Sure, Flicker can disappear and all, but he’s been a little too invisible in the meta itself in recent patches. These tweaks should help him see more playtime alongside his fellow Captains.
Viola continues to reign supreme; punishing her enemies again, and again. We are tuning down her slow, making her ultimate a little less available and toning down the mortal wound damage to bring her more in line with the other Captains.

UPDATE 4.11 - SHIN: THE DIVINE FLAME
Blazing a trail of Sacred Flames through the war zone, new hero Shin joins the battle! A divine warrior sent to protect the weak, Shin wields his mystical fire to destroy evil and bring your team to victory. Read all the details on this fierce fire warrior below and get ready to feel the heat in update 4.11!
HERO ABILITIES
FLAME CHARGE (PERK) Every time Shin uses an ability, he gains Heat, filling up his Flame Charge meter. When the meter is full he gains bonus movement speed and empowered versions of all his abilities. The Flame Charge meter is reset upon performing an empowered ability.
BLAZE STRIKE (A) Shin uses his fire tipped spear, striking the ground and dealing damage to all enemies in front of him. Flame Charged: Shin’s strike reaches further and deals more damage.
MYSTIC SASH (B) Shin sends out his Sash which transforms into mystic fire, dealing damage and slowing enemies. Flame Charged: Shin’s Sash deals more damage and roots enemies hit.
SACRED FLAMES (ULTIMATE) Shin holds his ground and fires Sacred Flames, dealing damage in a wide cone to all enemies in front of him. Flame Charged: Shin releases his inner flames and strikes the ground dealing damage to all surrounding enemies.

KARAS REWORKED
In update 4.10 there were some concerns raised by the community with respect to new hero Karas. We heard you, and have updated his kit, descriptions and visual effects to address these issues and have put new safeguards in place make sure that we don’t run into similar concerns in the future. Read on for the new Karas kit details!
MISTRAL BLADE (PERK) Karas’ mythical blade is infused with the power of wind, dealing crystal damage. Whenever Karas uses an ability he gains 0.4 bonus movement speed for 5s.
GUST (A) Karas shoots a powerful Gust in the target direction, dealing crystal damage and slowing enemy heroes hit.
TWISTER (B) Karas rapidly spins with his blade and dashes to the target location, dealing damage to all enemies in his path. Use Twister to reposition yourself while Devil’s Dust (C) is active.
DEVIL’S DUST (C) Karas encases himself in a shroud of wind and attacks enemies with Devil’s Dust. Every fourth attack, the dust deals damage to enemies in an area.

Follow the sweet sound of sacred strings through the forest and you will find new hero Viola; here to save you with her magical songs. Enemies beware when this magical musical support plays one of her Power Ballads! Whether boosting her allies or stopping the enemy in their tracks, she’s got the song to save your soul. Let the music play when update 4.8 hits!

MELODIOUS TUNE (PERK) Every time Viola casts an ability, she gains a stack of Melodious Tune granting her cooldown reduction.
HARMONY (A) Viola sends out a music note that grants a barrier to herself as well as any allies that it passes through (up to 2 stacks)
DISCORD (B) Viola sends out a music note that deals damage to the first enemy it hits.
POWER BALLAD (ULTIMATE) Viola plays one of 4 songs based on her active Harmony and Discord notes that apply various effects when allies or enemies are touched by the aura.
FLEETING SONG (A-A-A) Cleanses movement impairing effects and grants movement speed to tagged allies.
TEMPO (A-A-B) Applies an attack speed boost and cooldown reduction to tagged allies for 5 seconds.
LULLABY (B-B-B) Applies the Drowsy debuff to tagged enemy heroes that inflicts a ramping slow. After a short period of time, they will be put to sleep.

UPDATE 4.6: ISHTAR THE ANCIENT EVIL
ISHTAR: THE ANCIENT EVIL
After thousands of years locked away, Ishtar emerges, an ancient evil here to destroy the enemy…much to her delight. Ishtar summons her Blades at will, and manipulates them to do her bidding. This blade wielding battle mage uses her basic attacks, and those of her Blades to dominate the battlefield, leaving only destruction in her wake. Unleash the ancient power within when the update drops!
HERO ABILITIES
DEMONIC DECREE (PERK) Ishtar’s basic attacks deal crystal damage and scale with her overall crystal power.
If Ishtar performs a basic attack in the presence of a Blade, it will also perform a basic attack dealing bonus CP damage.
SHADOW RAZOR (A) Ishtar fires a Blade in a straight line that travels toward the target location, dealing damage to all enemies that it passes through. All existing nearby Blades are commanded to dash towards the target location.
BLADE WHIRL (B) Passive: Gains attack speed per level.
Active: Ishtar and all of her Blades perform a spinning slash, dealing damage in an area around them and slowing enemies hit. Landing Blade Whirl gives Ishtar a movement speed boost.
ASCENSION (ULTIMATE) Ishtar destroys all existing Blades before creating four new ones near her. Afterwards she becomes empowered, gaining a new basic attack as well as additional lifesteal and movement speed.
TALENTS
INDOMITABLE (RARE) Ishtar gains a stack of Indomitable on each hero kill or assist and loses one on death. Each stack grants bonus armor, shield and vampirism. (up to 10 stacks.)
PINNED AND NEEDLES (EPIC) Ishtar’s Blade Whirl (B) now will root targets and deal increased damage.
RELENTLESS (LEGENDARY) Every time a Blade is summoned, Ishtar gains additional attack speed for 10 seconds (up to 20 stacks).

Blitz: Reloaded still holds the main objective of being the first team to reach 15 points, but in this revamped version, you’ll have faster out-of-combat regen, shorter cooldowns, higher starting levels and more. There’s even an extra shop by each team’s second turret to save a little time. Why, you ask? Because time is of the essence in new mini mode Blitz: Reloaded, which ends in two minutes instead of five! That’s right, two minutes of all out fun is headed your way! UPDATE 4.5: MIHO THE SWIFT SWORD
MIHO: THE SWIFT SWORD
Meet Miho, a fleet footed hyper carry with a razor sharp sword! Miho is a master of duels who zips around the battlefield picking off enemies. With careful use of her Keen Eye perk, enemies are Unguarded and all of her damage is amplified for a short period of time enabling her to quickly take them out. Follow the way of the sword with Miho when the update drops!
HERO ABILITIES
KEEN EYE (PERK) Instead of energy, Miho uses Focus for her abilities. Miho’s abilities apply Keen Eye stacks to enemy heroes. Once her stacks are applied, Miho’s next basic attack or Reizan causes them to become Unguarded, stunning and damaging enemies and granting Miho a barrier.
REIZAN (A) Miho teleports, dealing damage to all enemies that she passes through and around the area that she appears.
Overdrive: This ability is refreshed whenever any enemy becomes Unguarded.
SHINGETSU (B) Miho performs a quick, long range slash that deals damage to all enemies in a line. This ability can be recast immediately until she is out of Focus.
NOTE: To cancel Shingetsu, use the red C ability button (shown below).
TSUKUYOMI (ULTIMATE) After a brief channel, Miho fires a crescent wave of energy from her blade that deals damage to every target that it passes through. Tsukuyomi will also destroy enemy projectiles that it passes through and applies Keen Eye stacks to every enemy it hits.

UPDATE 4.4: THE MIGHTY WARHAWK
THE MIGHTY WARHAWK
Warhawk is a mighty mobile mage that uses his Rocket Launcher to deal damage and maneuver deftly around the battlefield. He excels at controlling large areas using his Vacuum Grenade and Mightiest Barrage and can easily get himself out of trouble if enemies don’t CC him down. Get ready to zone the enemy and rule the map with this tiny but mighty Bleekos badboy.
HERO ABILITIES
MK-II ANNABELLE (PERK) After casting an ability, Warhawk’s next basic attack has increased range and deals bonus CP damage.
ROCKET RIDE (A) Warhawk fires a rocket that deals damage in a small AoE on impact. The blast from the gun is so powerful that the kickback sends Warhawk backwards at the same time.
VACUUM GRENADE (B) Warhawk throws a grenade to a target location. Upon reactivation (or when it times out), it will detonate and pull enemy heroes towards the center, stunning those caught in the blast.
MIGHTIEST BARRAGE (ULTIMATE) Warhawk takes aim and selects up to three locations before firing a missile to each marked spot, dealing damage on impact and scorching the ground. Enemy heroes standing in scorched areas take damage over time and are slowed.
TALENTS
HEALING BOMB (RARE) Vacuum Grenade now also provides a substantial heal to allies in the blast radius.
ROCKETEER (EPIC) Rocket Ride’s knockback is greatly increased and deals increased damage.
SUPER MEGA BARRAGE (LEGENDARY) Mightiest Barrage can now target five locations. The impact damage is decreased but the burn is drastically increased.

FRIENDS LIST REMINDER!! Your Friends List is getting an overhaul in update 4.4! To initiate the refresh process, just update and log in anytime during update 4.4. Any accounts that are not logged in to during this update will lose their Friends List so make sure to log in while 4.4 is active! UPDATE 4.3: LEO THE BLADEBREAKER
LEO THE BLADEBREAKER
Let’s give a real hero’s welcome to our newest addition to the Vainglory roster. Meet Leo, the Bladebreaker, a brawny bodyguard with a jet powered sword. Leo is a veritable powerhouse in Lane or Jungle, gathering up enemies and crushing them. Make sure to keep up your Turbo Blade stacks for a huge movespeed boost. Read on to learn more about this big bad bruiser and his monstrous blade!
HERO ABILITIES
TURBO BLADE (PERK) Whenever Leo uses an ability, the turbo engine on his blade engages, granting him bonus movespeed (up to 3 stacks). Leo’s basic attacks are slow but deal damage to all targets in front of him.
CRUSHING STRIKE (A) Leo charges his blade before striking down in front of him dealing heavy damage to enemies in the area.
JET CYCLONE (B) Leo briefly charges his blade before dashing to his target location, damaging and slowing enemies around him.
Overdrive: Slow duration increases at max rank.
LION’S MIGHT (ULTIMATE) Leo briefly charges his blade then jumps in the target direction, damaging enemies in the area and empowering himself with Lion’s Might, granting additional effects on his other abilities. If there are enemy heroes near Leo, he will use Lion’s Fury instead, shoving all enemy heroes in a target direction and stunning them before leaping to them and unleashing two great strikes on them.
Lion’s Might – Crushing Strike (A) – Deals bonus damage and causes enemies to bleed for 4s.
Lion’s Might – Jet Cyclone (B) – Deals bonus damage and roots enemies instead of slowing them.
TALENTS
SONIC TURBINE (RARE) Turbo Blade (Perk) grants additional movespeed as well as weapon power & crystal power.
MOCKING SLASH (EPIC) Jet Cyclone (B) taunts enemies hit and passively grants additional defense.
LION’S ROAR (LEGENDARY) Lion’s Might (C) empowerment is extended and is no longer removed when using other abilities.

HERO SALE EXTRAVAGANZA! A huugggeee hero sale is coming in 4.3! All heroes will be available at discounted prices this update. This includes a major ICE price reduction on the entire roster of heroes. You’ll also see a reduction in Glory cost for most of the heroes (some up to 80%!). Along with recent changes to XP, level expansion and rewards that came to you in update 4.2, these promotions will give you the opportunity to build your hero pool faster and easier. Look for these awesome hero promotions when Update 4.3 hits!
LEO AVAILABLE FOR GLORY ON DAY ONE! WHAT??? We’re kidding right? Nope! For the first time ever, our new hero for 4.3 will be available for glory upon release! In addition to the huge hero sale this update, Leo will no longer be ‘ICE only’ for the first week, and can now also be purchased for glory. (Note: there is an updated glory cost increase for newest hero).

Taka now exits stealth when activating Charm.
Fixed a bug with the calculation of the bonus attack range granted by Baron’s Ult. Previously, the listed attack range at levels 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 of his Ult was 5.9 / 6.3 / 6.7 / 7.1, but his actual range was 5.9 / 5.9 / 6.7 / 8.3. His listed and actual attack range is now 5.7 / 6.3 / 6.9 / 7.5.
Fixed a bug on Caine’s Triple Tap (A) that caused it to have a shorter range than intended.

UPDATE 4.2: CAINE THE HIGH STAKES HITMAN
Springtime is in full swing and everything is in bloom as we welcome new hero Caine, a revolver wielding hitman with a lust for blood, plus the return of a long time favorite game mode (spoiler alert: ARAL is back) and more! Read on for all the details.
CAINE: BULLETS & BLOODLUST
Meet Vainglory’s newest hero Caine! Caine is a revolver wielding, high stakes Hitman that ducks in and out of the fight, delivering large bursts of damage to all his foes. Use your Triple Tap to fire up to three Bullets in rapid succession paired with a wicked slow. Want to finish ’em off quickly? Use Last Rites to pierce through enemies with an explosive finish. Make sure you manage your Bullets well so you don’t get caught with an empty chamber!
HERO ABILITIES
TRIPLE TAP (A) Caine rapidly fires up to three Bullets in a line, damaging and slowing enemies hit.
ONCE MORE (B) Caine dashes in his target direction, reloading Bullets and refreshing Triple Tap & Last Rites. Whenever he lands a basic attack or an ability, the cooldown of Once More is reduced.
Overdrive: At max rank, all six Bullets are reloaded.
LAST RITES (ULTIMATE) Caine fires a long range Bullet that pierces through all enemies. The Bullet explodes at max range, dealing damage and instantly killing enemies below a certain threshold of health.

ANOTHER ROUND (RARE) Once More (B) grants invulnerability while dashing.
JUDGE AND JURY (EPIC) Last Rite’s (C) execute threshold is increased but may no longer be refreshed by Once More (B).

THE RETURN OF ARAL ARAL is back baby! We admit it, we made a boo boo. We maaaaay have miscalculated Rumble’s popularity a bit and underestimated your love of ARAL. We heard your feedback and are bringing back our original short mode ARAL to the persistent mode roster for 4.2. Fear not Rumble Lovers! Rumble will move into the event mode rotation, so be on the look out for new events!
ACCOUNT PROGRESSION UPDATES
(NEW) XP BOOSTS FOR ALL! Tired of taking forever to grind your way up the levels? Frankly, so were we. So we have fully revamped the XP system to bring meaning and most importantly fun, back to account progression. With greater XP gains you’ll level up faster and more frequently. To celebrate this system rework, everyone will receive a 25% XP Boost for the 4.2 Update Cycle! Want even moar XP? Head over to the market and check out the Permanent XP Boost deals headed your way(and YES, the Permanent Booster will stack with the 4.2 XP Boost Event!).
(NEW) EXPANDED LEVELS! We wanted to reward all the new players making their way up the levels, as well as the old guard who maxed their account levels long ago; so in conjunction with the new and improved XP system, we have added just a little to the old Level 40 account cap. Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present LEVEL 200! Thats right, not only have we made the climb faster and more fun, you can climb all the way to Level 200 starting in Update 4.2, including newly updated level-up rewards! See you on The Rise!
IN GAME FEATURES
(NEW) KILL BOUNTY What are you really worth? Now there’s an easy way to tell! Well, in game at least. In Update 4.2 we have added a new setting that will show your Kill Bounty on the scoreboard in place of your Creep Score. Once you have updated to 4.2, this setting will be on by default. (to toggle this setting on/off, just head to your in game settings under ‘Preferences’)
(NEW) HUD HEALTH BARS! Always looking to improve your in game experience and give you the tools you need to shine, we have added health bars to the HUD hero portraits. Now with just a quick glance you’ll know just how healthy your allies and visible enemies are, allowing for smarter plays and better engages. Additionally allied ultimate indicators are now visible on the HUD portraits. Now get out there and make some plays!

Targeted abilities will no longer snap to the nearest target while using the Instant Cast setting on desktop
Fixed a bug that sometimes caused spawn camp minimap icons to get stuck in incorrect states
Fixed a bug where the tooltip for Rona’s B would display random numbers for the damage of the second hit
Fixed a bug where Blackclaw and Ghostwing aggroed random targets
