottom of the screen for the 1st slots for your primary and secondary backpack slots.
  • Added an Invert Mouse/Gamepad option to the settings.
  • Map now refreshes when the match starts to clear out some capture issues with the map and first loading in.
  • Map is now hidden when waiting on a match to start as it doesn’t match to where you are as you are under the map in a holding area.
  • Match time now stacks on top of the map so if the map is hidden it will move down toward the bottom of the screen.

Weapons

  • Increased chance laser weapons will load on the map.

Happy New Year!

On the behalf of our staff we'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

V1.1 Patch is Live

Our first patch since Early Access Release is mostly a Quality of Life patch to improve using and switching weapons along with a few bug fixes and adjustments. The major QoL improvements are to pickup and backpack switching. You can now switch out your primary and secondary weapons with the 1st slot in the backpack by holding down 1 and 2 for half a second respectively (up/down d-pad on a controller). You will stow any weapon out and swap the weapon with the one in your backpack then equip it.

To go along with the switching changes we introduced improvements to picking up weapons as well. If using ‘E’ you will now backpack the weapon you have active and will then grab the new weapon instead of telling you your hands are full. By default it will also now drop the weapon in your hand if your backpack is full, you can disable this in the options if you don’t want it to ever drop a weapon without doing it manually. ‘F’ works in a similar fashion with dropping with the 1st slot being dropped to make space. So in short if you want to use the weapon you are picking up use ‘E’, if you want to stash it in your backpack use ‘F’.

We introduced a handful of other smaller changes: Toggle sprint option (disabled by default, can be enabled in the options), controller adjustments to follow better norms (see notes below we changed nearly everything) we are almost there with full play session support for gamepads, less initial spread on sniper rifles, rifles, and pistols, new win screen, auto reload when empty (enabled by default, can disable in options), more info messages on dropping and backpack usage, can now drop stowed weapons, and more listed below.

Finally we fixed a critical bug found during testing with interaction and multiple players near the same object that would screw up their pickup states. This was fixed along with proper locking so an item cannot be picked up by 2 players. Thanks Dark and crew for helping with that one.

We hope you enjoy the new patch and want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Animations

  • Improved animation blending when picking up items with a weapon equipped.
  • Aim Backpedaling with a melee weapon equipped now players a backpedaling animation.

Audio

  • Fixed a bug which was causing footstep sounds to play twice when a pistol was equipped.

Inputs

  • Left and Right Arrow keys should now properly movely you like A/D does.
  • Right shift will now sprint.
  • Right alt will now crouch.
  • Num 0 can now be used to equip.
  • You can now use B to exit the vehicle (controller)
  • Added the option to have sprint work as a toggle instead of a hold down. You can find it in the options, by default it is disabled.
  • Added sprint to the gamepad by pressing the left stick. It is setup as a toggle no matter the settings as holding it down and moving is rather difficult.
  • Controller inputs got moved around a bit: A - Jump, X - Reload, Y - Interact, B - Backpack, Right Stick Press - Drop, Left Stick Press - Sprint (Toggle), Left Shoulder - Crouch, Right Shoulder - Equip/UnEquip.
  • Weapon switching now has an option to hold it down for half a second to swap out the weapon with the one in your backpack.
  • Fixed an issue with moving forward/backwards on the bike with the controller using the left stick (controller)

Items

  • Pickups are now properly checking if they are active on the server in the case of 2 people grabbing around the same time, whomever gets to it 2nd on the server will not get a “Too slow” message instead of the pickup.
  • Fixed an issue where the pickup code was telling other players incorrectly to pickup an item if more than 1 player was near the pickup.

Maps

  • Fixed a floating rocket on the indoor map.

Miscellaneous

  • It now restores stamina at the start of a match.
  • Reduced the time the server locks down the players from connecting to the server from 30 seconds to 15 seconds before the match starts.
  • Updated some tips in the tutorial to the new gamepad controls and added a few more.
  • Camera collision improvements.
  • Fixed an issue where shortly after grabbing something, aiming, and firing it would adjust the camera from breaking the interaction of the grabbing from earlier. It will now check if aiming and ignore the camera adjustment now.
  • Fixed a jump related bug which allowed you to glide if macroed.
  • Fixed a typo on the tip explaining bots.
  • Fixed a typo in the E-Shield tip in the tutorial.
  • Put in a few additional checks on dropping to make sure you aren’t dropping during some states like equip and pickup as it was causing some issues.

User Interface

  • Pressing the 1,2, or 3 button to switch to primary, secondary, or melee weapon will now automatically equip the weapon if it was the weapon you already had selected and the weapon was stowed.
  • Reduced the transparency of the selection graphic for the inventory item icon so it is a bit easier to see which item is active.
  • A new win screen was added when you win a match.
  • Adjusted the time display to be slightly more accurate, it was often off by 1 second.
  • Put a short delay on displaying the minimap when a level first loads into the Waiting Room on the outdoor map to give the lightmaps time to load. This corrects an issue where there would be seams in places on the minimap on some systems.
  • Adjusted backpack opening to interrupt some interaction states so it can open, this mostly was noticeable after picking up a weapon and it taking a bit of time to be able to open.

Vehicles

  • Fixed an issue which was preventing vehicle ramming damage from affecting other players.

Weapons

  • Sniper rifle now has less initial spread so it should be more accurate when shooting.
  • Handguns and rifles now have less initial spread as well. They still have the same spreading afterwards, but the first shot should be a bit more accurate.
  • Added auto reload when a weapon empties and you have ammo to reload. It is enabled by default and can be disabled in the options if you desire.
  • Weapons can now be dropped while stowed.
  • Pickup (E) usage has changed a bit. You will now backpack whatever weapon you have when using it if there is room and pickup the new weapon. This makes it easier to use E to force a pickup and F to add it to your backpack.
  • Weapons now display a message when added to the backpack.
  • Dropping will now display a message.
  • Dropping from the backpack will now display a message.
  • Added an option called “Drop if Backpack Full” to the options. It is enabled by default and will force dropping of either the held or stowed weapon if using (E) if the backpack is full or backpack slot 1 if using (F). This can be disabled in the option if you would rather it not ever drop anything without you doing it yourself.
  • If you hold down 1 or 2 (or up/down on gamepad) for half a second it will now swap out the weapon with the one in your backpack slot then will equip the weapon for use.
