No, your eyes do not Fool you on this fine April day.
Yes, this is something that actually exists and you can download!
R Talsorian Games, of the seminal Cyberpunk RED fame, whose name you might’ve learned about from a certain other award-winning Cyberpunk videogame, or its related anime that coincidentally also includes a small lady called Rebecca; has just released one of their many fun and interesting DLCs (free supplements of neat things you can add to your Tabletop RPG sessions) and the topic this time around is your favorite depressed woman in her late 20s and her friends.
Mixing Drinks–Changing Lives is a 20 pages long supplement that gives you a good idea on how to add VA-11 Hall-A characters to your Night City escapades.
Is this canon? Only as canon as you want it to be with your gaming group. Which is to say… not officially, no. But the R Talsorian peeps went so far above and beyond in translating the world and ideas of VA-11 Hall-A that it might as well be!
It’s not, though. We wouldn’t have been able to release this sort of small and fun collab so easily or swiftly if it was.
If this got you interested you should go to their website and download it! And maybe grab a copy of the Core Rulebook while you’re there. I also have it in good authority that their supplement Black Chrome has a cheeky nod to VA-11 Hall-A for those observant enough.
And if you want a bit more detail on how this all happened, we have a blog post about it! Click here.

Sukeban Games Popularity Poll 2019 Results!
Before starting, we want you to know that you’ve been heard! As such Fore has been honored with the Best Boy award to make up for the fact he wasn’t present in the poll in spite of unprecedented support for everyone’s favorite cat.
On March 21, 2017, we posted the results of an impromptu popularity poll that ran for a week. In that poll there were 1318 total entries among which we counted 3975 null votes and 11832 unassigned points.
A bit short and messy.
In December of 2019 we ran another popularity poll and this time it was allowed to run for almost a month. We received a total of 17941 entries across three different language polls. This time, between them there were merely 567 null votes and 998 unassigned points.
As it turns out, properly explaining the rules in the poll itself goes a long way!
But what are these “rules”? Simple! You pick your top five characters going down in order from first to fifth favorite. Each one gets between 5 and 1 points depending on how high their position is and their final position in the poll itself depends on the sum total of these points. Duplicate votes in each entry are removed and the options are pushed up in position, with the new empty space being counted as “null” in the final tally. In this way people can vote for more than just a single favorite and the results are still reflective of how prominent in votes that character’s popularity was overall.
Now, we could jump straight into the top 10 but there’s more to tell! We were able to separate data through more means, not only through gender but also through region owing to having three separate polls: One in Chinese, one in Japanese, and one in English. It should be noted that the English poll was the only available option to participate in for a couple of hours and so a lot of people from other regions voted in it in their excitement; of note too is that the Japanese poll was actually shared by some Japanese video game media outlets, and the Chinese poll received an outpouring of support even though some of the entrants may have had to use a VPN to participate.
You’re all awesome is what we’re trying to say.
So, let’s address some of the results common to all of the polls.
The Big Three
These are Jill, Dorothy, and Dana, in that order from first to third. They’re the most recurrent first, second, and third places across all three polls and their subsets—with the specific exception of Non-Binary and Female in the English poll, where it switches to “Jill, Dana, Dorothy” instead.
They’re even the top three most recurrent top three placements! Across all three polls the most prevalent characters for first and second favorites are Jill, Dorothy or Dana. Everyone’s third favorite position is mixed up a bit however, with in order of most common to least, “Dana, Dorothy, Jill” in both EN and CN, and “Dorothy, Jill, Dana” in JP.
The Warring Triad
The next three spots are just as recurrent but not nearly as set. These three are Stella, Sei, and Alma. These three are recurrent in these three spots most cases with a few exceptions. In the JP Non-binary and CN Non-diclosed subsets Alma got displaced by Anna, while in the CN Non-binary subset Stella got displaced by Anna and tied with Kira☆Miki.
The order of these three in the grand total switches per region. In EN it’s “Alma, Sei, Stella”, with JP being “Stella, Alma, Sei”, and CN ordered as “Sei, Alma, Stella”.
In EN the “Alma, Sei, Stella” order is the same in all the subsets save for Non-Binary and Others where it’s “Sei, Alma, Stella” instead.
In JP their “Stella, Alma, Sei” order is consistent across all subsets except Non-Binary where instead its “Stella, Anna, Sei”, with Others having no patterns save for Jill being in first place.
In CN the “Sei, Alma, Stella” pattern is only kept for the Male and Others subset, whereas in all other subsets Anna displaces someone else, so we end up with “Sei, Alma, Anna” for Female, “Sei, Anna, Alma” for Non-Binary, and “Stella, Anna, Sei” for Secret.
The Battle Royale
After these 6 spots the results start varying wildly, growing ever more wild as they go down the list. However, where a Top 10 is concerned, some names recur: Anna, Kira☆Miki, Gillian, Streaming-chan, and Rad Shiba. With the first three of those being commonplace and the rest switching and shifting and barely not making it into the top 10.
Those that just barely missed their shot at the Top 10 include Gil, Kira☆Miki, Anna, Rad Shiba, and Streaming-chan. Streaming-chan makes a comeback in JP, however, where she actually beats Kira☆Miki and leaves the dog out of the top 10. In CN, neither Streaming-chan nor Rad Shiba make it to the top 10 and it’s Betty instead who wraps up the recurrent names of Gillian, Kira☆Miki and Anna. Funnily enough, in the CN Female demographic the counter for null votes is so large it manages to displace Deal. Poor guy.
The Top 10
Finally! The moment you’ve been waiting for: Let’s talk about the top 10 characters and what they have to say!
“If I could I would clone myself and give each and every single one of you a hug! But they told me it’s not in the budget, and something about being confused for a military operation.”
#7 - Gillian (11962 points)
“Wait, I went up one spot? Why? How? When? What did I do?”
#6 - Stella (19637 points)
“You’re all COWARDS for not voting Sei higher… The number one spot isn’t good enough for her! She deserves the number Zero spot! The… the… the minus infinity plus one spot!”
#5 - Sei (21244 points)
“Heheheh… just knowing there’s people out there that like me that much is enough for me.” “They’re COWARDS, Sei!”
#4 - Alma (22448 points)
“To everyone that told me that I wouldn’t amount to anything: You were right at the time. I was a complete shithead, but I’m still gonna rub this accomplishment in your faces.”
#3 - Dana (35109 points)
“I’m justifiably in a position I’d rather not be in, but the cream will rise to the top… and you can be damn sure I’ll rise because THESE GIRLS ARE ENOUGH TO BRING ME TO THE BOILING POINT”
#2 - Dorothy (44276 points)
“Thank you everyone~! Dorothy will keep doing her best to be like a cool pillow and a warm blanket when you need those the most!”
Announcing Cyberpunk Bartender Action N1RV Ann-A! Coming in 2020
It is with great pleasure that we announce that a new game in the Cyberpunk Bartender Action series is in the works! featuring a whole new cast and new ways to play and see the story unfold.
The story this time around is about Sam, a bartender living in Saint Alicia; an artificial island that, just like Glitch City, was developed as a playground for corporations that have been forming city states of their own around the globe in order to circumvent regulations. Sam is at odds with her romantic partner, Leon, who is the head of a small Yakuza family that operates at the redlight district. Their relationship is in the rocks, as they deal with the conflicts arising from their very different lives while taking care of their 8 year-old boy, Tony, who’s growing up in a increasingly harsher society.
The game has been in development for about nine months and we decided it was in a good enough state to be shown. It will be a stand-alone game, meaning that you don’t have to play VA-11 Hall-A in order to enjoy it (but it will certainly give you insight into existing lore). It will also feature big improvements over VA-11 Hall-A in many aspects, but you’ll have to wait a bit more to find out.

A lot of work has gone into this reveal so I want to thank to everyone involved in this project. It’s been a huge pleasure to go back to the world we started with Valhalla and it certainly won’t be the last title to do so!
We have a Steam page up already so you can wishlist!
-Minimal bug fixes
-Repacked songs inside the game data due to licensing issues
Some people have noticed the voice beeps changed. This is unintended, so we'll probably fix that later.
Some have also reported creepy images inside the game folder, but I don't know about that.
In the name of Sukeban...
PS: 我们正在为支持中文字体而努力,请稍等!
Prologue Redux is here!
The day Corgis invaded Valhalla is now part of the full game.
Originally starring the grumpy veterinarian Betty, her personal Slave Boy™ Deal, and an army of dogs that gave Jill a mild PTSD (she actually just can’t stand dogs anymore, not really a PTSD), the Prologue episode was a small three-chapter release meant to be a test to gauge interest, get some money to fund development, and a bonus for pre-ordering all at the same time. We got tons of feedback that shaped the final product and it was key to our survival.
This content is now available inside the main game! It sports the shiny new visuals from the current engine, new story bits, extra room skins and new music from Garoad, plus awesome remixed songs from SageW and SenzaFine.
Look for this Rare Gab!
We hope you enjoy this piece of extra content, see you next time.
