We want to share some data on our demo from Steam Next Fest.
We received a lot of positive feedback, bug reports, and suggestions. At its peak our broadcast gained 1,391 viewers, thank you for your interest. The demo was successfully played by 808 players.
Of the fun stat moments: you somehow died 9 times in Nowhere. We assume you still got change from Boxing Machine with a 1:100 chance :) One of you took a weapon from the first level to the boss.

New Demo
New version is out! We revisioned the whole game and added a small storyline just to give you the main course of what you are doing. Now demo starts with intro video, has tutorial that is now more elegant and is integrated in gameplay. There are 5 levels, each one introduces new mechanics to the player. Overall now it is looking closer to what we wanted the game to look like. On the 5 level you will meet the Realm Boss, in the demo it’s Stone Golem. Changelog:
Added grades for enemies. Now enemies gradually get stronger. In Prologue you can face Grade 2 in Arenas, they have more health and are stronger than their lower-grade versions
Dialogue system. Finally, a bit of liveness in our world. NPC now can talk and give you quests. Now now, though, but in the future interaction with them will be possible.
Rebalanced weapons, made the firearms to be Epic+ (purple grade). Tried to make melee weapon stats intuitively clear based on their size, material, and “weight”, so the long metal pipe be a better weapon than a wooden cub. Of course, real melee weapons like swords and axes have better stats between same-level items because being a weapon is their purpose
Added energy. It’s some sort of experience that you get crushing through levels and monsters. Each destroyed object and killed enemy gives you a few points that are filling a progress bar. After filling it, you can choose between 3 buffs for this run. Right now there are Health, Damage, Money and Speed boosts. They last till you die.
Music and sounds. Finally added a theme to each level, and reworked hit\death\attack sounds of each monster.
Reworked loot system. Now there are more ways to get money and matter.
Polished movement mechanics, added bars for sprinting and dodge
HUD redesign
Overall, it’s the main changes, though they made a big impact on how the game feels. (Yeah, finally it feels like a game).

Cut out the debug functions that accidentally got into the demo
AI no longer run up when there is no player in sight
Dynamite no longer falls through the floor in the dungeon

Small FAQ about
Small Manual about game mechanics.
Right now there are 2 realms: Dungeon and Islands. Every fifth level is safezone - Nowhere. If you reach it, later you can start from this level from the home portal.
Inventory is used to stock up artifacts. There are 3 types of inventory Home storage - accessible only from Home location Backpack inventory - slots that are only for carrying the artifacts Pouch - Slots on the character where are artifacts “in use”. Only in these slots artifacts will affect the character. You can buy pouch slots at the PC in Home Location.
Currency - right now there are 2 types of currency - money and matter. Money is used to buy upgrades from the shop, and matter currently is not used.
Artifacts - Boosts some of your stats, can be found in enemies and in the environment. Right now there are 11 artifacts each one boosts one or two stats of the character.
Weapons - every usable object in the world can be used as a weapon. Firearms have ammo, melee weapons have durability. Every weapon can be thrown. Big objects like boxes can be broken and give some loot (artifacts and weapons).
