Hello everyone!
This new update has some new gameplay features, customization options, a price drop, and lots of quality of life improvements that people have been requesting. I hope you enjoy!

Gameplay Changes




  • Added Steam achievements
  • Added game tweaks menu to create your own custom game modes
  • Added ? powerups, which give you a random powerup on pickup
  • The player now interacts with blue health ores when using ghost powerup
  • The player now interacts with landmines when using ghost powerup
  • The invincibility powerup now also reflects enemy bullets


Quality of Life Improvements




  • Increased the speed of death sequence
  • Increased the speed of unlock sequence slightly
  • You can now press the engine button to fast forward the gem get sequence
  • The overflow powerup now shows "+40" after its pickup text
  • Brightened up the background of zone 4 in hardmode


Bugfixes




  • Reduced CPU usage on MacOS
  • Added missing glyphs in the font
  • Now shows "key is already bound" error message when trying to bind a taken key
  • Implemented some new math tricks to make the game's physics more consistent
  • Falling blocks no longer shake when the game is paused
  • The annihilate powerup no longer lags the game as badly
  • Falling blocks will behave more consistently across different framerates
  • The player's engine sound can no longer play during boss wakeup cutscene

Vector Prospector Version 1.1 Released!

Hey everyone,

Version 1.1 just rolled out with a bunch more customization options, and a few minor visual tweaks. I got this update finished faster than I thought I would!

The game now has full keyboard customization, controller customization, and the ability to disable the scanline shader. Disabling the shader may be helpful for increasing bitrate in gameplay videos, and especially in livestreams.

I also made a tweak to the scanline shader to make it scale better at different resolutions. And one final thing, the death sequence has been sped up a bit.

I hope that these changes make your gameplay experience better and allow people with non-qwerty keyboard layouts to enjoy the game properly. Let me know what you think!
