Enabling Cloud saves
Hi Vangers!
Important announcement, please read till the end.
Starting February 1st, we will enable Cloud saves. This will enable automatic save-files transfers between all you steam-connected devices
However, if you are playing the game from different devices and have separate set of save files, Steam will ask you to choose between those sets (you CAN NOT save both save files sets automatically!).
There are two possible solutions to resolve save file conflicts.
1. Copy current saves to a safe place. Go to Steam, go to the library, right-click on the game Vangers, select the "Manage" menu item, select "Browse local files" go to the data/savegame/ folder and copy all save files to some other folder.
2. Disable cloud synchronization. Go to Steam, go to settings, select cloud, and disable the first option "Enable Steam cloud". At the same time, if you used Cloud saves in other games, they will also be disabled.
3. Turn off cloud saves for the Vangers only. (This option will appear only after Feb 1st) Open Steam, go to the library, right-click on the Vangers game, select the menu item 'Properties', turn off the 'Cloud Saves' switch.
If you are concerned that you may have save conflicts, do one of these steps before the end of January.

Dear Wild Wheelers! Vangers have turned 25 years old on June 19th.
Hundreds of thousands monades passed through the Infernal Conveyor during these years. Not to say how much Cirt was collected - it's unthinkable!
In an amazing way Creature Soup went beyond the UniVang Universe and all of us have been boiling inside it for a quarter of a century, mutating and evolving.
On many people the game has made an irreversible impact, but the fans have made an impact on it as well: they researched and improved the game, and created lots of unique art pieces. And these processes are still going strong. The Soup is boiling!
Well! Cheers to the devs who created this crazy splendor! ✨ Cheers to the gamers and the Community for the game’s longevity 💫

Vangers: Now in HD!
Today on 22.02.22 an update which was anticipated by many Wheelers shall be released: the game now supports 1280х720 resolution!
How to activate: Options -> Graphics -> Screen: one click and you’re good to go!
These days game's code is published as Open Source and the development is driven by enthusiasts from the game’s Community. A few years ago Nikita “lpenguin” Pryanichnikov created an HD patch, which was refined by joint efforts with the author and so now we can add the resulting upgrade to the official version of the game. Hurrraaaaay!
List of changes: 1) after HD activation you can see world's surface in full screen. Special expanded borders were added for Menu and escaves; 2) Now you can see original arts while traveling through Passages; 3) Stability of Multiplayer mode was significantly improved. Yes, we do play Vangers online! 4) A lot of bugs was fixed too; 5) Credits in the Menu were updated: now you can discover the names of Community members who have been improving the game over the last years.
Known Issues After activation of HD the oxygen bar may be partially overlapped by parts of interface so you won’t see how much you have left. You may use F1 by default to turn off the interface. This will be fixed in the next updates.

Support Vangers in Steam Awards
This year, with the support of Community and thanks to attention from bloggers, Vangers have enjoyed a colossal burst of activity and are thriving.
Nomination "Labor of Love" can be assigned to games which were released before 2020. Its description says: "continue to nurture and support their creation. This game, to this day, is still getting new content after all these years" - that's so us!
There’s just a few days left to nominate this legendary game - your support will be greatly appreciated. It's easy to do: just click on the nomination on the top of this event (you need to be logged into Steam) Or, as a backup option: on the Store Page find the Awards banner, click “Nominate” and choose the only option - "Labor of Love" (If you opened this page through the LIBRARY - you may see instead of normal name #SteamAwards_Category_Title_52 - in that case try to open that Steam page)
