Customize the game controls
Starting today, we will be releasing a series of regular updates for our game.
Due to a Holiday season, this update doesn’t contain a lot of changes. The rest of the updates will be coming in monthly intervals and you’ll be getting more new features, or fixes.
Controls change
Controls are now customizable, and you can also choose from a couple of new ways to control your game. You can now switch between the guns in one direction, up or down. This setting is linked to the back/forward buttons on your mouse by default. This means you can change your weapons with your mouse on the fly, if you have those buttons.
Unfortunately, the option to control your game with a gamepad has not been finished yet. We’re hoping to bring you this feature in the next updates!
Bugfixes
The Seekers description in the update menu wasn’t centered.
The in-game settings background was darkened.
The Clone Squares cloning effect was reduced: It could cause the game running slow on lower end machines.
Rarely, the game could be showing zero heath, but you were still alive.
Added a prevention for getting stuck in a wall.
The next update is coming in January, and one of the main features is going to be a localization support, but you can expect a couple of other cool updates as well!
Elite Enemies
Things are more interesting when they get complicated, right? We think the same! An Infinite amount of regular enemies is just boring… So why not more.
Each 10th wave, regardless of the current battle situation, an elite enemy is spawned. The enemy excels with tough defense and strong unique offense system. Elite enemies are the real challenge for you. You will get a great reward for beating each one of them. Decent amount of ammo, more upgrade tokens and higher change for heal token, than from regular enemies. If there are more enemies in the battlefield, they get killed along with the elite.
Let’s take a closer look at our elite enemies.
Laser Cross
So who is this guy? First enemy is the so-called Laser Cross. Construction of the ship is a cross with 4 diamonds. The first phase the ship is protected by a shield. In this phase the ship is chasing you.
Ship will turn on the laser with a pulse three times. It’s a lot of damage but it requires a lot of energy. So after 3 shots the ship is stunned for a moment, then it goes back to a defensive state.
TIP: Try to keep an eye on this elite’s rotation movement. And fly between the ship's edges.
Rocket Thing
Yeah this is our little “Rocketman”, it’s basically just a turret. It stays in it’s spawn location, but likes to keep turning to your position.
This elite fires a lot of missiles at your position then takes a nap. Well he is actually reloading his ammunition, but you don’t need to know the details. In this state he doesn’t care about you at all.
His orange weapons however are harmless so you should focus fire at the blue parts of the ship.
TIP: Try to keep enough distance between this elite so you can manage to move around the turret for the entire duration of it’s firing phase.
Which one of these two elites is making you more nervous in the battlefield? Let us know in the comments!
